You guys made valid points about HMack here. This is one of my favorite projects of his, but y’all are right, bar-wise, you’ve seen better from Harry. He had a specific mission for this project, which he achieved, but I’ve come to realize that this video might be more for the hip hop nerds rather than the best exhibition of his God given talent. Either way, thank you both for taking the time to react to it. I know some artists’ fanbases can be a lot to handle, but they still family. I just hope we as a collective haven’t been to much of an inconvenience for y’all. We just love us some HMack and we just love y’all watching him with us, as the both of you are too fun to watch 😀. Anyway, hopefully the next videos we recommended to you will be more to y’alls taste. Thank you, fellas!

This was a project where he identified the original breakbeat from heavily sampled breaks. Then in each freestyle he went on to pay homage to a lot of the MC’s and groups who used that particular breakbeat in some of the most iconic hip hop songs. This is one of Harry’s most misunderstood works. Shout out to you guys for catching that!
The classic Amen breaks, yes, Jungle and DNB and the purposeful doubling of the Tempo of Hip Hop and RNB indeed has been spawned into these Genres. Breakneck Beats ( ua-cam.com/video/OJRMwv-8XG8/v-deo.htmlsi=Q9UbP913fwW3TYVT ) took this concept, added chaos, and brought it to the nth degree. Great knowledge!
I disagree, this is 100% A+ work even for Harry.... its packed full of references and homage, and endless cadences. also some of the fastest sustained double time he's ever done
There actually is a couple videos of Harry Freestyling while playing the drums, the clips are harder to find but he has done streams where he either finger drums or is actually drumming live while freestying. Its crazy
Loving the reactions to h mack guys. This is one of my favorites. The man is a genius. Just saw him live in Dublin the other week. Even more amazing in person if that's possible! keep up the great work guys.
Yall gotta do his Hometown Stories video. As artists yourselves, his storytelling about how he was on his grind with his homies is amazing. Looking more to more H Mack and Coast Contra 🤝 yall channel and music is 🔥🔥
The way I understand it, when Harry released this video, he put out kind of a challenge that went something like this: I challenge anyone to find EVERY reference to old school hip hop in this video. Many of the references are to songs that have sampled parts of the beats he used. So I'm guessing that the reason you weren't super impressed with the raps, is the same reason I didn't like it at first: A lot of the references went over my head because I didn't know that the beats he uses are among the most sampled beats in the history of music. I've watched a LOT of reactions to this, and so far, nobody has "aced" Harry's challenge 😉
1 thing reactors don't seem to do is read the description on Jarry'a videos. He gives details about the videos and other helpful information. Love your channel Fire reactions 🔥🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
Doc Ellis was a pitcher on the Pirates. He pitched a no hitter while on LSD. Before my time, but there's a UA-cam cartoon that explains the story. He hit like 3 batters, had like 7 walks but still pitched the no-no. MLB has the game banned, so unless you saw it live, you can't see it. The youtube cartoon is hilarious.
Yeah. This is a tribute freestyle so Harry isn't necessarily trying to have all of these clever double and triple entendres. He wants people to pick up on the references to the older artists and their work. This is still A+ IMO!
Just here to like and comment, don't have time to watch now. I'll check this out on Monday, but I know it'll be 🔥🔥🔥 as I've watched the original a hundred times. Hands down one of my favourites from HM, if not 🥇

Great reaction. You guys should check out Harry's Mount Rushmore of Hip-Hop. Also, nice is Harry's favourite rapper, then Kendrick...Keep the Harry video's coming, much love from Cape Town, South Africa 💯🙏
I'm not reading through your comments by I'm sure it's been mentioned that all the songs he references actually used the same beat that he's rapping over. This is an homage to the original break-beats. I've still got 2 songs to watch, but this is a history lesson as well as music appreciation. Also, Doc Ellis was a pitcher who threw a no-hitter while on LSD. He walked a bunch of guys, but also made history. Harry, as usual, drops references that need footnotes. Nobody can follow everything his brain is doing...
Listen i know i might be annoying in the comments but i will keep reminding you guys, the perfect video for you from Harry mack gotta be “Hype Moments | Energy Exchange” I truly think the last videos from these series Energy Exchange are his best so far !!!! You will see him battle 🙄
You guys are super entertaining and I appreciate you being real about your opinions. I'd love to see you check out his Guerilla Bars 7 and Geurilla bars 25. Theyre like in-person omegle bars, very VERY fire.
I noticed that Harry said "I never slip" right before the moment where you said he went of beat. In that recent video you posted, where Harry was breaking down is own bars, didn't he also say something like "I never stumble" right before he messed up and integrated it into the breakdown? Not sure if it's intentional to demonstrate skills, or whether the thought of stumbling causes him to accidentally demonstrate his skills.
He stumbles but a good freestyler will always try to recover. Just how our mind work.. what's makes Harry a top level freestyler isnt because he don't fumble , it's when he does he somehow can pick it up and take it for a touchdown vs just recovering the fumble... if that makes sense.. don't know if you watch sports
@AlmostJokingPod That makes perfect sense. He seems so good at it that I started to think it was possibly intentional. To be honest, I didn't actually notice that he went off beat until you guys mentioned it. Thanks for the reply and that analogy you gave made me understand better. All the best to you both.
Minor point here, but Babe Ruth was not a racist. He used to go to the bleachers to take photos with segregated fans (you can find examples of these photos on google), he openly embraced playing non-segregated games, and was a guest of honor at a Harlem fundraiser for the benefit of a local African-American church. He is probably best described as not seeing the big deal about race in general. It was his indifference to race that probably contributed to him often being openly accused of being half-black and other distain from opposing players and even team mates.
i'm with you on the beats being better than the rapping, this one is just okay in my book. Stick to the classics like omegle bars 6, 43, 52, 70, 80 or guerilla bars 25. for the more raw hiphop shit: A good intro is also the Complex feature video "Harry Mack Amazes New Yorkers" where they send him to NY. Guerilla Bars 25 (and others). his radio appearance on real 92.3 with dj hed and bootleg kev. I wouldn't do his hometown stories or w/e else IMO .
What did you guys mean by Babe Ruth not being supportive of Jackie Robinson? Everything I've ever read about Babe Ruth speaks to the contrary. Even though their careers were 12 years apart, Ruth was pretty open about his thoughts and feelings regarding the black community. I'm all for pointing out historical figures who had some questionable opinions on race, but I don't think Babe Ruth was one of them. I'd like to research more into it if you guys have some references for me to read into that have a differing observation, for sure. I enjoyed the reaction guys. Thank you for this!
Honestly I was jus making a joke man idk nothing about baseball history so u can be %100 right and Babe Ruth is an ally I jus couldn't think of any other old baseball players and most white people back then were racist so I assumed my bad if he wasn't tho
