My favorite short passing concept in Madden! 😂 I've noticed that teams will often run 2 different concepts on the same play (dragon-spacing is one I see a lot). Maybe I missed it if you've done it already, but I think a video where you go over common combinations of concepts would be really cool.

Could you do a video on how they tag formations to specify receiver splits, locations, and whose on or off the ball. I’ve always wondered how teams like the saints run so many formations with different splits and how they communicate that.
It seems like many of the same play concepts appear in multiple teams play books. So what makes us call a coach/OC innovative? Is it just arriving at the same concepts from new looks, is it the sequencing of the plays, or is it when they call a certain play in down/distance/field position?

Tbh I haven't fully look into all your videos for it if you already did... the whole jet sweep playcall has been a strong theme the last couple of seasons on pretty much 70% of the NFL games and I might be bias to it since this was the very first play I run when I play college football in Mexico. Thanks for all the content you put on UA-cam, by far the best I have come across in years looking for football debunking
Interesting, I wonder if adding some sort of run fake adds anything? Maybe helps to stretch out the zones resulting in bigger windows? Or just dirties everything up. Easy to turn this type of play into an RPO, but does that add anything.... in short I don’t know would love to hear your thoughts
I think putting in a run fake would potentially bring the linebackers underneath the hitches. Maybe you could do a kind of "deep spacing" RPO thing where the hitches are at 8-10 yards
@@spiderwebb222 Thanks for the reply! To your point about linebackers coming underneath the routes, I have always encountered spacing routes ending up beyond linebacker depth. Therefore, a run fake might help to draw them up even further (especially if you are a run heavy team). the routes should end at about 6-7 yards and if the linebackers are any deeper than that I am going to run the ball not throw it.
JT, Great video love your channel. Idk if you will answer this could you go over basic RPOs and some of your favorite route combinations to use with them? Side question, what do you use to draw on your diagrams? Thanks keep it up!
If you're running spacing, would it still be effective against a Stack Front defense? I know the read for spacing changes against middle of the field closed Coverage, but my biggest worry is about the depth the linebackers are lined up. Any recommended solutions? Thanks for answering this question!
Hey JT how are position groups and formations tagged? Like what causes a WR to line up in the slot vs the outside for a formation? My Pats did this a lot where Edelman or Gronk could line up out wide or in the slot despite the formation being the same
What is the timing on your version (or the slugo version)? It feels like the double move takes long enough that the others end up sitting in one spot waiting for the QB to finish reading the first read and get to them. (I am assuming I am wrong on this but wanted to know why I was wrong)
I'm thinking that your designed play with the double moves is more of a long pass concept as opposed to the original quick pass concept that spacing is designed for. Maybe that's why it was hard to sell? Regardless, I'm sure that it would work!
It's my understanding that Mr Tom Landry was the first guy to use computers to analyze player speeds with respect to the passing game and had players timed to the step rather than actual yards. Do you have insight to the method?
It's a great play, but the protection. That might turn into just spacing, plus a bunch of well laid plans in a sack... with a baseball bat. Really though, that's a pretty slick play.

It feels totally unreal that people are able to come up with a concept where everything happens in a rythm. How?! :D
Do a Sam Darnold film breakdown. Dan Orlovski did a breakdown for spots all current QBs would be drafted at and said Darnold would be at 1. I would like to know if there is any truth to that statement

Just different names. Like an expanded vocab or lexicon.
Saints use sandwich names. EX. JJ for Jimmie Johns, Subway etc. Sean Payton tweeted it about a month ago
It’s incredible how a QB can completely manipulate what a zone defense will look like post snap by simply turning is head towards a part of the field.

It's all of the above I think. I think of it as a chef. Only so many ingredients, how can you make it your own with what you got?

Perhaps a tick slower...you're right.They're still 2, 3, etc. progression doesn't change though.
