I grew up watching little house on the Prarie and I remember reading all her books I got the whole set of them for christmas my dad sent me. I would go outside and read them underneath a big walnut tree or by a pond we had in the backyard. You would always find me with my nose in one of her books and is because of her books I have such a love for reading and history to this day She was an amazing author and an amzing woman. May she long rest in peace.
I live in France and I'm waiting with great pleasure the book "Pioneer girl"of Laura Ingalls . When we were child ,my wife and myself we used to see Little House On The Prairie because of a beautifull story of somone working hard and a story of a beautifull familly . My wife is from Italy, and myself French, but this film was popular in both countries and beyond . We have to forget never our own roots and from where we are coming from .
Sonic Hegehog Her real life was so complex and very astonishing!! Learning about her real life is so rewarding because the books and TV show were a very sanitized version, while the lives of those families were a triumph of spirit against almost impossible odds! Try to order books about her real life and you will be surprised! I find the time she lived in, from covered wagons, Indian attacks, and lonely open prairies, to watching the first space flight, to be unbelievable! What a time to have experienced!
christine paris I have great admiration for all of those pioneering families who trekked across our continent in the 1800s. Their courage and their endurance helped to build this country.
Sempre fantastico ☺️
I love the vintage music it fits the story behind, I love all the true stories of Laura my Dad grew up in Kentucky and he even like reading her books. He would tell me about reading with a kerosene lamp, Grandma's wood stove I remember seeing this as a child. My mom used a teddle sewing machine, Thanks for the memories:).
Do you know the canada-series by Janette Oke? The rules Elizabeth (the main character) reads are the same (or at least pretty simular, I've just read the books in german because I'm a Swiss girl that really loves the LHOTP- Show which I use to watch with my family and the books which I read in a few days)
I never learned to speak English properly, but I can read in English because I lived in an orphanage that the library was donated books written in English and I wanted to read, then the responsible nun teaching children to read this language and thanks to the lovely Laura Ingalls books and Mark twin hey here a little of this knowledge Thank you for postage, greetings from Brazil
I love seeing photos of Laura and her family. I think Charles was a nice looking man , Laura looked like him and so did Grace, Mary and Carrie looked like Caroline. Almanzo was a very good looking man.
I think that Grace looked like Caroline and Carreie like Charles. Because of the hair and because in the books laura and carrie both were little "whirlwinds". But this is just my oppinion.
I think Laura actually favored her mom, Caroline, especially in that photo that was taken of her at around age 10. I can really see a resemblance to her mother there.
Thank you so much for making this video. Laura was my cousin, through her father Charles, and our mutual 7th Great Grandparents (John Ayer and Hannah Everard). Laura was through their son Thomas and I am through their son Nathaniel
+Jerome Michael Wilson - 12/22/2015. Hello. Very interesting. What I found most remarkable about the life of Laura I.W. is that, as a child, she traveled in covered wagons and before the end of her life, was a passenger on jet planes. Amazing, isn't it? My husband grew up in the same area as Eugene Orowitz, although he never met him. Feeling the positive Little House values (hard work, responsibility, honesty, family, etc.) were important, we made certain our two children saw the TV show and read the books. We, even, bought some bonnets and aprons, by mail, from the official souvenir shop. Anyway, wishing you health, joy and a Merry Christmas!
Right! Laura ,the true heroin lived an era that we won't ever live. She travelled in wagons as a kid and grew up and ended her life aboard planes, this is amazing! She had a wonderful and full life ,vivid with many memories and changes like the passing to another century. Great era!! She also discovered the phone, the radio and TV sets.
Lie Fat Shu I don't think it matters whether a person is muslim, christian, Hindu or worships tree frogs.😊 The program and her books stressed love of family and neighbor, care and concern for one another, the importance of taking responsibility for our own actions, integrity, honor, joy in simplicity, contentment with what you have, recognizing and appreciating who you have and standing up for right and acknowledging wrong. Not hiding it. She was spirited and had great humor and her kindness and strength shines in her photos. Would that everyone on this planet strove for those qualities. Hope you are having a good day, Lie fat shu.
At the beginning of this video that was a side shot of Rose not Laura. That's an insult to Laura, as she deserves our respect. Rose turned out to be a horrible jealous daughter.
Oh dear, I hope your your talking about the actor that played him because the real Almanzo passed away in the 40's! Just kidding, I'm sure your talking about the guy in the show :)

Are you okey dear?
I reread them, I think they’re more for adults then for kids. What do you think?
@@josefholzer2433 I agree that the last 2 books in the series were for the more mature readers

Es una serie que no podrá ser superada por su enseñanza fe valores
My great grandmother was born in 1870 and died in 1977, only ten years before I was born.
S C L-So she was at least 106 at the time she died?
107 years old
Im 47 and I still have my set of "Little House on the Prairie" books. My daughters have read them and we still watch the show together as well.
Almanzo & Laura lived long lives didn't they? and those rules for teachers, wow! Love her books

Laura really was the most beautiful of the sisters. Today, Dec.5th, is Rose's birthday. She was born on this date in 1886.
Laura AND Grace were the two prettiest.Grace was beautiful too. Mary and Carrie didn't inherit the pretty trait.
I think their mom Caroline was very pretty, too. In fact I think Laura looked a lot like her mom.
Hi how are you
In two of those pics Laura looks like Babe Ruth as a woman.
WOW !! Laura lived to be 90 years old just like my dad did.

This was a very good video. I wonder if Laura realized ,as a young girl, how much of an impact she would have on future generations.

I love that Laura dedicated an entire book to telling Almanzo's story from childhood. It's one of my favorite books in the series.
I love the music selection! I watched the video twice. The first time to see the images, the second time to listen to the music.
The music sounds like Bach.
To this day I still watch the episodes I love it
Thank you for sharing this,
I always love to read and watch little house series,
It teaches us how to be grateful in every situation,
VERY- VERY BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTE!!! GREETINGS FROM GREECE
I received The Little House on the Prairie books as a gift from my Aunt almost 2 decades ago. I loved all of them.. :)
I watched this with much interest. Very nice video.=)
Laura was my great great aunt. I'm the great grandson of her nephew, Leroy Ingalls.
have the whole set and love them. have read them over and over and some how find things I missed before.
Roger Richards i have the books too, plus the colorized version which is lovely.
Que dura y y bella vida la de Laura, que le insapiró todo su amor para escribir los libros que contaban de su familia, y, y todos los demás !!

Did anyone else pause the video about 3:15, and read the 1915 rules for a school teacher? WOW, talk about strict!
When I saw the 2nd picture of Almanzo Wilder as a young man, he looks like Paul Walker. R.I.P

very nicley done
The music reminds me of the silent films. Some captions would have been nice. However, I still enjoyed this.
It's sad that Laura had no living son to carry on the Ingalls name.
Rick Charles Yes, this is true.
its sad women cant carry on the family name

uh huh As Metallica says nothing else matters!

What a stupid post. Laura's maiden name was Ingalls. She married a Wilder, so her children would be Wilders.
Thought I was in church but good pics

Has anyone thought about putting the series on youtube? I'd think they'd be viewed all over the world. Orr would that be a HUGE copyright battle?
my daughter has the book and these pictures are very educational

Wow is nice
What does that have to do with anything?
He still is :)
What was incorrect? and the music was nice!
Such distracting, melodramatic organ music...
only one grandchild
I'm watching the episode where Amy makes doc baker and the ingalls help her fake her death so that her family comes to her birthday. Funny episode.
i used to have the set of those bookss
Tks!!!!
any pic of the family... of the 3 videos, it's the less interesting, sorry.
Oh that Zaldamo!
wanderlust2008a LOL
Electronic music and incorrect information do the classic works of Laura Ingalls Wilder no justice or service.

liked the pics, but the music was so earrrrrie! hated it.
Music: scary
Why does ot sound like music from the Addams family? Ugh.
What is with that awful music? I thought I was watching little gothic house on the prairie there for a minute.
