@Jamie Winters Good time to do Red Sonja then. The feminists might like it, and trad fans would too. If Conan is done more like the books rather than comics, then he would seems much less degrading towards women. Especially if the story includes one of the women he loved like Valeria or Belet. There are strong women in some of his stories which would be suitable for today's sensitive audience. Thats just my opinion, and the SJWs can blow me.
"who else could have done this deed"?! "YOU, ERST WHY YOU SO SWIFTLY RUN FROM THE ROOM OF MARCITA"?! THIS STORY AND NARRATION IS ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE EVER HEARD
Texas canon for sure. In my opinion, Howard might have been a genius. The idea he wrote all these stories before the age of 30 is quite an achievement.
This story has nothing to do with continuing the slave trade as at the center point of the plot. There is a slave uprising from the natives, but The slave trade would have continued historically, anyway AT the historical time this Fictional Horror story takes place. And as a after thought, You would LOVE Queen of the Black Coast, but your just looking for things to grandstand about. Or god forbid you read a Solomon Kane story.
@@nowhereman6019yes, like Clark Ashton Smith, who I'm sure you would find something to find racist about, as you would do with everything. And good idea to upvote your own comment.
I enjoy anything and everything Robert E Howard has written.
im convinced everyone who has read his work would agree with you.
Thanks for sharing. Two Gun Bob's still my favorite author whether it's his horror, western or adventure tales.
One of REH's finest gothic horror tales. De Montour of Normandy would have made a terrific character for a series a la Solomon Kane.
I still come back to this one, I like the difference from the average eastern European setting.
Excellent story and narration
So rare to find stories set in Africa. Thanks for posting.
DeMontour would be a great name for a metal band.
Thank you for uploading this!
Dam good story! I could imagine this as a film.
Not only this story by REH. A lot of them could/should be made into a film.
@@RolandWieffering1 I would agree since I'm a big Conan fan. It kills me that they can't make Conan and other Hyboreans into movies nowadays.

@Jamie Winters Oh yeah, Frazetta is the best
He was King at the end of the first movie. Been waiting for Conan the King ever since.@Jamie Winters
Thanks!!

Dude you are a great narrator, always believe in what you do and always stay true to you
Very kind, but I can't take no credit for the narration, I found it online and downloaded it before the channel was deleted....
This story just goes to show, there is no being raised in Texas without developing a taste for uh latin food let's say.
And racism.

REH was 19 when he wrote Wolfshead. 19!
Well done
13 & sweetness!
So, the guy cursed by the werewolf gains redemption by putting down a native uprising and allowing the slave trade to continue.
Good job, Howard.

Ultraracism
Oh, you ain't seen nothing yet from the Weird Tales gang.
It'll age better than 'latinx' and adjacent belief systems will.

Get over your self this was written in the 1920s.
