It’s always a good day when Aaron posts a video of him climbing the online Regulation-E VGC ladder in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and provides live commentary as he goes.
Aaron you’re the goat for featuring this team, much appreciated! KaSun is a good friend and even better battler and is very deserving of the spotlight you can offer !!
Best part i think about these late night uploads is you feel like the day is over and there's nothing cool left to watch, then BAM an over 1 hour banger of sick VGC matches.
That Ting-Lu lash out set reminded me of the Dusclops trick room/bulldoze & incineroar lash out team i ran back in early Sw/Sh. Fun times, lash out is a really fun move.
If you asked that QOTD a few weeks ago, I’d have said roaring moon or weezing but they’ve really picked up recently. I think Kingambit is still underrated in doubles and needs a bit more experimenting with
I LOVE FARIGIRAF! Great vids from Aaron as always. And I'm having so much fun seeing Lando-I around, recently, too. I think eventually the meta will shift a little more special... I hope. Can't wait to rent this one.
Qotd: Clodsire is really underrated right now. Can pretty much absorb Rapid Strikes attacks or tank them, tanks iron hands, can threaten flutter mane and scares Ogerpon and Rillaboom
Your daily reminder that back in Series 1 when Dozo ran Earthquake, Wave Crash, Order Up and Protect, a fairy Clodsire with Water Absorb holding an Air Balloon was literally untouchable for Dozo, and Clod even gets Haze. I love this beautiful blob of a Pokémon.
AOTD: One Pokemon I think is highly underrated is Krookodile. Being an Intimidate Mon with a WIDE moveset, it can cover almost everything in the meta right now.
QOTD: More than talking about underrated Pokémon, I feel like talking about underrated moves. We have tons of oppressive Physical attackers, but still we don't really make use of Breaking Swipe nearly as much. Yeah, Urshifu and Ogerpon do usually brush it off, but we barely have Fairy Pokémon on the format (we do find the occasional Fairy Tera Arcanine), but unless we get to a format where Zacian takes back the crown, Breaking Swipe will still be useful.
QOTD: I think Gastrodon could actually be quite strong with the right team. I got into this debate with a friend the other day, and it does have some bad match-ups like ogerpon I think that it has other match-ups in which it can provide a lot of benefit like into Urshifu or Landorus
QOTD: Trevenant! Grass/Ghost is a nice defensive typing in this meta (Rilla, Urshifu-R, Hands...), has good survivability with Sitrus + Harvest, and enables a lot of strong attackers with Forest's Curse (Tera Flying Tera Blast Lando, Eruption Torkoal, Okidogi...). Made it into Master and on my way to the top with this team: KYT3MW
I’ve been using Farigiraf since day 1, obviously I’ve changed my teams up occasionally but I always go back to the Giraffe, it always gives me the most success
AOTD: I’m not a ladder player but my brain tells me that koriadon, walking wake, and eruption typloshion seems like they’d work good together. Typhlo is my favorite Pokémon 🤭
I love Lando-I. Nasty plot, sheer force, and life orb boosting Sandsear Storm has cleared so many games for me XD QOTD I think Dondozo is back on top, Tera dragon Dozo has gotten me a new PB on showdown ladder, dude is insane.
QOTD: I thought farigiraf was very underrated, it’s usage only really picked up in reg E. I remember playing with it back in reg A and thought it would be all over the place but it fell off until now
Glad to know some of my theory crafting has been good. I had a VERY similar team idea last week. Different enough, but the mons were almost exactly the same.
qotd: obligated to say enamorus-t. that bulk and coverage are so good and it’s a great anti-tr mon, with overall good matchups into some meta comps when under a tr of its own
QOTD: Loaded dice Baxcalibur. It is incredibly strong especially if you can get a swords dance off. Pair it with a friend guard or screen user and it becomes really hard to knockout.
I remember the first time I used Grass Tera Miracle Seed Wood Hammer with Rillaboom, into an opposing Rillaboom, and it did like 60%. I was absolutely dumbfounded
I know u said in the first match the ogerpon player should know the taunt wont get follow me'd away... is that tru? I thought follow me would redirect even a grass type pokemon moves, no?
QOTD; In a single day, I with my Choice Scarf Charizard came upto rank 44 on showdown ladder, it's best partners are a wide guard user and a prankster tailwind setter😊
You're not climbing rank, you can't play on those maps on ranked, you either playing free battles with random or friends, or you're cheating. I repeat It's impossible to play on those maps. Game 5
Is it just me, or is Ogerpon just so unintersting design wise, and even more annoying given how ubiquitous it is. I'm starting to dislike it almost as much as I disliked Incineroar last generation.
fairy is the best neutral tera type basically nothing relevant hits it super effectively. tera grass loses to fire ogerpon which isn’t great. you also lose to tera blast flying landorus fairy also hard walls chiyu
@@Mvshotz chi yu has 13% usage and is the 11th most used pokemon in the format. not sure what you mean that its not relevant? it even got second place at LAIC

As. He. Goes.
This gives me life
Common cybertron W, posting right when I started feeling bored
Hell yeah

Also a friend of KaSun here and it’s so so cool to see u feature the team Aaron! Appreciate all the work u do man 😄

That Ting Lu Poison Tera cooked 🔥; what a cool set that player was running
Regarding the Spiky Shield - Unseen Fist interaction Aaron, Urshifu does not actually get chipped if you attack into it, it's that broken :')
came here to say this lol. urshifu wins that endgame every time
It's so good to see Farigiraf doing well, she's my favorite Pokémon of this generation.🥰
After catching a shiny Girafarig and wanting to eventually dive into VGC, this video couldn’t come at a better time

In game 1, why would Rillaboom be immune to follow me? It’s only rage powder that grass types ignore, right?
Due to Farigaraf’s ability Armour Tail.
I didn’t think armor tail blocked follow me bc it targets the user, not the opponent
Underrated mon: Charjabug. The battery boost is strong, and access to eerie impulse and string shot goes hard.
Rn I'm just pumped for the new DLC, AV Archadulon with stamina next to Friend Guard Maushold is going to be a fun set up I think may work.
I LOVE FARIGIRAF! Great vids from Aaron as always. And I'm having so much fun seeing Lando-I around, recently, too. I think eventually the meta will shift a little more special... I hope. Can't wait to rent this one.
I’ve barely seen Landorus-I this gen, nice to see people are building with it
Love to see Lando I. Andrew ding did well with it in LAIC too

Know him from locals and played in toronto actually. Nice guy. About to try this.

i love these battle videos! always learning something new from them! thanks Aaron!

Perfect timing as always😂🎉
AOTD: I’m not a ladder player but my brain tells me that koriadon, walking wake, and eruption typloshion seems like they’d work good together. Typhlo is my favorite Pokémon 🤭
Currently koraidon and walking wake are illegal but once they are legal that combo sounds lethal
@@mitchellhartigan8927 I thought so too but if I ever played ladder I’d be last rank 😂😂
I think Empoleon had a very unique defensive profile that allows it to deal with a lot of top threats
Been watching since Oras vgc. Glad you're still going strong Aaron
I love Lando-I. Nasty plot, sheer force, and life orb boosting Sandsear Storm has cleared so many games for me XD
QOTD I think Dondozo is back on top, Tera dragon Dozo has gotten me a new PB on showdown ladder, dude is insane.
Only thing I'm confused about is ursh having hp investment and sash I'm guessing maybe to survive certain double ups
Rillaboom does not ignore Follow Me. What you said was incorrect. Grass types can only ignore Rage Powder.
H-Goodra is pretty underrated rn
QOTD: I thought farigiraf was very underrated, it’s usage only really picked up in reg E. I remember playing with it back in reg A and thought it would be all over the place but it fell off until now

Damn another 1+ hour video, thanks Aaron😊
Literally was watching the James Baek Lando-I video when this popped up lol
I still have yet to use Farigiraf and was theorycrafting a few sets yesterday so this vid is great timing lol
qotd: obligated to say enamorus-t. that bulk and coverage are so good and it’s a great anti-tr mon, with overall good matchups into some meta comps when under a tr of its own
I WAS about to go to bed, but that can wait 80 minutes!
QOTD: Loaded dice Baxcalibur. It is incredibly strong especially if you can get a swords dance off. Pair it with a friend guard or screen user and it becomes really hard to knockout.
Good to see farigiraf back on the top!! Mon is a bit underrated soo good see it's getting it's spotlight!
I remember the first time I used Grass Tera Miracle Seed Wood Hammer with Rillaboom, into an opposing Rillaboom, and it did like 60%. I was absolutely dumbfounded
underratted pokemon....what about Zangooze? zangoose can learn belly drum and is a pretty bulky normal typ. and it is able to use the move power trip.
I know u said in the first match the ogerpon player should know the taunt wont get follow me'd away... is that tru? I thought follow me would redirect even a grass type pokemon moves, no?
bro what are the odds. Yesterday I was literally thinking of building a Lando-incarnate team. And here we are
The uploads are getting more and more frequent again yaayy
Vids have been fire lately
Poison tera tinglu shuts down every heatran variant and trades positively into flutter mane and rillaboom
Its time for him to come back
Aaron didn't put a "weaknesses" chapter, so I have to assume this team is perfect and has no weaknesses.
Godlike gameplay and explanation
the hehe was funny after seeing iron hands
Landorus and Enamorus my fav genies. Glad Landorus-I reached rank 1
55:42 hehe nice
I think Annihilape is crimminally underrated atm
Any good requests for a top tier battle music? I am kinda lost in that and don't like to swap it everytime hahha
why would rillabooms taunt ignore the Ogerpons Follow me in the first fight?
Yay KaSun! That dang giraffe is so annoying to play against 😂
i think Dondozo (+ tatsugiri) is still underrated, especially in best of one
Farigiraf is such a cute Pokémon!
Thanks 🎉
How can I play pokemon like Aaron does? I mean do I have to buy the game and then something else? How does it work?
Feature a Roaring Moon team soon please!
really enjoying these vids, havent played VGC but after watching your vids I wanna give it a go once I get switch online tomorrow
Rillaboom hilariously small
Great Tusk is very underrated right now imho.
QOTD: Ive tried messing around with choice scarf Meowscarrada and it seems decent
QOTD; In a single day, I with my Choice Scarf Charizard came upto rank 44 on showdown ladder, it's best partners are a wide guard user and a prankster tailwind setter😊
Sick hoodie Aaron
Doesn't unseen fist ignore spiky sheild?
Nice thumbnail
Can someone please explain after knocking out amoongus on turn 1 in game 2 why did the landorus not take any chip from its life orb?
sheer force it’s ability
QOTD: Palafin because I just miss him so much. :(
How would Rillaboon ignore follow me?
So many giraffes
qotd: rotom washinmachine and oven
Lando I yess
Medicham in trick room
Day 41 of requesting a Snorlax team! Love landerous-i!!!!!
Cool
im here
How does rillaboom ignore follow me?
Just rage powder all grass types do
Ok? But it’s not rage powder it’s ACTUAL follow me
Comment for the algorithm
Day 43 of requesting a Snorlax team! Let's gooooo
Day 42 of requesting a Snorlax team! Have fun!!!!

glad i dont see ting lu much i hate that pokemon lol its annoying to go against
Is it just me, or is Ogerpon just so unintersting design wise, and even more annoying given how ubiquitous it is. I'm starting to dislike it almost as much as I disliked Incineroar last generation.
As soon as I see the cliche Lando/Bundle/Boom I lose interest
Always the same teams with just slightly different alterations
@@charlied8284yea thats how competitive games work, people use good pokemon because they’re good. every competitive game ever will have a metagame.
Love the late night content Aaron on demon time 😈
Why is everyone going tera fairy on heatran instead of grass and not running tera blast?
fairy’s weaknesses are covered by heatrans moves?
@savyon122 what is poison covered by? A non stab earth power. Only thing grass doesn't cover is flying and covers natural threats to heatran
fairy is the best neutral tera type basically nothing relevant hits it super effectively. tera grass loses to fire ogerpon which isn’t great. you also lose to tera blast flying landorus
fairy also hard walls chiyu
@@itsukizy chi yu isn't relevant anymore. I do see what your saying with fire oger and Tera flying lando.
