The spirit is sealed but the demon can still dwell in your soul and body. I also believed that Christians can not be possessed by demons. But I learned the opposite. You can make a test: when there is something in your life you have no control over it e.g. pornography or fear you need to be delivered.
I was demon possessed almost two decades ago. For as long as I can remember, I thought I believed in Jesus, but I believed in a lot of things. In actuality, I was a double-minded seeker. I loved God, but I also loved the world. I was a lukewarm Christian. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm - neither hot nor cold- I am about to spit you out of my mouth. Revelation 3:15-16 I believe God allowed me to be demon possessed, because although I called myself a Christian, and was going to church sporadically, I was also dabbling in the occult. (spirit guides, astrology, tarot cards, reiki, palm reading, automatic writing, etc..) A part of me thought it was innocent, but it was not. I wasn’t being obedient to God because I didn’t understand what that meant, and I had unrepentant sin in my life. One night, I actually felt a demon enter my body. At first I wasn’t afraid, but it quickly turned very dark. It wanted to destroy me! After eight torturous hours, I cried out, “Kill me God." That’s when Jesus Christ, the Light of the World, the Son of God, the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, not only saved me from my sin, but from the grips of Satan. After I was saved, I had a hunger for the Bible that I had never known. I understood God’s Word for the first time in my life, and it forever changed me. I was born again. Being demonically possessed was by far the most devastating trauma of my life, but I am eternally grateful to God for it, because it brought me to salvation and into a true and loving relationship with Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Savior. I became obsessed with “ghost” channels 3 years ago. My hall started to smell of death. I woke up to a black shadow male leaning over me an I was slapped in the face while asleep. I realized that I was in deep. I gave it up and all stopped. Stay away from this practice. ( The strange thing in all of this was that I began to enjoy these things happening to me).
I’ve always believed Born Again Christians CANNOT be demon possessed because we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. Demons are spiritually dead so they couldn’t indwell or live in a place made for a His living spirit.

There is a huge difference between having demons living in you or around you and being possessed. These theologians could careless to make a distinction because they don’t believe any of it. If you live in the Spirit and walk in the Spirit, you cannot be demon possessed, but what happens when you sin? When you are not living and walking in the Spirit? You are still Christian, still saved, but the evil spirit after wandering in the wilderness comes back to the house (house represents you, not the physical building), find it clean, goes and calls seven others and the person is now worse than he was before. So yes, when you are not in the Lord, if the Holy Spirit is not occupying His temple, your body, then it is free and clean for other spirits to enter. I had to ask for forgiveness for sins, repent, rededicate my body as the temple of the Holy Spirit and submit every member of my body as instrument of righteousness and I pray every day for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It has to be done daily. Everyday we have to ask the Lord for His help, for we do not fight against flesh and blood, but these spirits, who are waiting for an opening to gain access into our lives. I didn't know about all this and was thinking that those who believe in all this are just acting. Until I realized we do not fight against flesh and blood. Then I asked our Lord to show me what this means? Who are we fighting and with what? What is our weapon? Put on the full armor of God. Those who don't understand this should ask the Lord to reveal it to you, to give you understanding in this matter. Spiritual matters cannot be understood until your spiritual eyes are opened. How could you not talk about Acts 5:1-11 Ananias and Sapphira? I stand firm that Christians cannot be demon possessed. A lot of these "deliverance ministries" use that story to justify that Christians can have demons. I do not believe they Ananias and Sapphira were true Christians. That's my opinion. Everyone have blind spots in their characters that need healing that may not have been tending to yet... theyre doors left open for demons to have "rite of passage"... things like gossip can also be linked to PRIDE... the possession can become worse depending on if the gossip is driven by jealousy which is also linked to pride. So even if we are saved, some people have blind spots from lack of self awareness is why they exist.

It’s funny to me that all the current “Demon Slayers” (Alexander Pagani, Isaiah Saldivar, etc)… have to say “In Jesus’ name” like 100 times before the demons “come out”. You would think, with the power of Jesus’ name… once would be enough… like in the Bible. But no, these “deliverance ministries” have to say … “Come out in Jesus name, in Jesus name, come out, come out” fir several minutes before it “works.”
There is a man called Isaiah Saldivar whose ministry seems to be casting out demons from believers. He is quite popular online. Makes no sense to me as believers can't be indwelt by demons if the are already indwelt by the Holy Spirit
You say this as a matter of fact when nowhere in the Bible is this explicitly said. You infer from one or two passages about strong men in a house and scripture that speaks of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us that you can’t have two things at once. This in Bible School is a fallacy called A Priori or proof texting. This is done when you have no clear text but through experience and feeling start with a presumption and infer from text that belief. Bro, literally it’s 2022. If you need proof about the supernatural then there are tons of folks that can show and support. You choose to keep your mind closed. We still sin because of our inherent sin as our flesh longs to sin but in no way can those who truly have been called be possessed. Those who are were never His to begin with. Grace an Peace be with you. Just because the scripture does not speak more about demon possession (controlled, influenced), does not mean it did not happen more often than scripture records. To assume demon possession did not happen more often, is arrogant and prideful. We always need to look to scripture for the answer and not our own assumptions and understandings. Yahusha (Jesus) gave the apostles power over devils, demons and unclean spirits to be able to cast them out (Matthew 10:1, Matthew 10:8, Mark 6:7, Luke 9:1), as well as to believers (Mark 16:17, 9:38). Why would he do this if there was not an issue of demon possession (past and present), possibly a bigger issue than scripture records. If Yahusha (Jesus) felt a need to give the apostles and believers the authority over demons and unclean spirits, he did this for a reason.
I’ll be 100, I believe I was possessed today, I felt a twitch in my leg, and a looming in my mind and in my spirit. I suddenly felt the need to say the name of Jesus and even though I wanted to say his name I could not, even in my mind I could not. At this point I realized what had happened and it was like another spirit fought for me. Maybe Jesus released, who knows but i kinda got tripped out, this happened after having a night of drinking, smoking with a buddy at a Cabin after doing work building a gate. All that said, I was finally able to say the name of Jesus and suddenly was let go and I asked God for forgiveness because I new what had happened. I deal with Pornography and I smoke Pot, but very rarely drink. Almost never. But I know these strongholds or sins cause Demons to enter my vessel. I’m a believer and I Love the Lord but I can say I’ve been off his path. Has anyone else ever had anything like this occur?
Taylor, this is indeed an odd, overall story, mostly because; 1) this all happened within a day (?), and 2) that you think that you were possessed while also considering yourself a "believer". Being a "believer" is an odd thing; There are FOLLOWERS of Christ, (those who have a personal, committed relationship with Him as their Lord (utmost authority) and Savior. As for "believing", even the devil believes...he just doesn't allow Christ to have authority over himself. If you are covered by the blood of Christ, (saved), you cannot be "possessed", although you can be attacked and "OPPRESSSED". Big difference. If you haven't already, find a Bible believing church, faithfully involved yourself with them on a regular basis, and seek counseling from a pastor who can help keep you accountable in your walk with God. If you don't REFILL your life with the things of God, scripture teaches that the demon will return with seven other spirits with the victim being worse off than before. (Matthew 12:43-45)

2 Corithians 12:7 7 even though I have received such wonderful revelations from God. So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud. The Greek for messenger is "angelos" & translates to angel. Paul had a demon attached to his flesh. He wanted it removed. Thank God for His Grace because it is sufficient! Delivering Christians from demons in the Name of JESUS will be part of the next American revival!

All of the demonic activity and even the demonic Jesus encountered WAS old testament! So YES. There is a TON of accounts of OT demon possession and when Jesus went into different towns many would bring out their sick and demonically possessed. Mark 1:32 Luke 5:31-41 Luke 11:14 Etc. Etc.
A born again christian cannot be possessed by demons, but we still have a sinfull nature and may do ungodly things but a christian is indwelt by the Holy Spirit and is immue to demon possesion .
A Christian can be possessed by a demon and the answer is Jim Jones from the Guyana tragedy. He was born again at an Evangelical church the Methodist Church and later ordained as a Methodist minister and was responsible for over 900 murdered souls so you either accept him as a Christian or then you have to The boxed in between works because you're using his activities as being a non-Christian or you're going to admit that he was a possessed Christian. I disagree with the assumption that demon possession was extremely rare just because it is described in only a small section of the Bible. I think if it was new/rare they would have tried to describe or explain it more so people would understand what it was and why it was miraculous that Jesus had the power to cast them out. I think the concept was present in so many cultures and religions (some religious rituals even invite possession or channeling to happen, either in followers or in the shamans/spiritual leaders) that they didn’t have the need to explain it because the average person hearing the gospels would already know the information that we’re currently trying to understand. Most of the cultures/religions I have studied have/had a belief in evil/nefarious/trickster spiritual beings that can harm/attack, inhabit/possess/work through, and even kill living beings. You’re right that some people also made offerings and idols to try to appease some demons as protection instead of for power/spiritual gains in what we’d generally call worship.
I think these guys just spoke their bias and did not actually provide a service to the body through exegesis. Among historians they would be considered “mad” to suggest or render judgement that demon possession/oppression was rare during the time of Jesus. They assume the average listener has not studied history during the second temple period and that they will just interpret Gods word through their self centered prejudice.
Demons possess non-believers, and their purpose is to steal what is God, (humankind, that is made in God's image. To destroy, to kill, to deceive, that is their way to keep people away from God). The true believers in Christ, indeed, cannot be possessed by demons because the Holy Spirit dwells in them. As it is written in 1John 4:4.
The people who were possessed in the Bible did not yet know Jesus or receive the Holy Spirit. God dwells in us. The demons can not live in the same place as God. For instance Jesus delivered the demon possessed man and sent the fallen angels spirits into the pigs who were commanded to run off a cliff.

Jesus your Savior is recorded in other documents such as by the Historians of that day as well as the Jesus the Messiah of us all was well recorded by His enemies, the religious rulers of that day, also by the Roman Government. They recorded the Court trial after Jesus missing body, to investigate what had really happened. I’ve forgotten the name of the book, but it’s name was only 4 letters. But Jesus came and died for my sins so that I may be forgiven and given ever lasting life. If you truly know God, then you will experience his love & how it feels to have a relationship with him. I've personally witnessed God work miracles. My husband was an addict for 10+ yrs. He started praying about it and God broke his addiction literally overnight. I watched a little boy go from brain dead according to all the doctors and scans and his parents were about to have to pull the plug on him when they asked our church to stop and pray. He woke up on his own and made a full recovery. God is very real. I feel Him & I see Him working in my life everyday. I know what He has done for me personally as well as my family. I've watched him transform life. So you saying Jesus didn't exist, doesn't change anything. You making that comment literally means nothing. You are the one that will pay for your blasphemy. Not me! A Christian cannot be possessed by a demon. We can be oppressed but not possessed because we are sealed by the Spirit of God (Romans 8)
The spirit is sealed but the demon can still dwell in your soul and body. I also believed that Christians can not be possessed by demons. But I learned the opposite. You can make a test: when there is something in your life you have no control over it e.g. pornography or fear you need to be delivered.
Yes Christians can be demonized or influenced by demons. I’m a walking testimony of that! Jesus set me free!

I was demon possessed almost two decades ago.
For as long as I can remember, I thought I believed in Jesus, but I believed in a lot of things. In actuality, I was a double-minded seeker. I loved God, but I also loved the world. I was a lukewarm Christian.

I believe God allowed me to be demon possessed, because although I called myself a Christian, and was going to church sporadically, I was also dabbling in the occult. (spirit guides, astrology, tarot cards, reiki, palm reading, automatic writing, etc..) A part of me thought it was innocent, but it was not. I wasn’t being obedient to God because I didn’t understand what that meant, and I had unrepentant sin in my life.
One night, I actually felt a demon enter my body. At first I wasn’t afraid, but it quickly turned very dark. It wanted to destroy me! After eight torturous hours, I cried out, “Kill me God." That’s when Jesus Christ, the Light of the World, the Son of God, the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, not only saved me from my sin, but from the grips of Satan.
After I was saved, I had a hunger for the Bible that I had never known. I understood God’s Word for the first time in my life, and it forever changed me. I was born again.
Being demonically possessed was by far the most devastating trauma of my life, but I am eternally grateful to God for it, because it brought me to salvation and into a true and loving relationship with Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Savior.

I became obsessed with “ghost” channels 3 years ago. My hall started to smell of death. I woke up to a black shadow male leaning over me an I was slapped in the face while asleep. I realized that I was in deep. I gave it up and all stopped. Stay away from this practice. ( The strange thing in all of this was that I began to enjoy these things happening to me).

I’ve always believed Born Again Christians CANNOT be demon possessed because we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. Demons are spiritually dead so they couldn’t indwell or live in a place made for a His living spirit.

There is a huge difference between having demons living in you or around you and being possessed. These theologians could careless to make a distinction because they don’t believe any of it. They chalk up all demon relations with people as the same (straw man) debate that made up premise with scripture and scoff at all who would infer otherwise. They want to be known as great minds of the Faith but have no idea of it’s power. They slander whatever they do not experience for them selves. These people are blemishes at your feast. If you live in the Spirit and walk in the Spirit, you cannot be demon possessed, but what happens when you sin? When you are not living and walking in the Spirit? You are still Christian, still saved, but the evil spirit after wandering in the wilderness comes back to the house (house represents you, not the physical building), find it clean, goes and calls seven others and the person is now worse than he was before. So yes, when you are not in the Lord, if the Holy Spirit is not occupying His temple, your body, then it is free and clean for other spirits to enter.
I had to ask for forgiveness for sins, repent, rededicate my body as the temple of the Holy Spirit and submit every member of my body as instrument of righteousness and I pray every day for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It has to be done daily. Everyday we have to ask the Lord for His help, for we do not fight against flesh and blood, but these spirits, who are waiting for an opening to gain access into our lives.
I didn't know about all this and was thinking that those who believe in all this are just acting. Until I realized we do not fight against flesh and blood. Then I asked our Lord to show me what this means? Who are we fighting and with what? What is our weapon?

Many will list the works they did. They prophesied, drove out demons and perform many miracles in the “name” of Jesus. We trusted you to saved us Jesus!.” But instead they listed they're “works” or rituals or keeping the law can not save a single one of us because, “No one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law: rather, through the law we become conscious of sins”. How could you not talk about Acts 5:1-11 Ananias and Sapphira? I stand firm that Christians cannot be demon possessed. A lot of these "deliverance ministries" use that story to justify that Christians can have demons. I do not believe they Ananias and Sapphira were true Christians. That's my opinion. Everyone have blind spots in their characters that need healing that may not have been tending to yet... theyre doors left open for demons to have "rite of passage"... things like gossip can also be linked to PRIDE... the possession can become worse depending on if the gossip is driven by jealousy which is also linked to pride. So even if we are saved, some people have blind spots from lack of self awareness is why they exist.

It’s funny to me that all the current “Demon Slayers” (Alexander Pagani, Isaiah Saldivar, etc)… have to say “In Jesus’ name” like 100 times before the demons “come out”. You would think, with the power of Jesus’ name… once would be enough… like in the Bible. But no, these “deliverance ministries” have to say … “Come out in Jesus name, in Jesus name, come out, come out” fir several minutes before it “works.”

There is a man called Isaiah Saldivar whose ministry seems to be casting out demons from believers. He is quite popular online. Makes no sense to me as believers can't be indwelt by demons if the are already indwelt by the Holy Spirit
You say this as a matter of fact when nowhere in the Bible is this explicitly said. You infer from one or two passages about strong men in a house and scripture that speaks of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us that you can’t have two things at once. This in Bible School is a fallacy called A Priori or proof texting. This is done when you have no clear text but through experience and feeling start with a presumption and infer from text that belief. Bro, literally it’s 2022. If you need proof about the supernatural then there are tons of folks that can show and support. You choose to keep your mind closed. Your fear like many is if you open up to this supernatural realm, it will expose how little faith in God you truly have.

Grace an Peace be with you. Just because the scripture does not speak more about demon possession (controlled, influenced), does not mean it did not happen more often than scripture records. To assume demon possession did not happen more often, is arrogant and prideful. We always need to look to scripture for the answer and not our own assumptions and understandings. Yahusha (Jesus) gave the apostles power over devils, demons and unclean spirits to be able to cast them out (Matthew 10:1, Matthew 10:8, Mark 6:7, Luke 9:1), as well as to believers (Mark 16:17, 9:38). Why would he do this if there was not an issue of demon possession (past and present), possibly a bigger issue than scripture records. If Yahusha (Jesus) felt a need to give the apostles and believers the authority over demons and unclean spirits, he did this for a reason.

I’ll be 100, I believe I was possessed today, I felt a twitch in my leg, and a looming in my mind and in my spirit.
I suddenly felt the need to say the name of Jesus and even though I wanted to say his name I could not, even in my mind I could not. At this point I realized what had happened and it was like another spirit fought for me. Maybe Jesus released, who knows but i kinda got tripped out, this happened after having a night of drinking, smoking with a buddy at a Cabin after doing work building a gate. All that said, I was finally able to say the name of Jesus and suddenly was let go and I asked God for forgiveness because I new what had happened. I deal with Pornography and I smoke Pot, but very rarely drink. Almost never. But I know these strongholds or sins cause Demons to enter my vessel. I’m a believer and I Love the Lord but I can say I’ve been off his path.

Taylor, this is indeed an odd, overall story, mostly because; 1) this all happened within a day (?), and 2) that you think that you were possessed while also considering yourself a "believer". Being a "believer" is an odd thing; There are FOLLOWERS of Christ, (those who have a personal, committed relationship with Him as their Lord (utmost authority) and Savior. As for "believing", even the devil believes...he just doesn't allow Christ to have authority over himself. If you are covered by the blood of Christ, (saved), you cannot be "possessed", although you can be attacked and "OPPRESSSED". Big difference. If you haven't already, find a Bible believing church, faithfully involved yourself with them on a regular basis, and seek counseling from a pastor who can help keep you accountable in your walk with God. If you don't REFILL your life with the things of God, scripture teaches that the demon will return with seven other spirits with the victim being worse off than before. (Matthew 12:43-45)

The Greek for messenger is "angelos" & translates to angel. Paul had a demon attached to his flesh. He wanted it removed. Thank God for His Grace because it is sufficient! Delivering Christians from demons in the Name of JESUS will be part of the next American revival!

A Christian can be possessed by a demon and the answer is Jim Jones from the Guyana tragedy. He was born again at an Evangelical church the Methodist Church and later ordained as a Methodist minister and was responsible for over 900 murdered souls so you either accept him as a Christian or then you have to The boxed in between works because you're using his activities as being a non-Christian or you're going to admit that he was a possessed Christian. I disagree with the assumption that demon possession was extremely rare just because it is described in only a small section of the Bible. I think if it was new/rare they would have tried to describe or explain it more so people would understand what it was and why it was miraculous that Jesus had the power to cast them out. I think the concept was present in so many cultures and religions (some religious rituals even invite possession or channeling to happen, either in followers or in the shamans/spiritual leaders) that they didn’t have the need to explain it because the average person hearing the gospels would already know the information that we’re currently trying to understand. Most of the cultures/religions I have studied have/had a belief in evil/nefarious/trickster spiritual beings that can harm/attack, inhabit/possess/work through, and even kill living beings. You’re right that some people also made offerings and idols to try to appease some demons as protection instead of for power/spiritual gains in what we’d generally call worship.
I think these guys just spoke their bias and did not actually provide a service to the body through exegesis. Among historians they would be considered “mad” to suggest or render judgement that demon possession/oppression was rare during the time of Jesus. They assume the average listener has not studied history during the second temple period and that they will just interpret Gods word through their self centered prejudice.
Demons possess non-believers, and their purpose is to steal what is God, (humankind, that is made in God's image. To destroy, to kill, to deceive, that is their way to keep people away from God). The true believers in Christ, indeed, cannot be possessed by demons because the Holy Spirit dwells in them. As it is written in 1John 4:4.

The people who were possessed in the Bible did not yet know Jesus or receive the Holy Spirit.
God dwells in us. The demons can not live in the same place as God. For instance Jesus delivered the demon possessed man and sent the fallen angels spirits into the pigs who were commanded to run off a cliff.

Jesus your Savior is recorded in other documents such as by the Historians of that day as well as the Jesus the Messiah of us all was well recorded by His enemies, the religious rulers of that day, also by the Roman Government. They recorded the Court trial after Jesus missing body, to investigate what had really happened. I’ve forgotten the name of the book, but it’s name was only 4 letters. @Krista Thompson History have proven that Jesus did exist and most of the people spoken about in the bible have been proven to have existed as well. And we are all born sinners. But Jesus came and died for my sins so that I may be forgiven and given ever lasting life. If you truly know God, then you will experience his love & how it feels to have a relationship with him. I've personally witnessed God work miracles. My husband was an addict for 10+ yrs. He started praying about it and God broke his addiction literally overnight. I watched a little boy go from brain dead according to all the doctors and scans and his parents were about to have to pull the plug on him when they asked our church to stop and pray. He woke up on his own and made a full recovery. God is very real. I feel Him & I see Him working in my life everyday. I know what He has done for me personally as well as my family. I've watched him transform life. So you saying Jesus didn't exist, doesn't change anything. You making that comment literally means nothing. You are the one that will pay for your blasphemy. Not me! I pray that you open your eyes and heart to the truth and come to know Jesus Christ before its too late. 🙏
