Well... yeah... But I'd still say that the people here would see and hear the difference between Swedish and Finnish. I mean... The difference *is* immense. "Hyvä yötä" and "godnatt" for example. And Icelandic is easier to detect with letters like "ó, ð, þ, í" and so on. Icelandic also has no "ä" though it has "ö". And all three Scandinavian countries (Norway, Denmark as well as Sweden) have the letter "å" while of these three only Sweden has the "ä" or "ö". Denmark and Norway have both the exact same alphabet with "Æ, æ, Ø, ø, Å, å". Hugs from Switzerland back.
Thank you! That's because I'm actually obsessed with these countries. Not only in Hetalia manner, also in chase of history, languages, culture, politics, connections and so on. I think I'll even life there one day... At the moment, am I learning Danish as well as Finnish. I adore both, they sound like the perfect languages to me. My progress in Danish is rather good, but Finnish is overly complicated for me. Beside some phrases is it almost impossible for me to really learn to talk. I should take classes in it. :)
