I higly and respectfully disagree, it depends of the situation... For example, in the second audition, the claps fits very well with the performance.
Why is no one talking about the dude who sang Starry Eyed!? Gives me chills every time along with the phenomenal guitar playing, especially when he turned it percussive. Absolutely smashing!

There was a lady that sang a cover of Sting's Fields of Gold one time on the Voice UK, many years ago now. She got no turns, but it remains to this day one of the most hauntingly beautiful things I've ever heard. Sometimes it's just criminal the the talent they let slip through their fingers on these shows.
I remember it well. Especially Tom's face when she began singing in Welsh.

I remember I saw a fanfiction about that, really weird...
It was dumb of her to pick Will. They always get tricked by the fact that he’s from the states and think he will help them “make it” when he’s useless. Her voice/style was all wrong for him. Ricky was a better fit musically.

The guy who sang The Reckoning Song, absolutely blew me away! I literally had to replay the clip because he is just that talented!
It's not well known because that's the voice Quebec and it's a distinct French speaking province in Canada.
These are the kinds of auditions I love. Sure, a lot of people have a wonderful voice, but they don't have anything that sets them apart. These young artists have something different, especially that guy from France with his Eminem cover

@@edel-ac I don't know. She was the only one to not turn her chair for her then she had hard critiques of her the entire show. I would have to go back and watch to give you a better answer. There was much about it on social media and you can still find many articles if you google it.

“Another brick in the wall” and “smells like teen spirit” are my two favorite auditions on any show of all time.
The last guy chose this song not to create a pleasing melody but to showcase his range in a very short time. Brilliant
The coach from the "Get Lucky" performance fell instantly in love with the girl or her voice. She was absolutely awesome. Like a fairy in a fantasy forest.

They do this because they need to see if the singer is actually competent, the singer could start good but then suck. The may want to turn quickly because the singer is good, but they don't because most of the time they don't want to risk it.
Funny i hate judges that turn fast ... It gives you absolute no benefit by turning fast, it gives you a lot of benefits by waiting.
I have seen too many turn after just a few lines or in cases just a few words, because the voice sounded special. Without making sure they can actualy sing. And they mainly never get near final. So that pretty much proves that waiting would have benefits. You could have used that slot on your team viser.
