- We set off on another fun trip visiting The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium... We visit some amazing places, ride fantastic roads, sample some good beer, and get very wet... O and have fun at a unexpected location,

Thoroughly enjoyed your video, especially your visit to Colditz Castle. I used to go with friends to East Germany in the 1980s to see and photograph the steam trains still running there. One place that we went to was Colditz and we got a photo of a steam hauled freight train crossing the river bridge. Since reunification a lot of money has been spent restoring the castle.

People don’t give Germany enough credit as a touring destination. It’s beautiful, the roads and road quality are amazing, cops are cool as long as you can demonstrate you know what you’re doing and don’t do anything dangerous, and speeding safely doesn’t count as dangerous, and don’t refer to them as ‘der Shweine’ (informal) has to be ‘Sie Shweine’ (formal).
Once again I agree with you it's a lovely clean calm place, it was our first time and deffo not the last, thanks for the German info....😀
Cant beat a couple of GS's touring Germany video, I done Colditz in one hit from the Amsterdam ferry, not recommended 😢 now the wife insists the days are only three hundred miles between hotels 😂 it would be nice to have the towns you pass through in a caption for reference, keep up the good work 👍😎🏴
Hi we try and keep the distance down to max 200 so we can stop to see places and my wife dosn't like the long days, I included the day by day map so it can be paused to see the route, its just so much work trying to get all the names sorted from a 9 day trip... thanks for watching appreciated

From my time living in the UK as an American, I will always remember Hull as the last place in the West, and one of the last places in the entire world I’d want to live. It is a destitute depressing slum of a sh-hole.

Hi, what about Sandy? How tall she is? Looks pretty much comfortable at the rear of GS.
Still thinking, GSA pillion part , much comfortable (foot pegs height wise )
Hi thank for watching, I think Sandy is around 5'-5" ish my wife is around 5'-6", we both have pillion foot pegs lowering kits on so the girls have more of a comfy ride, I dont think there is any difference between the standard GS and the GSA for the pillion peg dimension but dont quote me on it... all the best.

Is there much difference in price travelling from Newcastle or Hull?

@@adventuresontheroadandywiley Just wondered as P&O is now a highly undesirable company. I live within 50 miles of Dover, I suppose for us we have choice, DFDS, Irish Ferries or Eurotunnel. Of the three ferry companies DFDS offer the best service.

I now ride a Laverda 668 ghost, modified for long haul adventure and off-road

Ye I agree it does look low but he recons its standard...
Hi just spoke to Derek about his bike looking low, well it’s his low seat and he runs the suspension on the low setting 👍 hope this helps cheers Andy

Loved the video, (music was good for first 30 seconds) thinking of doing Europe tour next year. Buy 2nd hand bike in England 🏴 and go for it. Have relatives in Holland and want to do Eastern Europe also . Cheers 🇳🇿👍
