I bought a SR2 three months ago, and this would've been more in my budget, but I'm glad I didn't fall for this. The only thing I regret not getting was a moving LCD in the jog wheels, but the output options, unlocking serato, and DVS support were bigger benefits to me, RGB pads/jogs too.
Why the tempo pitch is so short?😧 it could be a really useful controller, but when i set tempo and move 1mm and speed jump 1,3 bpm... thats suxx.... my problem is with my traktor kontrol s2 mk3.... 😞😔
Trying to figure out why I can't nudge the jog wheels to speed or slow down. Completely unresponsive. Thought I would downgrade from an RX2 and I'm now having second thoughts.
Being solely bus powered is a consideration for some who are connecting numerous other devices to their laptop, in those cases it's worth getting an externally powered USB hub to provide sufficient power for all the connected devices. However, the FLX6 is more than capable of running on bus power alone :)
@matteos2008 It's best to use speakers with any DJ gear. However, because it's an internal mode controller, both Serato and Rekordbox allow you to play the music from your laptop speakers.
I'm trying to decide which controller to buy, I like almost everything about the SR2 better, but those huge jog wheels are making my decision way harder than it should be lol.
had the same xD Still went for the flx6 just for the jogwheels, and tbh for the 4 channel and the jog cutter and just to see how the merge fx works, and so far i love the controller
@@leopold7269 Oh man, i littelry think this is the best controller to start, withh the ddj-400 i could mix for about 15 or 30 minutes, but this machine is one killer, litterly 2 hours of mixxing and even feel like im a dj xD Littlerly, the mixxes that drops idk if it comes from the controller, or just practice but man, even my neighbours think it is madness LOL
Absolutely, we'd recommend an RCA to XLR cable to connect the FLX6 to them. A cable like this: www.getinthemix.com/accessories/cables-connectors/stagg-stc060cmxm-2x-male-xlr-to-2x-rca-phono-twin-lead.htm
It's so funny to me how some people hate soooo hard on some features...just don't buy the thing then....that's why there's many different controllers/decks out there with something for everyone 🤔.
The DDJ-1000 and DDJ-800 are a step above this controller in terms of build and features, and as such command a higher price point. If you want a 4-channel controller and some unique features at about half the price of the 1000, the FLX6 is a great way to go. If 4-channels is not so important and you don't mind paying a bit extra, the DDJ-800 is a solid pick to get the club-standard feel feature set, and the standalone mixer functionality.
The 4 channels are meant for mixing the 4 decks in the DJ software. Something you cannot do on the DDJ-400 or easily do on the DDJ-SB3. This unit isn't meant for the professional gigging DJ who needs balanced outputs. It's for the beginner or hobbyist that might be using a DDJ-400 or SB3, but want to learn how to mix 4 decks on a 4 channel surface along with CDJ sized jog wheels, without spending $1200 or more to get there.
Pioneer took all their spare parts and made a cheap controller everything on that board is from a previous controller except the merge knob not a bad deal if your staying at home with it Serato software comes with it also 599 not bad.
I think they should have left that jog cutter off it. It’s made it seem tacky, the merge Fx ain’t such a bad idea if used sparingly, just the same as any FX really. But if they should have swapped that jog cutter out and done something else. It’s made it seem so toy like, especially when they’ve done well with 4 channels and big jogs. It could have been so much better without it.
Does anyone actually have one of these things? I broke my 1000 and it looks like this is the only option I can actually get my hands on. I would rather get a pair of 3000's and a mixer, but no one has anything in stock. I bought a 400 just so I could have something to use, but its a joke.
In my opinion if i could give it a price this one i would it put it maybe at 450 dolars 600 dolars is a bit too much in my opinión for that i would rather spend a bit more and buy the 800 is way better
Nice looking unit but I think I'll stick to my technics that's djing to me not all this expensive crap that you probably won't use. I have a basic controller I don't use half the stuff
I use technics, but I keep getting invited to do guest mixes on radio where I can’t log around 1210 and an S9, also there’s limited space so this maybe an option for on the go.
Why expensive? Two technics and a mixer are like four times the price of this unit and you only got two decks instead of 4. If something is expensive, it is vinyl setups, not controllers.

Agreed mate. I've always been a vinyl mainly dj. Moved onto DVS. And have just bought the s4 mk3 from traktor. Your right for the newbies its easier to learn but us "real" djs it can just free up our time with beat matching to get more creative. Throw samples and accapellas and whatnot. And now I can take 1000 tracks to a night instead of 50.

I have the flx6, have fun with it, but it’s not perfect of course. Until I make my choices, it’s fine. I know rekordbox well and now it allows me to discover Serato, which I also like a lot finally. Also it’s very light, and I can use it everywhere i want. But not sure it can be a final choice. Also if I break it, it’s not that bad. But for now it’s okay, it’s good plastic !!
