Dang I just watched that movie "The Leisure Seeker" I thought it was a good but sad movie. My friend's parents had a 74 or a 75 Indian Winnebago like the one in the movie. I love the old school stuff like the 70's Ford truck, the Kraco stereo and the tachometer which didn't work in the motorhome. I even had a Tonka toy motorhome like that one in the movie. What made it sad for me was that my friend's parents had a motorhome like that one and her husband suffered from Alzheimer's and passed away a few years ago and she is still alive and lives across the freeway from me. I might tell her about this movie and see if she wants to watch it. Thanks for sharing the info about the movie !! 😊 The Tonka toy motorhome I had and my friend's parents motorhome had a bathroom to the right of the rear bed, the location in the motorhome in the movie for the bathroom looked like it was a food pantry or a closet, I didn't see a bathroom door. 🤔

Make the best of things. A convertible on the west coast helps with that. Lol. We only used 3/4 of a tank. Not bad. Plus rented the mustang GT for $25. Great deal. Lots of fun.
I'll have to watch that movie that you recommended, have ya'll seen RV with Robin Williams? It reminds me of my childhood friend's Dad who was always having RV mishaps like that but he never gave up on his RV camping. I think my friend's parents are the reason I love to camp, they got me hooked on it the first time I went camping in their travel trailer and tubed the Guadalupe River in New New Braunfels Texas when I was a kid.
Lol. I've had the sewer explode on me more than once. The neighbor's kid like puking out valves when it's at our house. Makes for a nasty surprise when I go to take off the cap. Love the RV movie. A fave is Lucy and the long trailer.

I tried it for about six months with Stevens Transport and just didn't like all of the responsibility and working almost 70 hours a week and only averaging about six or seven dollars an hour. My trucker brother and friends told me that I would love it since I like to camp but it just wasn't my cup of tea. It sounds like your truck needed to regen the def fluid or what ever it does with the emission control crap, I had the same thing happen to me when I was in training. I was in Flagstaff Arizona getting ready to go down a mountain and a red engine light came on and a message came up on the display that said "Engine Shut down in Progress". I pulled over and my trainer and I were on the phone with Peterbilt for at least an hour on how to let the truck regen which took another hour.
OMG I can't believe that's all you made. But we've heard that company sucks on pay when you're new. We try not to mention the company we're with, but we're very happy with the pay. Just finished up our first year and we're loving it.
The last time you were stuck was in Kingman when you got hit, right? I can't imagine why you didn't do a video of cruising the streets of Kingman!! (ROFL har de har har har LOL ) "On the right, here's the Dollar General..."

Yes. We actually ended spending that time in Vegas. But everything was closed. Nothing to see there.
