Hi.. I'm so happy (and thankful I ran across your videos, !your coloring is beautiful!. You record your tutorials perfectly! You show enough of each area slow enough that I can color along with you, but then speed it up at times. Which is fine with me. Plus I could just hit pause to catch up! And your music is annoying like so many people put on Theirs! LOL do I listen to that type of music daily? No. But it's not annoying g at all! I'm a newbie to adult coloring, and I only use colored pencils and sometimes gel pens. Haven't used markers or watercolor much either.. it sure is an art and not just for kids anymore! I'm learning slowly but surely, and colorists like you take all the credit for me getting better! So thanku again!

You have such a soft touch and are so delicate and patient colouring, I find it very relaxing again you demonstrate it's the artist, n always the pencils, that has a gift and talent by using cheap inexpensive pencils and yet can still colour so beautifully, thank you for sharing. I can't imagine what you could create with artist grade pencils, it would be magnificent, not to say your not already, your great! I'd just love to see what you could do with Prismacolor or Polychromos or something like that, I just think some one with your talent should have the best. Best wishes happy colouring!

Marco Raffines are not "cheap, inexpensive" pencils - maybe you've mistaken these?. I would actually rate these as a lower-end artist-grade pencil. They're oil-based, well-pigmented pencils for the price, around $20 for a 72-set. They can be a bit harder to blend than your top-of-the-line artist-grade pencils, but they CAN be blended with just a little extra work: use several very light layers, or Odorless Mineral Spirits (Gamsol, etc.), baby oil, Vaseline, or a blending pencil. Raffines are great for anyone on a tighter budget, beginners who don't want to spend a lot of money yet on their pencils but don't want to get discouraged by using truly "cheap" pencils, or for those who own one or more artist-grade pencil sets to save on some of their more expensive pencils, such as greens and browns. I love the Raffine/Renoir colors. They're quite pigmented. They don't have the thick cores like a lot of artist-grade pencils which I would guess, is how they sell them at such a low price.

amazing colouring skills in trying to blend using a set of coloured pencils that is known not to blend well. Any chance that you would step up to Marco Renoir or even better coloured pencils? I guess your colouring will look even more stunning.

Enviotonin85 All coloured pencils blend, it's down to how patient you wish to be with them.

I absolutely love your work ! Really I am a big fan of your coloring and I am trying to inspire from your work when I am doing mine =). I am actually using the same color pencils as you (Marco Raffine) and I am wondering which pencil sharpener are you using for them? I am using a very classical metallic one, because I found after trying several, that it was the best, but lots of the leads have broken with it, so I am thinking maybe my sharpener is not the good one to use for these pencils.
Thanks for sharing your talent with us =)

    • @OllyLoveArt

I use ordinary sharpener that I found in my house :D

I've come to the conclusion that pencils don't make up for lack of talent! When you are an artist, as this lady clearly is, it doesn't much matter what you use. If you're just an ordinary person, coloring in, Caran Dache pencils won't make your pictures anywhere near as good as this!
