31:30 there's a 1999 OU playbook from when leach was there that you can find on the internet. Not modern per se but leach never changed anything anyway so you can still get the gist of the concepts as he taught them.
If I recall correctly, Norm Chow/BYU had a tag on this which put the strong side back on a Texas/follow route. That always intrigued me. /Yes, I know I’m commenting a lot. Is there an opportunity to get a graduate level degree on white cross and flood /sail? // These two concepts(three level/oblique stretches) have continued to intrigue me for decades now.

Awesome video - really enjoy your channel and analysis of different stuff. I coach HS and we’ve had success with a version of this play.. Got the idea of our version from Ohio State... We run a smash variation to the front side and instead BS2 (typically a Slot, not a TE) running a Cross, we run a middle read with him and a Post by BS1.. so, play sorta turns into Y-Cross (triangle read w/Smash and Cross) versus 1 Hi and Mills-ish versus 2 Hi where we play off of the Field Safety (1: Mid Read, 2: Post, 3: RB Check Swing). Thanks for sharing!!! Love the X and O videos.
years ago: (50lbs ago), I played/Coached 8 vs 8 Rec league ball.. standard O-line was just 3: Center and Two Guards.. sooo 1st Read, 2 Read... then.. RUN!!!! if the Pros have tough time tracking across the field.. maybe us amatuers shouldn't !! cheers J.T.
It’s been a while since I’ve studied this (from Bill Mountjoy). Is there ever any installation/situation where are the number one read is a pre-snap look/eliminated pre-snap?
On the first play you looked at, would it be safe to assume that a lot of current pro offenses would motion the Hback into a 2 x 2 and just run a traditional chair so that they can diagnose man v zone, or do you think they stay in split more often?
Would it be possible to discuss the pass protection the ties into the basic concept? You don’t have to discuss player action. Drop back protection thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Onward and upward…
