Hi Sir Carlo, my Dad always told me about the movie apolcalypse now, lalo na pag madaanan namin ang Pagsanjan Rapids Hotel, sa laguna. Sometime that year they checked in at the hotel together with cast (Martin Sheen) and crew of the movie. Most of the war scene was shoot at pagsanjan laguna mountains. Fyi po.✌😊 my died two years ago but its ok, it made me smile, about this watch although i cant afford, maybe the new release.😊 Thank you for the video. It made me connect to my fathers memories.🙏🙏🙏
I just pulled out my 1976 6105-8110 Capt. Willard which I bought in 1977 on Okinawa. Looks like it is in pretty good shape as it has been sitting in the bottom of my jewelry box for the past 43 years. My ear drums did not allow me to dive anymore so I never went under water with it. The crystal is not as nice as this one and I had to replace the watchband (mine broke like this one). I decided not to wear it. Did not know it was anything special until I saw your video! Mine looks pretty close to the condition yours is in.
Get it stripped, inspected and serviced as soon as possible. Spencer Klein did a recent video - his friend got a similar NOS 70s Seiko and decided, against advice, to wear it and it seized after a week or so with major damage. The inspection will also tell if it's a ringer.
I have an original that I bought in ‘76. It wasn’t even famous at that time. It needs restoration now, and I’m looking for someone I trust to do that. That’s how I came across your video. Congratulations on finding yours.
This is a babamm vintage. Buying a #SEIKOdivers1976 apocalypse captain Willard.,is a serious deal because the price of this 1976 is (WASAKAN NG WALLET). You need a full fund to take home this good AF watch. Congratulations to you sir Carlo. it is worth to celebrate. Anyways... I'm using a vintage titan (square) glad this watch have a good quality machine.
Sir advice ko lng wear it & enjoy it.. Enjoying it & wearings it is the purpose of the watch.. You enjoyment is more precious & what matters.. d mo mababayaran yan priceless ang habang buhay kpa na eenjoy mo suotin at gamitin ang binili mong gamit khit anong mahal pa nyan.. ung enjoyment mo sir ang mas priceless.. just use it no matter kung magasgasan pa yan on your daily use, it add up more story sa watch pag ginagamit mo sir.. so don't baby it just use it like a regular watch & let other watch enthusiasts see you wearing it & adore your watch.. Ika nga eh "WE ONLY LIVE ONCE" & LIFE IS SHORT" so Enjoy mo lng sir.. I am happy for you.. God bless..
Hey recently bought one and had it serviced. Theres an inherent problem with all 6105 movements where the barrel arbor wears and the barrel ends up rubbing against the barrel plate. It’s generally sorted by jewelling the barrel arbor ports top and bottom. Find someone who knows what they’re doing
It looks retouched. You can find NOS boxes everywhere and people just put refurbs in them. I would bring it to a reputable watch dealer /repair shop to evaluate.
I agree look at the seven hundred grand Rolex Oyster cosmograph from early 70's on antiques roadshow, that is what new old stock looks like minimal ageing that is still present
@@janreyes7681 Relax friend. I've bought, sold and traded hundreds of dive watches. When it looks too good to be true, it usually is. I put the odds of this Willard being what it claims to be at about 5%.
Incredible that the lume has not patina'd. You can see some hazing on the inside of the crystal. I'd have it fully serviced, cleaned and calibrated. Maybe re-lumed too. Calling this a NOS watch is misleading as it is a very well cared for pre owned and worn watch. The strap would not have broken and been "sewn"? back together on an unworn watch. New Old Stock refers to an unworn, unopened piece in it's original sealed packaging. Also the box lining and rubber straps are not "leather"
Bro, that is really mind blown! 🤩 I really love watches and shoes and shirts too. Hahahahaha ang hirap naman mag english pero bagong idol na kita lods. Shout out po! 🥰😁😁
With that many years of existence of that watch, it would be nice to preserve it but allocate some time to wear it. Maybe just once or twice every 3 months I guess. Cause man, that kind of watch is also worth to use.
Have this Captain Willard limited edition watch ⌚ Great watch didn't come in that box Great video 📹 SEIKO FOR LIFE Great movement 8L35 movement unregulated Love the clean watch ⌚ dial no Prospex logo Whops wrong watch ⌚ have the 2020 version
Parang ang kati ng leather strap nya pero ang simple ng design and so iconic kaya ang simplicity nya at background makes it so unique, all in all pretty slick looking watch nice vid as always sir carlo waiting for the announcement of the phone giveaway hoping to win keep safe and God bless sir🙏 wear mo na lang sir for important events or meetings yung watch

Out of curiosity Rick did you get the watch restored mate
Oh! I'm soooo envious of you right now!
I'm a sucker for vintage! The oldest one that I have is a 1966 seikomatic never been serviced nor opened and still works just fine.
Congratulations. I can feel your happiness
Wow! You are very lucky to discover & get this watch. Hope I will find one like this particular watch soon ...
I've never seen one so clean!
Very nice. In case you decide to wear it I would suggest to get an aftermarket strap. The original one is probably brittle and might break. Enjoy it

I am so envious. My 6105 is beaten up. Ur 6105 is way cool.
Best way to honor a great watch is to wear it. Galing pala kay Ditoy, alaga yan for sure!

Hi Carlo, Just very curious. Are the handset polished? Are the indices polished or brushed? Thanks
I also love collecting 6105-8110.
I have one just like it which I bought in 1973. I love it
The only downside to a perfect vintage watch is you can't wear them! Definitely get it serviced. It's worth the cost on a piece that nice.
Great find Carlo - enjoy that beauty
The apocalypse name of the watch really suits it so well...💖💖💖
Congrats!
A classic Timepiece! Great haul

Wow! is it really original, as new old stock? unbelievable?! whats the story behind?
Hope to be as lucky as you in finding an NOS 6105. Cheers and Merry Christmas!
Wow. Please preserve it. It could be the only one in the world in that condition.
Hi, is this watch still available for sale? Thank you.
You Sir Carlo is the best Pinoy UA-camr
The oxidation is from the old style lume. The new lume is sealed so the particles can not blast off . It can be cleaned off
Congratulation carlo
Could take a look at the Seiko Flightmaster. Might be a tad small for your taste though.

Watch time 🤗zap Sir Carlo!
The lume is still pristine white which is unusual as it should have started to discolour
I guess given that this was a new old stock, it probably hasn't been exposed to light/sun that much that's why it didn't turn yellow.
You should definitely wear it
Accurate pa rin siya? Buti di nagkaproblem yung movement niya.
almost 5 decades of history. The watch is so classy and fine.
Very nice watch to add on your collection! 😍 They release a new watch in 2020 just look like that one sir carlo?
At 44 years that watch is spending it's life in a drawer.😆
It's just a homage to a Steeldive SD1970.
We're getting Macros!!
