I programmed new key to VW without that extra box, just with laptop with Delphi Cars diagnostic software, you can use VCDS also, no need for any key-programming box with VAG keys
Yeah there are software that works pretty good on VAG keys, i have used VCDS but you need code to login and able to programmed keys. The Delphi Cars Diagnostic, haven’t yet, thanks for the info. The box that we used pre-programmed the key before it gets to program to the car, its just the procedure that the programmer has.
I have a key for VW jetta city 2007 , I transfer the chip on the original key the car start so this works, the only thing this new board comming with the new key is not working but the light will turn on as I press each button. Can I program it the Delphi C ars diagnostic
@@carsnkeysautomotive Hi Do you know why in the process of reading the pin from autel im508, I get an error on the control panel. My mom took her car to the neighbor that had a scan tool and the 2007 jetta remotes from dealer were working before but after the trunk stopped working .push unlock once and driver unlocks, push unlock twice all doors and trunk open.what key programer would change it back.the im608,tool max pro ,linsdor or auto pro pad or km100.i only have a ms919 and other diagnostic tools thats not for keys.i dont mind having extra tools in the shop.i mostly work on ford, hyundai ,mazda, toyota
what was the reason that the neighbor scanned the vehicle? did you ask if he did something? I don't think you can change a VW remote setting, it's easy to program a new one, program the new and see if it is something with the system or the remote it self. Remote can be bought separately. the IM608 is good, comes with diagnostic and key programming.
@Cars & Keys Automotive not sure my mom passed away and I haven't personally talked to the person.she just said the neighbor did something with tool and key buttons changed after.the brake booster needs to be changed ,transmission shifts weird at times.i had alot of projects I was messing with so didn't have time for it.i got the car now in my city .not sure exactly which neighbor too.doesnt the key tool max or other programmers have a feature to change what button controls what feature.seems like I seen it before on a device someone used

The Key blade start it does let you to do by OBD but push to start gives you the option but if the process fails, most likely need to do it on bench (remove cluster)
@@yemenstudio398 yeah that too, but maybe they just cut the key and couldn’t program the new key, thats why showing no key, I recommend doing on bench, specially when its push to start, I think that year the immo it’s decrypted.
Do you have to do the key adaption to vehicle before you try to add the remote, because I had the original and wanted to make a spare for a t5 transporter, but i went with cloning the chip with the key tool max, but when I go to do the remote control learning the hazard lights cycle and the im508 says the learning succeeded but it does not, if I program the original separately the remote learning works and im able to cycle, but when I use the xhorse key to start the vehicle, it does start but when i switch it off and go to test the remote of the original key that was able to learn, it somehow just stops working, is this because the adaption process was not done? Or if you know anything else please help? Thanks🙏
Hey, I don’t recommend to do cloning, specially with European vehicles, its better to use one of the same key as the original and program directly to the vehicle, but not a xhorse. I think it’ll be because its a cloned one that’s why it’s doing that.

You can do with IM608 as well, select control unit-immobilizer-and see what options gives you there- backup immo, (back up abs if it gives you option), very important in case you lost communication or gets erased-and after start backing up immo, if it gives you pin on screen, take picture, it will ask you to make dealer key and from there you almost done, just follow procedure to learn key, It might take some time to read and back up immo data, if it fails check your connections and then try it again
@@Cali415 VW 2000 through 2005 yes it might give you hard time to do AKL by obd. American key supply, key innovation or locksmith keyless, you’ll need a business license to be able to buy with them

Hello dear. May I know the price of this programmer? Autel im 608
You can get it between 3k and 4k depending the adapter you add to it, the programer is very handy!
