Palaiochora is a small town in Chania regional unit, Greece. It is located 70 km south of Chania, on the southwest coast of Crete and occupies a small peninsula 400 m wide and 700 m long. The town is set along 11 km of coastline bordering the Libyan Sea.

Me and my parents have been to Paleochora many times. So many, in fact, that we consider Paleochora our home town in Crete (and in all of Greece, for that matter). I love it how Paleochora has retained its local everyday life while still having tourism. What's more is that it's so easy to go exlpore the rest of Crete with a rental car or a motorcycle.

I love this small town ! 😍🥇In the summer it’s full of people, but the atmosphere is good. One tip: of you intend to go there in the summer 🌞, make a reservation.
