67 and still learning i've just learnt more in 10 minutes than i have in 5 Years Mate you are the bees knees a gift of teaching is what you have thank you for making electronics a lot more interesting for someone who was ready to just chuck stuff in the bin because he couldn't get answers God bless you ....
65 years and still learning, its a great day! Thank you Tamaptec!
Tampatec, your tutorials and others like yours are what makes UA-cam great !
Thanks, James.
Can not find anyone who can fix tv,s where I live so I’m very interested in learning electrical to fix them , I’m a beginner but gotta start somewhere, this video was definitely helpful , thanks a bunch . 👍
wow! learned more in 5 minutes than I thought was possible. thank you very much. keep the tutorial videos coming.
Thanks for this! Aside from sussing out device failure, it's good stuff for checking out cheap Chinese components before installing them.
Dude thank you so much. I am trying to learn to fix & create electronic devices. You explain things very clearly. I appreciate the metaphors and visual representations. Keep up the great work!
This is by far the most helpful video I have found on this subject. I have an LED grow light and one of the drivers blew a resistor and I replaced it and it just blew the new one as well. I figured there had to be another issue somewhere down the line, so I have been trying to find a video to tell me how I can test each part of the driver. I haven't gotten to it yet but once I do this video is going to be a great help. Thanks so much, keep making great informative videos and I'll keep watching!
Brilliant tutorial. Very clear and easy to follow, thank you!!
sir i have learned so much watching these over the last few months
This video is awesome. I learned so much from this one video. I can't thank you enough. Subscribed for sure!
Even for me a hobbyist technician who graduated years ago, it is always something good to remember
Thank you for explaining simple ways to test those items.much appreciated.
VERY helpful! I'm just getting started with troubleshooting, and that information was like gold.
Between you and Louis Rossman have helped me A LOT, thank you for this videos, im going to do the same but translated to spanish.
Again, tremendously helpful! I am running through many of your videos and think they're terrific.
Thanks Man!
Thanks for explaining in simple terms how to check transistors and diodes. It appears that using the diode mode rather than the ohm setting on your meter is a much easier way to tell if you've got a bad one.
Regards, Tom
nice thank you
BY THE WAY YOU ARE HELPING SO MANY STUDENTS TO LEARN SO MANY THINGS FROM YOUR VIDEOS ,THANK YOU .
Very informative....learned stuff I didn't know!!! Thanks and keep up the good work, Sir!!!
I like your teaching style, you keep it simple.
Good vid. Clear. A good base of info.
OMG! Lifesaver! The section on transistors was a great help!
Excellent stuff! I just learned a lot of
good stuff, and in just 10mins.
Many thanks.
58 years old and still learning, because i work 38 years on lathe machine. Thank you very much Tempatec
Yeah, the way you explained them so easy to understand, I like you twisted 2 diodes to form a transistor. thanks for sharing and it's done well.
52 years old and still learning, Thank you
Me too,.and with old young 61 years.
What’s that phrase - Learning is FUNdamental? 😉
So many interesting things to learn too.
How to Mack aspotwelder with a micro-transformer
Its good to learn about basic electronics, but the truth is they do not teach of how to determine in bipolar transistor it is PNP or it is NPN and how to know by tester its pin is base, colecctor, emitter by reading not by position of a transistor or MOSFET transistor
HERMINO JALECO there are so many videos on that
You sir are a legend. Best video on this subject that I've found.
YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND TEACHING IS GOOD.
I wish I found these videos early on :c . Definitely the information I was looking for. Thanks much!

Your way of teaching is too good!
Made a whole bunch of notes on this, thanks heaps!
ime in the industry for some 20 years and this guy knows his stuff you can trust his guidance
Cool video...reminds me of my uncle..he knew all that since he was 15 years old back in El Salvador ,year 1975.he could repair anything back then..
I really thanks to you ,you increased my knowledge. thanks
63 years old and still learning, Thank you
Thanks tampatec I live in Australia your vidoes are the best keep em comming
best tutor so far thanks
Sub'd a while ago, but didn't thumbs up/comment (my Son just explained the importance of doing those things) so I'm back to correct that while refreshing my memory on the parts & procedure needed to fix our 42" Phillips TV! Your info/vids helped me identify the problem & clearly showed me how to repair it using a repair kit (or the easier but more costly replacement power supply board) however I wasn't confident enough with my soldering skills to attempt the repair at the time I found your vids (might have tried despite my fear if our TV only needed 1 or 2 things soldered but the amount of obviously bad "bits"on ours & amounts recommended to be changed or contained in the repair kit far exceeded my DIY bravery LOL) & I haven't been able to swing the cost of a new PS Board so the TV has just been collecting dust.... I quit watching TV a couple years ago so it hasn't bothered me but my Son is a gamer & really misses the big screen...his only wish for Xmas this year is having the TV repaired so I'm hoping to gain enough confidence to do the repair by watching more of your helpful vids...wish me luck!!!
Highly educative and easy to follow
Very useful and informative. Thank you!
Great video always wanted to learn electronics as a hobby this info is priceless
Thanks Brotha,
ps Now I can try and test my Halfer 500 amp

Good explanation thanks keep up the videos they are great and not long winded
Another very useful video. Thank you!
I'm from.🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿 I real appreciate what you do
Good- i liked way u showed things, especially the "joining of 2 diodes make a transistor"
Liked the detail explanations, very educational Thank you
Cool videos TampaTec...keep em coming!!! I live in TPA as well, I am an Electrical Engineer by Schooling, but have worked as an I.T. guy all my life. Keep making videos !!!
Thanks
***** How do i diferentiate a transistor from a voltage regulator they look similar?great tutorial!Right now i am working on a reel to reel with a problem on the control area.it wont play when i actuate the play switch (switch is good)CheersRob
+Tampatec I want ic no digram
thank you very much, May God bless you I just learned a lot, this is the best video please make more videos about relays ,caps and transformers and other component Thank You again.
Thanks man it is fast and easy to understand, you really deserve a billion subs
This video helps me as a beginner trying to learn how to troubleshooting faulty
This is super helpful. I am trying to fix a Halloween inflatable that has the "short circuit" light effect. These are "simple" circuit boards, however I am not a technician. I have tested everything on the 2 small circuit boards. There seems to be a transistor that is not functioning. Sadly I have tried finding the transistor number and have had no luck what so ever. Thanks so much for the great video it really helped a non technician like me.
Thanks for the video, it is very helpful to me. I am into arcade games and pinballs as a hobby so I need to learn the basics of electronics. Right now I am trying to fix a skee ball board that has something shorted out and this video has been helpful how to test some of the components. Thanks.
I am enjoying your videos on you tube........Very Informative....Thanks

Great video man! really good info source
nice work. loving your videos
thanks TampaTec you made me understand the power of the multi digital meters... I own 3 of them thanks to you and use them a lot!!!!!
Thanks for the great video! I have a little knowledge on electronics. I decided to dedicate some time to learn more about it because I have a few amplified speakers which don't turn on and my mission is to be able to fix them myself using only youtube videos like this one and others where they do repairs and explain how amplifiers work... Hopefully it doesn't take too much time. I saw a comment on a website where a guy mentioned "check the MOSFETs they may be the reason of the speakers not turning on.."
And with your explanation on how to check transistors is helping me too.
Thanks, yes you are correct many times they go bad.
Thanks man..cleared some of my confusions.
Hi
Is there any simple way to check ic
Regards
Sam
Thank you so much for your explanation it's very helpful .

Great videos...Thanks for all the help. :)
Thanks!
I found a bad voltage regulator in my headphone distribution amplifier thanks to your video. Ordered the replacement part on ebay.
It was a MC7805C I found the MC7805CT as the replacement. Data specs look the same, but I can't figure out what the T at the end means.
Probably something simple that should have been apparent.
This is a hobby of mine. But I forget it doubt self and this was like best refresher tecer thanks man. Couldn’t remember few ins and outs. Now I just say thanks 🙏
I have spent months studying circuits and found an awesome website at Gregs Electro Blog (google it if you're interested)
Cool vid. Thanks man
Thank you so much Tampatec i learned a lot :)
Your extremely helpful!
Excellent video!
