Hello friends! Do you need help finding baking related products? Here is the link to my Amazon storefront. Here you buy products from Amazon as usual, just products recommended by me.
    www.amazon.in/shop/cakesandmorebakingforbeginners
I have categorized them, have written a note for a few products (hover your mouse over the product to read it). I have personally not used all of those products, but these are what I would consider buying for myself.
Please note, when you purchase these through my page, I may earn a tiny commission on the same for my recommendation, this helps support my work in bringing out more useful information for you! I will keep updating more, so please follow me. Thank you for your support !

Thank you very muchfor sharing . I had been using convection microwave and Raccold round oven for cakes for many years till i bought my OTG last year but was apprehensive to use it . To tell u the truth I used it only twice 😄...but ur video has given me confidence. Would request you to share some secondary uses of OTG for cooking as well.

Thank you Manisha! I really don't see an OTG being very helpful for cooking, yes you can make oven dried tomatoes, dry herbs and the kind.

Thank you so much for this video. I have recently bought a 40L Morphy Richards. And couldn’t figure out why my cakes were burning from the top and bottom and still uncooked in between.
I realise now that I was baking on the convection mode instead of bake😊

I have an issue with loaf pan (I have 4-5 different brands with the same size (9*5), and altho I follow the recipe to the T, the loaf never seems to rise and bake fully while baking, altho the first and second rise are very well done. What could be the issue. The same flour / dough used for flatbreads like focaccia, pizza dont have any issue.

that was very helpful maam. And i need your help. I am considering American Micronic 36Ltr 2000W OTG. The catch is, where I am, our power supply is very low voltage especially during this winter season. So i would like to know, if I only use the lower rods for baking, and if the temperature is not set to 230 deg (which is max for the otg) always, does that mean it is consuming lower power (wattage)? Thank you.

Great and really helpful informative video Ma'am....👍👌
I have been struggling with my Convection OTG as whenever I use to keep oven on convection mode and bake cake use to burn patch on top and side too. Specially chocolate base use to become very dry. Thn once I tried to reduce temperature to 150 to 160 degree normal vanilla cake came out fine but chocolate cake still becomes bit dry.
I never face this issue in my normal basic OTD which dnt have fan in it. Sometimes I feel it is best for prefect baking cake.
But as u told we have to keep experimenting with our oven... So just exactly doing same now a days....😊

Vaishali please Do Not buy a microwave. We are getting into the habit of following the west without even thinking about the health repercussions. the waves that are emitted from a microwave are 200,000 times more powerful_ and of course potentially lethal_than ordinary x ray waves and this is something your doctor is not going to tell you. why do you think so many people suffer from cancer in the West? Because they use shortcuts for cooking and that is why microwave cooking makes all their meals. Please buy an OTG if you are worried about the health of your family- if you couldn't care less ,buy a microwave. of course the manufacturers are going to tell you that there is absolutely nothing wrong with microwave cooking and it is safe, but what do they know? Their job is to sell their product to people like you and me.

Hello Cakes And More! My oven is of the same brand at 28 litres. What mode should I use for roasting chicken? It only has keep warm, bake, broil, toast and rotisserie modes.

Have you tried baking the same recipe on a single rack Meenal? Does it happen only when you bake on two levels?

Hi mam, for baking cake should we use the convection mode or just the bottom element?

  • @mandygoon

Hi ma'am, like you, I've a morphy richards 52 liters OTG, am using the bake mode option for breads and buns, which worked fine for bread but for buns, the bottom got a bit darker and the tops were lighter. Can you just tell me if i want to bake 2 normal sized loaves of bread in convection mode, what should be my settings? is it ok to bake in convection mode for breads and buns, please advise.

Nice video. Should the crumb tray go above or below the lower heating element? It is possible for the tray to be placed below in my oven, but won't stuff drip on to the lower element in that case.
