Thanks Vanessa, I just had a nice relaxing time watching you enjoying your plant babies. I’m in the UK as well and it’s a little nippy at the moment, so yes it d a good time for a cuppa and curl up on the sofa. I like watching longer videos that have a nice flow as yours does.
Hi, I'm new to this channel but I love it. I have watched a few of your videos while doing my make up, lying in bed at night, listening whilst doing the cooking in the evening...so the longer videos are great for that. I don't like having to constantly find another video to watch, I feel like I'm constantly having to grab my phone and scroll until something catches my eye. So the longer videos mean I can just give myself over to listening uninterrupted. And, yes, you do have a calming voice xx
Love the longer videos! Your voice is so pleasant, and the energy very relaxing and positive. I have been watching/listening whilst doing some stretches 🧘
Hi from California. Second video I’ve watched and enjoyed with your lovely soothing voice. While I watch I also do plant chores. Heads up Soil Scoop ✌️ ❤
Loved this video thank you. Long/short I'm glued. I also use Grow Tropicals soil, and Focus soil which is produced by Growth Technology. These are the best IMO. Happy planting 🪴🪴
@@alwaysthewildones update I don't use Focus soil anymore because the bags are always full of bugs and mildew. I only use Grow Tropical soil. In the future will try to make my own. Happy planting 😊😊
Hi there so glad you enjoyed. I like to put a layer of Leca balls for 2 reasons. The 1st is purely aesthetic and the 2nd so I can see at a glance whether there is water in the reservoir. Have a fab day 🪴💚✨
@alwaysthewildones thanks so much! I am still on the fence in regards to pon, but I have only tried my homemade version of PON. Maybe I will try some Lechusa instead. I love your accent! Have a blessed day
Hi Vanessa virtually new subbie here from London UK 🇬🇧 😀. Have been binge-watching your videos. Really enjoy your relaxed style and content😎 I love your clear vessels you use for pots and have since been looking out for potential clear glass 'pots' to use when I begin my mass repot soon [she says🙈]. I'm assuming you add Leca balls in the bottom to soak up any overspill when watering, also mimic a self watering pot for the glass vessels because they have no drainage holes (Leca is porous). How about a video on your method for anyone like me who wants to try it out? Can I ask also what was your small Alocasia living in (the one near the beginning of the video, where you moved it from a plastic cup to a glass jar. It looked like vurtually pure medium sized perlite mixed with a tiny amount of soil???) Love long videos too
Hi there and welcome. Thanks for your message so glad you are enjoying the videos. Will definitely do a more in-depth video on the glass vessels as I’m obsessed with them right now. My Alocasia Bambino was in an clear orchid pot with Lechuza Pon. Have a fab week 🪴💚✨
@@alwaysthewildones ahhh Lechuza Pon. Would you consider doing a video on its virtues versus Leca? Why those substrates over bought houseplant or home made mixes? Or is it just personal preference? Those glass vessels really are aesthetically pleasing to the eye! I've seen a few lately on UA-cam but you've definitely sealed the deal for me. Everywhere I go I'm no longer seeing the vessel as it was originally meant to be used, but how would it look with one of my plant babies growing in it - and it looks extra special with the pon in it! Now look what you've done, I'm obsessed too🙈😝
And the obsession begins 🤣🤣 I’m loving the Lechuza Pon it looks great and the plants I have in it are loving it. I did look into making my own mix but I don’t have the space to store it.
@@alwaysthewildones See you could share with us what made you venture over to using pon; where where you on your journey when you became curious, how did your first project go and is it still alive; what mistakes you made that we could avoid because it was costly in time and money and/or disappointment. For instance I was dissuaded from converting my young Monstera Thai Constellation to Leca. It would have been my first project but a plant friend said her experience was a costly one because she found her young MTC didn't do well at all🤷🏾♀️ I will try full Leca but now YOU have made me want to try the Leca at the bottom and Lechuza Pon on top because it looks amazing in the clear glass pot. But I'd love to know what's the bonus/virtue of doing either Leca or Lechuza Pon. Now look what you've done🤣🙈😝
@@alwaysthewildones PS how do you prevent algea forming, or isn't that an issue? I know it is with Leca (I've only just begun to fact find about Leca) but I have zero knowledge about Lechuza Pon (is there another pon???)
Hi from France, reaction while I 'm watching, why are the direction and side important for the first plant you repot? Why do you use clear pots without holes?
Hi there. The first plant was my Pastazanum which is a creeping plant so it is important for the plant to have space to grow along the soil. I like to use clear vessels so I can keep an eye on the roots. And lastly because there are no drainage holes I create a reservoir of water using leca balls so the glass vessels act as a self watering pot. Hope this helped 🪴💚✨

I love your videos. I am impressed with how well your plants survived. I am curious why you use lecca with the PON?
