    This is the first resource to identify the specific source of my pain (interosseous) where my ortho & PT drs are stumped. Thank you so much!

    This is a wonderful presentation on the SI Joint and its Dysfunction. Thank you so much Dr. Ebraheim for taking the time to educate the community about this and many other medical subjects in greater depth. Much as I enjoyed your presentation, I found that the "slides" moved too quickly. I often needed to pause to finish reading a slide, examine an anatomical rendering or to simply synthesize what I had learned before moving on. Could the video or slideshow speed be slower? Thank you again.

      Just go to settings of the video and select speed

    The movement of walking in which the legs rotate the ilium (pelvic) bones back and forth are the source of the gentle movement in the SI joints. Healthy SI joints are able to sustain these natural movements without pain. SI joints can become too tight or too lax when the ligaments and muscles of the pelvis, hips, and legs are underused or overused.

    Thank you for sharing about SI joint. However, most importantly is the solution. What is the solution?

    • @tomdick7670
      @tomdick7670 5 років тому +2

      Belinda Wong after trying all sorts of treatment my only solution was surgery. Especially in the UK people even proffessionals including spinal specialist do not realise how debilitating sacro iliac joint dysfunction can be. Instead they blame the problem on disc degenerative disease while this can be the very cause of spinal problems and in fact a problem with a disc can be the symptom od sI joint dysfunction.

    Do you have a video for exercises? I have been doing several stretching/exercises and one day there was a pop in the right side then the left side piriformis muscle cramped up. Then becaue of the exrcises the pain went away. I'm searching for more exercises to strengthen all of the muscles. gluteus medius and minimus, piriformis and psoas. thanx

      sportydiver I realise you commented 5 years ago but just in case you still have the problem stretching and exercise is not always the answer. If you are still interested to balance pelvis as long as there is no damage please let me know as it's only takes 5 mins a day

      It mostly sounds like an inflammatory issue , you could consider prolozone injection therapy .And using anti inflammatory supplements like circumin

    Great graphics, very clear. Horrendous music. You could do easily find a 5" track that would be soothing and appropriate, instead of putting a mindless 4-bar sequence on a loop.

    some people believe this joint can move.. these people are called physios, osteos and chiros and with manual hand therapy and exercises they are able to fix this problem :)

    • @tomdick7670
      @tomdick7670 5 років тому

      Andrea Franchini Unfortunately not all problems can be fixed by physios, Osteopaths and chiropractors. Most cases that have chronic sacroiliac joint disfunction the only solution is fusion.
