Very professional work here.. you are my tutor really.. learning Inkscape was hard but thanks to you I now can create something out of nothing..excellent job
Wow! you are very talented Nick. A diagonal slice across the face might look kool.....But I suppose you'll have to rotate the ellipse and the selection rectangle that separates it as well, to accomplish that look.
Fair enough just think your work is great but sometimes we don’t print things off enough to really appreciate them. Either way great work and love the tutorials 😁
Its fab...i did the first part like upper part but iam unable to do it properly with the lower part bcoz if i select the rectangle from the eyes to the lips then some part of the head does not move and it looks bad...how do i go about with the lower half??
Had a few problems with this one. Hitting delete on the keyboard after inverting done something totally different. So I went to the edit menu and selected clear and it worked. But wasn’t perfect. I assume the command keys have changed slightly since you’ve made this video?
Hi, Thank you for your videos. They are great. Please, can you tell me how you increase size fonts of gimp menus? I couldn't find this option on Edit>Preferences. Thank you.
Hey Nick, great videos! They've been hugely helpful. Is there any chance you could potentially look at doing a Gimp Explained video series if you get the time?
Hi love the videos they are helping so much. I just had a question if you don't mind, can the area that is red fill be filled with an image for example cogs or clouds etc? How would you do it.
I think it would be good a tutorial of how to make a CV with inkscape or gimp, there are several videos about it with ilustrator but the designs are usually very similar and something different would not be wrong. Remember that you recreated the logo of xbox, I would like you to return that section with other brands.
Hey nick when i open this image in gimp in my pc the image looks stretched horizontally when compared to the one in this video. If that's the case for this image then for all images the dimensions will be not accurate. Can you suggest something for this
mine isn't working properly, i've tried multiple times following along, when i go to delete the top layer it shows part of the ellipse and gives a straight cut instead of a curve cut, the ellipse outline also disappears when i go to do that step
I can do this 2 slice, but would like to do the 3rd. slice with the eyes like you did,but can't get the red on the inside of 3rd. slice. Any chance you could show how you did it?
Nick, I'm trying to print for the first time, and I'm confused on what pixel by pixel I need on my workspace to have a good quality picture for a 4' X 8' board. Is there a formula that I need to use when printing to know I have enough space? Sorry I haven't went to school for any of this and I've just been fiddling with graphic design off and on for some years. Thanks in advance!
Hi I am very much benefited from your videos but I want to ask your attendee for a request so that I can make full use of your videos. I am Egyptian and I speak Arabic so I do not understand some details in the video. I would appreciate your presence to add the Arabic translation of your videos and thank you
Would it be possible to translate the channel videos? there are several channels in Spanish but not many good quality as yours referred to inkscape and gimp, please. PS: the translation is by the pricipiantes in the theme of design of other languages that they need to improve their English
Nick! How would I go about doing something like this? Github: github.com/jbactual/Project-Images/blob/master/Graphic%20Design/tutorial%20inspiration.jpg Not sure what type of gimp tutorial I should even look up.
You are talking very Fast with unnessary comments. just focus on the subject with clear instructions. Your active instructions lost. Remember not all with your native language and accent
Gimp is just a simple tool but creativity is everything :)
In awe at the simplistic yet concise delivery of that tutorial.. Thank you Nick...👏👏☘
Very professional work here.. you are my tutor really.. learning Inkscape was hard but thanks to you I now can create something out of nothing..excellent job
You are the best teacher please show more stuff from inkscape.
Hello Nick. I'd like to ask if you also use Photoshop/Illustrator or you always use GIMP/Inkscape for everything, even clients projects.
Wow! you are very talented Nick. A diagonal slice across the face might look kool.....But I suppose you'll have to rotate the ellipse and the selection rectangle that separates it as well, to accomplish that look.
You're a wizard sir. Awesome.
If you were to put together a collection of your work, as a kind of portfolio how would you go about it?
I'd find a nice WordPress theme and host it on my own website like I currently do :)
Fair enough just think your work is great but sometimes we don’t print things off enough to really appreciate them. Either way great work and love the tutorials 😁
You are the rich man in your creative ideas! 1000000 LIKE FOR U

I can do this 2 slice, but would like to do the 3rd. slice with the eyes like you did,but can't get the red on the inside of 3rd. slice. Any chance you could show how you did it?
after using the eclipse tool and i try and fill it or create new layer it fills the whole page, i followed correctly.
For some reason my background turns red and covers the other half of the image, im not sure what im doing wrong.
thanks

Great again. Now surprise. After watching this watch videoclip "AIR - How Does It Make You Feel ".
You're amazing. •´¯`•. Bravo! .•´¯`•
How nice it is that you do not explain how to open a file, how to download etc. That can drive me crazy.
Nick! How would I go about doing something like this?

Poor lady getting sliced and diced.
BTW Mac users can press fn+delete to delete selections.
You need to slow down a bit man.
