2024 Iowa Shed Antler Season is under way and starting off HOT!!

  • A couple of big snowstorms and some bitter temperatures had us trapped inside early January. Now we have had some rain and above freezing temps to free up some antlers lost in the snow. Yes, Dillon now knows they are hedge apples not crab apples.

      @@jasonnester9514 It used to be better before EHD. These weren’t the biggest ones we find. So mainly 2-3 year olds. It’s a good south facing hillside though.

      @@3dhunting here in Ohio anymore if u can find 10-15 sheds all season u did well
      Every year less woods more shed hunters almost not worth it

    Very few dropped where I live.

      Iowa. We had a rough storm about a month ago that had them pretty concentrated.

      We have a basket full of them. They aren’t the biggest but certainly the hardest to find.

    Go back and watch your video at the 7:22 mark you turn the camera towards your dog and there is a shed directly in front of it. Probably the match to the one you had just found

      No it’s just a bottom that the deer stay out of wind. We had a ten day stretch of storms that probably had them congregating together this winter. We’ve got a couple other good farms that were the same way this year. When we found them they were all together.

      This year has been a good one early but I’m afraid our biggest ones died of EHD this fall. We haven’t found any of them yet.
