The Price Is Right is one of the most iconic shows ever on television. My Dad, who is now retired, watches the show every single day. And if I am over at my parents, I will watch it with Dad. And while I enjoy it today, it just isn't as good as years ago when Bob Barker was the host. And the hostesses today, while beautiful, still do not hold a candle to "Barker's Beauties", consisting of Dian Parkinson, Janice Pennington, and Holly Hallstrom. And while Drew Carey does an excellent job as the current host, he still is no Bob Barker. There is just something about Barker's warm demeanor and sense of humor that made the show very enjoyable. I remember that I would watch TPIR when I was a kid in the 1980s during the Summer when I was out of school. I always felt like it was a treat to watch the show every morning. And I always felt like that Bob Barker came across as America's favorite Uncle.
You know when you hear the “over most of these CBS stations” outro, it’s a classic! Also… that part with Leslie… 😂 Bob: “You are one powerful lady! What do you do?” Leslie: “I work at Kentucky Fried Chicken.”
Honestly my 1st viewing of professor price at 7:52 was from the Wii video game price is right decades where you get to play the mini games from the 1970's 1980's 1990's and 2000's;-)
@@conphotovlogs76 it was actually that very month, November 1977, when match game was moved to a morning time slot. Match Game's ratings took a considerable dive soon after this time slot change.
23:23 Leslie was busting out all over. Those little spaghetti straps holding everything together....preventing another OOPS! moment just a few months after Yolanda Bowsley! COME ON DOWN!
When this was aired on CBS daytime, I did not watch this episode because I was at California Primary School at 1125 Bainbridge Avenue in West Covina, CA with Cheryl Dickinson as teacher & Virginia Muller as coteacher.
Awesome episode! Good upload. Did you transfer the actual VTR 35mm? That Marciella is microcosm of that era. Hair, clothes, mannerisms. Hope you are well wherever you are.
@@BradTyler1984 The agent could still have a lot of power when it comes to fur coats, but I think once the estate is settled, then we may see them in reruns. However, some episodes could be skipped due to tape damage, music licensing not cleared, or something controversial today that was acceptable back then like a showcase or something.
@@graigmellon7874 I think the controversial episode you may be referring to is the showcase that dealt with Roman Slavery from 1984 (that’s a post-fur episode)
Shell Game... I am so glad that they did stop giving fur Coats 👏👏 I know Bob is an animal activist. Also a vegetarian and so am I😊 I hope I didn't offend anyone, What's not my intention
They stopped offering for a coach, because Bob Barker said he would leave the show if they didn’t get rid of them. They are beautiful, but it is total abnormal cruelty, the way they are raised. I just wonder what people do with these for coats.
The Offical Airdate of this edition ; November 21st 1977

If hearing Johnny Olson laugh doesn’t make you smile…
Then you're a grump! A voice can never be equaled.
@33:55
A fur coat and my favorite game as a child (Hurdles) Cool 😎 like the VTR slate at the beginning too. Thanks so much for sharing this with us.
I can see why Professor Price was only played twice, not very exciting.
I never saw this game and I'm glad that it didn't stick around.
Very awkward asking about generals and presidents
And also very very creepy😳
Yes it is the price is right not jeopardy lol questions about different than normal games they play glad it's gone
That professor game was kinda creepy, LOL
This is the 1st time I've seen this,, Pricing game🖐 I agree except for I say super creepy🤯
I don't like this game at all.
It would have been better with a live actor.
@@brendaberringer5104 They retired it after the second playing. Its record was 2-0.

Bob: “You are one powerful lady! What do you do?”
Leslie: “I work at Kentucky Fried Chicken.”
Please upload 193N, VTR 3-01-1977, airdate May 1977.
There ain't no parting gift plugs in this episode.
At 19:17, could see Johnny's face on the small square.
Too bad that today's TPIR doesn't use classic clips from past shows in their opening credits like today's Let's Make A Deal.
Do you like lets make a deal? I love the new ones how about you😊

GREAT SHOW ! WEDNESDAY 8/30/23 AUGUST 30, 2023
i’ve never seen Professor Price. I want to think that they pushed it off of a cliff.
44:17 - Stay tuned for "Match Game" starring Gene Rayburn next over most of these CBS stations!
hmmm match game must have changed time slots normally it was some show love of life guess it was a soap
@@conphotovlogs76 it was actually that very month, November 1977, when match game was moved to a morning time slot. Match Game's ratings took a considerable dive soon after this time slot change.
Danger Price is a tricky game.

I thought the show was rated G calling her down and listened to Bob talking,to her like that kind of upset me just a little
If you want to win a calr,.. Maybe, she should win a bra lol🤣
Yes the other Woman, was wearing a tube top😅
Car
Professor price went right to the chopping block after this show.

I am very glad you got to see it now😊 Incograduations
And congratulations sorry voice texting again
I was just a little baby when this episode aired. So if I did watch it live, I sure as Hell don't remember it. Lol
Eight is enough. We have a bumper crop here early on.
That professor game gave me nightmares
“Daddy Bob” 😂

@29:27, the cameraman's enjoying this
21:22 "It's time for the Family Feud!"
The Price is Right will begin season 51 in September.😀
1st-Susan (Danger Price) (L)
2nd-Deborah (Professor Price) (W)
3rd-Marcella (She'll Game) (W)
4th-Louise (1 Right Price) (W)
5th-Barbara (3 Strikes) (L)
6th-Leslie (Hurdles) (W)
(4 wins, 2 losses)
Fencing gear and a giant piano?
Somehow,I can't see Louise being interested in fencing lessons .
21:21 - The "Family Feud" theme song plays
I was waiting for Richard Dawson to pop up somewhere 😂
When arranging the shells, I wonder if Bob could feel which shell the ball was under.
Yes he could
I think so too it seemed like a very bouncy heavy Ball
I'm trying to find the episode where Bob was arranging the shells, and oops, you got a clear peek at where the ball was
This is why you will never see this in reruns.
"A fur coat!"
Some think it's a possibility after Bob passes away. Hopefully that doesn't happen anytime soon though.

The interns must have been doing contestant coordination for this episode.
70s women wow ftw
Yup, they were.
Many nice and slim-looking people, huh?
42:37 Sounds like someone was playing with the Big Wheel backstage.
That sounds familiar… 21:22… and 25:27.
The Price is Right had it first....Family Feud started in the summer of 1976 and a Hatfield vs McCoy style tune....this was it!

23:23 @ 0.25x
Bob Barker is creepy with his dirty remarks to women. He dont care the age or looks.
