i checked myself as i did live in grape town and had everything deleted.
i even went to grapes house coords and nothing remains but an ocean.
depressing to say the least...
they even deleted all pokemon data.

If I had to guess, the server was reset. Usually on these public servers, the servers reset every year or so, some even sooner than that. If they don't, the entire world tends to become claimed by players that no longer play and new players can't get anything.
