The Milwaukee Zoo Train

A trip around the Milwaukee Zoo by rail on July 22, 2012. We stopped in at the Zoo after spending Saturday at the Discover Live Steam Convention at the Milwaukee Light Engineering Society. I was disappointed they weren't running steam when we visited (the video would have been longer), but it had been too dry out to risk a fire. Thanks for Watching!.

The steam locomotives were built by Sandley Light Railway Equipment Works during the period from 1950 to 1980. I believe the diesels were also build by Sandley. As for their price, I've seen the diesels sell for 50-100k. The steam locomotives would sell for well over 100k
