I've been a fan of Vija's work since I saw a show of hers back in the, I think, early 90's.
When you see the drawings and paintings of the waves and stars close-up, the thought of all the skill and dedication that's gone into the work is just staggering. When I saw that this film was produced back in 2003 I had to check that she was still with us and I was pleased to discover that she is, at the grand old age of 85.
