I'm a 43 year old male and I watch the series with my daughter at least 3 times a year. Probably more if the weather is really bad and we're stuck in the house. The show primarily focused on girls but there are many males that genuinely like the way that the girls interacted with the other males on the show. I remember there was talk about a movie that was supposed to be released shortly after the series but we never got it Which was upsetting to us fans because Rikki at the end of the "Mako Mermaids" series mentions her friends coming to meet the mermaid pod and we never got to see that either I really often wonder if there was not a reboot but a reunion, how many of them would actually come back to do it all again?

Would love to see the return of H2O, loved watching it with my daughter. Though a season four might be out of the question, a new total reboot with new mermaids would be fantastic... If some of the origainal cast was to return as older mermaids it would be great to see them, but lets face it most of them have moved on now.
Idk... Cariba Heine starred in Mako Mermaids and both Phoebe Tonkin and Claire Holt make references to H2O quite regularly and see each other a lot so I don't think they've completely moved on
@@KaelynCav198finally someone else mentioned it. There were zero comments knowing about mako mermaids till I found this one lol, I don't think that series will ever top what h2o did though
I think college age or older for a mermaid show would be cool too. There’s already too many teenage shows out there and I’d be much more interested in their work life as adults.
My highschool life in 2012 is not complete without H2O: Just Add Water. The first time I heard the OST I hurriedly searched it on UA-cam back then and the lyric lingers in my memories up until today.
I would definitely watch a series with them as adults. Sure they "can't go outside" when they're teenagers but as adults I am pretty sure their powers would grow enough to prevent getting wet even by the minimal splash of water, using umbrellas properly and their own powers as an umbrella and waterproof protection with them is just good. And the thing is, this show was good for how feminist it was for its time, with different type of girls that weren't fighting over boys, that weren't pinning over them and losing themselves in the process (maybe Emma a bit but Emma did not really lose herself, did she?). I'd love to see them being adults and reuniting, maybe as Emma's career as a surfer did happen because she learned how to use her cryokinesis to prevent the touch of water onto her skin (it can easily be achieved through that power by dehydrating it when coming close to her skin) and she gets injured she comes back to find a very successful businesswoman Ricky (sorry I dont really remember what they did with Ricky in the spin off XD i don't think I watched it full because of airing complications here), and Cleo being a biologist and together defending Mako island, could connect with the Spin off in a way that they're the protectors and yadayadayada. There is a lot of potential, and while the spinoff sort of ruined heavily some of the lore that the original built, it still could work. I'd still pay to watch it. because I loe this show and yes Maybe I am biased because Ricky was my favorite, but I do like it. And I hope Zane is a great husband and father of their kids and has settled down and maybe even becomes a water creature. Heck it could get dark tones because aimed to an older audience where they face magical threats from the underworld since that's technically connected to the Ocean in most cultures. I dont know there's a lot of things to do with it
As much as I love H2O, I think I have to agree with her. Maybe a reboot wouldn’t work as much either I mean in the reboot they show us how they eventually spread apart and that’s the harsh reality of life. But I mean I feel like the story wouldn’t be as good, especially since production companies would be different as such and the story may be a bit switched.
Unfortunately there wont be a season 4 the actresses are in their 30s now the girl who plays cleo was 15 when they started filiming back in like 2005 / 2006 Emma actress was 16 and Rikki actress was 18 theyre a little old to bring it back so a reboot or reprise of the roles would only work them having kids of their own or a complete reboot with a whole new cast whether it be the same storyline or if it was like a prequel to when julia and miss chatham were mermaids
I would be so happy if here is a season 4, I just love to watch h2o.... but if there is going to be a reboot I prefer the same Emma, rikki and Cleo because they are so cool together ❤🥰 I really would be glad to see a season 4 coming out
I would love to see a season 4 of H2O, maybe seeing the girls more mature, dealing with new conflicts. In jobs, maybe with children and still having to hide their mermeid identity. Lots of love from BRAZIL!
Right! You can be an adult and STILL be a mermaid , a merman or whatever fantasy creature makes you feel special or unique. Adulthood doesn't have to be boring or dull
@@miriammi8294 I agree. And proof of that is The Originals. Is a series about vampires, witches and werewolves. And A Dicovery of Witches. In both series the characters are full grown adults dealing with problems such as mother/fatherhood, marriage, politcs etc. Etc.
That sounds so weird but H2O made me LOVE eating fish. I didn't like eating fish before but after that one episode where Emma was obsessed with eating fish I tried it a few more times and became obsessed as well. And still am hahah!
Thats kinda the opposite message i think.. there is too much fishing and when hunting Tuna, many dolphins and turtles find their deaths all because of men eagerness.. there are so many yummi things that doesnt include animals and we take already so much.. i am a mermaid and i never touch any sea creature
Almost 25 years old and I still remember watching this when I was a child. I rewatch the series at least 3 times in a year. Its weird to see the girls all grown up! Wish they would continue with h2o, best series out there!!!
I never think of any of the "flaws" that she mentions for longer than a second because the show is just so good with its atmosphere and meaning, a great example for young people, smart humor, truly the most beautiful faces and scenery as well. And it just works
I'm 28 and still watch this show ❤️ I definitely related to Cleo the most, and just like Cleo I definitely needed a Rikki in my life to take me out of my comfort zone. ❤️❤️ I love everything this show brought to my life!
I think that such a return after many years was great! My dream is that one day the fourth season would come out just like that after many years. Cleo, Emma, Rikki in adulthood, after marriage, with children, something beautiful.😍😍😍😍
I started watching the show with my brother in 2015 when I was 9 😂 I miss the show so much but I think I would love to see emma come back maybe they said make a movie or something because yeah
Hear me out, a reboot would be amazing. Like if there was a spin off, I know there was Mako, but that to ended. Which also made me mad. But if they came back with a reboot/spin off whatever you wanna call it, I think it should take place to where the girls are older and more professional; their secret is still a secret but their lives have changed. All of a sudden, there's a moment where they all rekindle and have to go back to their roots.
I love H2O ❤ always going to be my favorite show. I actually thought it might be nice if there is H2O reboot making rikki, emma, Bella and cleo all reunite again with Lewis, Zane, ash and will❤
I’d still watch it even if the original cast were kinda just the adult “advice givers” for new teenage merpeople. Like miss Chatham in the original. Just help guide them. Or even if it was just them with their own kids or something. Idk. It could work though.
My absolute favorite show growing up. I even made my own board game where advancements were made by answering ridiculous trivia questions lol. I'm 21 now and still rewatch it whenever I'm feeling nostalgic or need a pick-me-up. 💙🧡
Yo desde pequeño veía la serie, y ahora qué tengo 13 años, sigo viendo la serie. Me marcó, fue mi infancia, esa serie es tan mágica y alegre. Y te da un hermoso mensaje :)
I rewatch this show so much because like she said, it was so inspiring for young people, especially girls. Rikki was always my favorite character. I always identified with her, and I’d love to see another season! We want more! I was so happy when she came back for some of the reboot. It made it really special ❤️. Shows like this are what made me want to become an actor (although I haven’t really done anything yet 🤷♀️) anyway. Thank you Cariba and the cast of H2O for being such an inspiration!
i started watching H2o when i was like 12 (mind you, i'm french and i watched it on daylymotion and now on netflix). I'm 16 and i watch at least an episode (if not the whole serie) once a year. I might have watched it like 5-6 times now and i CAN'T get enough of it i sweaaaar ;_;. I'm obsessed with this show and would absolutely LOVE a season 4 and more, or even just a spin off
Rikki was my fave on the series. She's like me in a way, we're loners at times and when we're not thrilled about something, we don't hesitate to make it known
They don't know how this serie made a impact in my life, always when i go to beach i just swim like mermaids, the way that you swim under water,is the way i do when i swim.
I grew up around this show and now years later I just spent a couple thousand dollars on a h2o tail replica, and no I am not rich, I am just really dedicated.
I kind of understand what she's saying but like I would love a season four showing how they're life is as adults, or a next generation where they're kids also turn into mermaids, not like mako mermaids because that show just didn't exactly have the same vibe but like h20 next gen it would be so cool to see that
As much as I'd love a season 4, I understand her points. However I feel like a reboot movie would work where it Just acknowledges all the unanswered questions we all have like where the girls are now etc and I would LIVE for that
I think out of the 3 girls Rikki Cleo and Emma ( H2O names) (real names: Cariba Heine, phoebe Tonkin and Claire holt.) I think Cleo changed the most ( appearance wise)
I loved h20 so much. I rewatched almost all of it a few years ago. It was just such a great show. Some may perceive it as childish, but I don’t really. Who said adults couldn’t like mermaids? And it was just interesting. They did such a good job with that show. Some shows are boring and not very well produced, but H20 wasn’t one of those shows. I also loved Zoe 101 and Icarly. I know everyone’s trying to reboot old shows, and it’s getting kinda annoying bc most reboots suck. And they do kinda ruin the old show for me. It’s also hard to come up with new ideas for the same show and it run as smoothly or have the same vibe to it. So I wish people would stop trying to do reboots as much, and just come up with new stuff, but I still would love an H20 reboot. I find the idea of some shows getting a reboot super exciting. I didn’t grow up watching friends, so seeing a modern version of it would be cool to me, but they said no to it. I don’t blame them. I do agree that it would be weird and difficult to do an h2o reboot bc of them being adults, and I think they were running out of ideas on season 3. So it probably wouldn’t be as good, but idk, I feel like it could still be interesting. I’d love to see more H20 and I would have loved to see an adult version of Zoe 101, even though I think they’d have a hard time pulling that off without Dan. Too bad Jamie Lynn lied about it, I think, and with the stuff that’s happened, it’s been ruined for us. :( So disappointed. And I was excited when the iCarly reboot was gonna happen, even though I kinda felt like that show wasn’t meant to be rebooted or at least rebooted this soon. It ended like it needed to. But I still used to love the show so much, I was glad they were rebooting. But without Sam, it’s not the same. They probably shouldn’t have rebooted it. I feel like the new one doesn’t have the same vibe and the comedy isn’t that great. I don’t know bc I haven’t watched it yet. I’ve just seen bits and pieces off of UA-cam. But I’m already disappointed in what I’ve seen and how tacky (not that the original wasn’t), it seems. I know Dan was a bad man, or so it seems, and only wrote for kids, but I would have loved to have seen him write for adults. Too bad he’s got allegations against him. He came up with good stuff, and I feel like the reboot needed him in a way. But I think it’s for the best he isn’t involved. Sorry this was so long. I doubt anyone will read this. But I just wanted to tell everyone how I feel about these reboots and the shows. If anyone reads this and agrees, let me know. Xoxo
Rather than having a reboot,I feel like there should be a new show inspired by H20,except better. By better I mean better execution of a lot of concepts. As much as I like H20,it wasn't perfect and had issues that would be nice to see handled better in a new show. Also wouldn't hurt if was a bit more serialized and had more lore focus. While I agree in general about wanting new shows over reboots,I think one exception should be made:If the original show has a great concept, but the overall execution of it was bad,or if the show got bad overtime and strayed away from the original intent. There's a reason why I want reboots of RWBY,Miraculous Ladybug, and Winx Club
Here’s how the writers should do it since they are older now they should make a movie and not a show and in the movie maybe we see a flashback of the girls separating after they graduated it would make since because in mako mermaids rikki appearance she explained that they separated and went their own ways so that is perfect they can add that in the reboot and then maybe there is a monster that developed and it is Terrorizing people in the ocean and the girls have to come back together after so many years to fight this thing and details along the way maybe we will see Cleo and Lewis get married and then Zane and rikki run into each other after so many years and Zane apologizes for what he did and they end up back together and when the girls first see each other again they would be arguing and stuff about the past but they can work to build a friendship again and also maybe the writers could put that they had a big argument and that’s why they separated
They could make a season 4 not for kids but more for young adults, a bit like the serie "Siren", keeping the same characters and scenery but with an atmosphere more mature. The actors are not too old, look at the age of the actors of "Siren" or the actors of series like "Once Upon a Time". They are still all gorgeous and don't forget that fans also grew up and aged.
If a show cant work, tjey should do a 4 part movie that explains what the OG 3 and Lewis have been up to all this time leading to either a Cleo Lewis wedding or at least we see them possible with kids that have their moms powers and we see how all of that plays ouy with cameos from the natural born Mako mermaids!! I watch this and gossip girl every year. I just love mermaids. Been watching since i was 16 and i am 34 now!! I wonder what they all think of the new live action mermaid!
I love H2O just add water and Mako Mermaid and I'm 27 now. I remember watching H2O as a kid and it's certainly a show that I will keep watching and sharing with my kids because I'm a big kid at heart.
The only show I would book the TV for growing up :D I loved H2O. I recently rewatched it all, still loved it the same. I also watched the other series with the other girls, but it didn't have the same charm for me. But it was still good to me personally. I loved seeing Ricky's return in that :)
I really wish that they had a season 4 with Emma and Ash coming back, Rikki and Zane get back together, their families finds out the Mermaid secret and at the end the girls becomes normal girls again and go back to their normal lives once again.
Cariba Heine is the one who could be satisfied without the gamefame which phoebe & claire need.. its a fact. Ofcourse cariba wouldnt intend it like that, but hey thank whoever for having a heart & mentality❤😂
Yo tengo 26 años y realmente me encantaría ver una 4 temporada con el elenco original, sería interesante ver cómo es la vida de adulto de las sirenas y como llevan guardando el secreto durante todo ese tiempo.
I’m not asking for a season 4 but that would still be nice if there were. What I want is for someone to make a channel that explains the mysteries and questions about mako island and looks into the shows and sees it differently.

Well, nothing went well and ,right now no one knows if the new season is delayed or cancelled. It is reasonable to assume most of the cast would have returned, including a few H2o stars as well. One actress,Allie Bertram has since had 2 kids,so it i reasonable to assume she might have had a reduced role on a new season. The new season may still happen,but....well...who knows.Told my kids to prepare for the worst, hope for the best.
There was a movie released on nickelodeon but it was pretty much just episodes bunched together to make it over an hour long from season 1 and they did the same with season 2 and 3 which was very pointless since the episodes had already been aired as part of the seasons final 3/4 episodes
@@chrisnelmes3786 it has been confirmed by netflix mako mermaids was cancelled after season 3 aired back in 2016 so way before covid even entered peoples brains
"Older mermaids" ; but she still looks like a teen. She actually looks like she could be on set rn heading out to Mako.
I'm 24 years old, used to watch H20 as a kid, and since then I have re-watched the show THREE times because it is simply amazing. Honestly, it's my favourite TV show ever, haha!
Would love to see the return of H2O, loved watching it with my daughter. Though a season four might be out of the question, a new total reboot with new mermaids would be fantastic... If some of the origainal cast was to return as older mermaids it would be great to see them, but lets face it most of them have moved on now.
You should check out Mako Mermaids with her.
Believe me, they would move back if they're guaranteed a fair pay
I was 13/14 when the show came out and really loved it and still enjoying it at 27. I’d watch a reboot or sequel!
I think college age or older for a mermaid show would be cool too. There’s already too many teenage shows out there and I’d be much more interested in their work life as adults.
You're perfectly right! I firmly believe adults should have their escape fantasy world too, apart from the 50 shades of grey thing.
I would love a season 4, I watch the 3 seasons over and over with my daughter who grew up watching it. Love it more now than ever.
I dont know there's a lot of things to do with it
Wow you've got it all set up! Great job! You could easily write the script and send it over to the producers 😍
As much as I love H2O, I think I have to agree with her. Maybe a reboot wouldn’t work as much either I mean in the reboot they show us how they eventually spread apart and that’s the harsh reality of life. But I mean I feel like the story wouldn’t be as good, especially since production companies would be different as such and the story may be a bit switched.
.Also it would be hard to do as 2/3 of the main actresses have since moved to America
h2o came out when I was 2 but I watched it when I was 12 until now. I love the show. I am still hoping for a season 4. it's a great show
Unfortunately there wont be a season 4 the actresses are in their 30s now the girl who plays cleo was 15 when they started filiming back in like 2005 / 2006 Emma actress was 16 and Rikki actress was 18 theyre a little old to bring it back so a reboot or reprise of the roles would only work them having kids of their own or a complete reboot with a whole new cast whether it be the same storyline or if it was like a prequel to when julia and miss chatham were mermaids
@@AaronW-ww4ds isn't the actress who plays Maddy in Euphoria 32?
@@AaronW-ww4ds they can have a sequel of them as adults
Etc.
I've seen this show many times over. I'm 35 now and I'm currently rewatching it again. There's just something relaxing and comforting about it 😌
You're right. I'm going through a bad health condition and watching it makes me feel better, it calms my nervous system
That sounds so weird but H2O made me LOVE eating fish. I didn't like eating fish before but after that one episode where Emma was obsessed with eating fish I tried it a few more times and became obsessed as well. And still am hahah!
Lol same. Found out I have a mild shellfish allergy XD. Still trying to find a time when I can make or get Lobster Thermidor, it looked so good!
@@ErutaniaRose hahah yeah!
Me too omg I started to eat tuna so often and I still love it
People might judge me for this but I think sardines are good lol especially after that episode with Emma eating them
Thats kinda the opposite message i think.. there is too much fishing and when hunting Tuna, many dolphins and turtles find their deaths all because of men eagerness.. there are so many yummi things that doesnt include animals and we take already so much.. i am a mermaid and i never touch any sea creature
I’m 21 and I have just rewatched the entire series. I’d be so amazing if the series comes back on screen these days ✨
Rikki was always a character I loved so much! I rewatch this show all the time, if there was a season four I would totally watch it!!!
If H2O had a season 4 I would definitely watch it
Almost 25 years old and I still remember watching this when I was a child.
Her smile is still precious and so sweet 💖
I am currently watching it again after 10 years. I used to watch it when I was 11. Now I'm 21. I just loved it so much growing up 💗💗
she had to tell the truth her legs hurt lol
I think that such a return after many years was great! My dream is that one day the fourth season would come out just like that after many years. Cleo, Emma, Rikki in adulthood, after marriage, with children, something beautiful.😍😍😍😍
She is so genuiely nice and funny and natural! Love her,
She still looks amazing like she did back in 06-10, she was one of my early crushes as Rikki.
I started watching the show with my brother in 2015 when I was 9 😂 I miss the show so much but I think I would love to see emma come back maybe they said make a movie or something because yeah
4:42 For the actual question
Hear me out, a reboot would be amazing. Like if there was a spin off, I know there was Mako, but that to ended. Which also made me mad. But if they came back with a reboot/spin off whatever you wanna call it, I think it should take place to where the girls are older and more professional; their secret is still a secret but their lives have changed. All of a sudden, there's a moment where they all rekindle and have to go back to their roots.
cariba is such an amazing and gorgeous actress
I love H2O ❤ always going to be my favorite show. I actually thought it might be nice if there is H2O reboot making rikki, emma, Bella and cleo all reunite again with Lewis, Zane, ash and will❤
I’d still watch it even if the original cast were kinda just the adult “advice givers” for new teenage merpeople. Like miss Chatham in the original. Just help guide them. Or even if it was just them with their own kids or something. Idk. It could work though.
I wouldn't care less if the girls are older, even just a few episodes to give some closure to all the unanswered questions
My absolute favorite show growing up. I even made my own board game where advancements were made by answering ridiculous trivia questions lol. I'm 21 now and still rewatch it whenever I'm feeling nostalgic or need a pick-me-up. 💙🧡
I'm 35, and I just discovered H20. My favorite is Rikki cause she's a rebel and a skeptical friend like me.
I’m rewatching it right now as an adult! Brings back simpler times💙
I think if they was a season 4 it should be like showing them as adults now
I rewatch this show so much because like she said, it was so inspiring for young people, especially girls.
We need season 4 now it just makes sense
Like if you agree with me
I would love a season 4 w/ all 4 girls. It would really feel like it would come full circle.
i started watching H2o when i was like 12 (mind you, i'm french and i watched it on daylymotion and now on netflix). I'm 16 and i watch at least an episode (if not the whole serie) once a year. I might have watched it like 5-6 times now and i CAN'T get enough of it i sweaaaar ;_;. I'm obsessed with this show and would absolutely LOVE a season 4 and more, or even just a spin off
my two daughters & I discovered the show a few years ago! we've watched the series multiple times. we all love it!
i want them to do a small reboot about rikki's mom and we haven't really seen the Chadwick house at all
We saw it in a couple season 2 episodes. She lives in a trailer park with her dad.
I loved watching the show as a kid and still love watching it at 24 😆💙
I'm 29 and I'd watch season 4. Hehehehh
I grew up around this show and now years later I just spent a couple thousand dollars on a h2o tail replica, and no I am not rich, I am just really dedicated.
OMG I saw a tail replica get commmisioned on insta! Was that yours 😆
We need to start a competition we all want a reboot!
I kind of understand what she's saying but like I would love a season four showing how they're life is as adults, or a next generation where they're kids also turn into mermaids, not like mako mermaids because that show just didn't exactly have the same vibe but like h20 next gen it would be so cool to see that
I would watch a adult h2o just add water though :D
As much as I'd love a season 4, I understand her points. However I feel like a reboot movie would work where it Just acknowledges all the unanswered questions we all have like where the girls are now etc and I would LIVE for that
I think out of the 3 girls Rikki Cleo and Emma ( H2O names) (real names: Cariba Heine, phoebe Tonkin and Claire holt.) I think Cleo changed the most ( appearance wise)
I really need a 4 season 😔
Here’s how the writers should do it since they are older now they should make a movie and not a show and in the movie maybe we see a flashback of the girls separating after they graduated it would make since because in mako mermaids rikki appearance she explained that they separated and went their own ways so that is perfect they can add that in the reboot and then maybe there is a monster that developed and it is Terrorizing people in the ocean and the girls have to come back together after so many years to fight this thing and details along the way maybe we will see Cleo and Lewis get married and then Zane and rikki run into each other after so many years and Zane apologizes for what he did and they end up back together and when the girls first see each other again they would be arguing and stuff about the past but they can work to build a friendship again and also maybe the writers could put that they had a big argument and that’s why they separated
cariba’s a literal sweetheart
They could make a season 4 not for kids but more for young adults, a bit like the serie "Siren", keeping the same characters and scenery but with an atmosphere more mature. The actors are not too old, look at the age of the actors of "Siren" or the actors of series like "Once Upon a Time". They are still all gorgeous and don't forget that fans also grew up and aged.
This show is my summer staple:) every year
My nieces got me interested in the show. Now they’re 12 and 14.
I would watch it whether it’s good or not just for the love i have for this Show 🥺🥺
I love H2O just add water and Mako Mermaid and I'm 27 now. I remember watching H2O as a kid and it's certainly a show that I will keep watching and sharing with my kids because I'm a big kid at heart.
It's a shame Cariba didn't make an appearance in Vampire diaries or originals
That would be been fun
The only show I would book the TV for growing up :D
I loved H2O.
Plus they should meet at least some of the Mako Mermaids like Rikki did
H2O is so good I’m 17 and still watch it
I don't care how old I am will be I still rewatch this serious for billion of times😂 (I'm 19)
Imagine an adult version of H2O 😭 I want that so bad
Cariba Heine is the one who could be satisfied without the gamefame which phoebe & claire need.. its a fact. Ofcourse cariba wouldnt intend it like that, but hey thank whoever for having a heart & mentality❤😂
Yo tengo 26 años y realmente me encantaría ver una 4 temporada con el elenco original, sería interesante ver cómo es la vida de adulto de las sirenas y como llevan guardando el secreto durante todo ese tiempo.
i totally put a lot of effort on thinking how they wash their hands after going to the bathroom.
I’m not asking for a season 4 but that would still be nice if there were. What I want is for someone to make a channel that explains the mysteries and questions about mako island and looks into the shows and sees it differently.
I'm 32 and this is the perfect teen drama. Rikki and Lewis were my favorite characters. I relate with Rikki because I am a loner just like she was.
i started watching h2o again the other day and now this is on my recommended
I’ve been watching h20 since I was 6 so about 2010 and still watching it 😭
I'm 25 years old and I still love this show
I would love a reunion of the cast
Atleast a movie reunion with both shows h2O and Mako mermaids ❤
This was simply an iconic show and it deserves more recognition.
Comback movie? Pls? Show the 4 of you girls, many people are waiting for your comeback 🤧
no like this is a need to have a reboot every single child who watched it and has also grown up with them it would be perfect to have a reboot!!!!!!!!! trust we need one
