  • Gerald Lopez demonstrates ki exercises you can do as part of your solo aikido practice (e.g. during lockdown due to CoVid-19). Do them in a relaxed way, and imagine extending ki in the direction of the movements. Do 4-5 or more repetitions of each exercise. These exercise help to improve your aikido practice and are ideal to do daily.

Sensei. I have been away from Aikido training for 17 years due to life issues. I need to return. This video and your video on bokken are exactly what I need to get started again. Arigato!

I am glad you are starting again! It will be a different experience because of what you may have realised and learned in the 17 years. Enjoy!

Thanks again Mr Lopez. I trained for a few months in a dojo under Matsuoka Sensei and we warmed up with some of these techniques. The biggest takeaway here is you didn't have to speak to the viewers NO WORDS are necessary, in fact one of the main objectives on this is to not speak.

I trained under Sensei Ken Williams in the 90s, believe he’s passed now.

Oh I didn’t know that. I wanted to go and see him last year, but as you know travel got constrained.
