- The very haunted Aradale Lunatic Asylum was opened in 1867 and shut in 1993. Many controversial medical treatments were trialled during this time, and over 13,000 people died. This time Alison returns on her own and sits in the section that scared them the most on their last visit. Just an update, as I don't want to redo the whole video, the EVP at approx 39 mins, is probably my jacket rubbing. Sorry, missed that one initially. 😊

The orbs r absolutely crazy when u start at the women's side...omg
just bear in mind orbs have been debunked to be dust motes or insects... but also could be anything, but dust motes are my first guess :)

Interesting video. I've experienced odd things at care homes and hospitals but have never been to an asylum, I think that would be freaky but interesting.

I don't know why, but I have a total fascination with the history of asylums and jails, so try and find them wherever we travel to. Now hospitals and care homes are fascinating as well. We got our big city hospital for a year when it was decomissioned. So we started to explore the 'grey nurse' phenomena reported there but also reported in hospitals all over the world. I wished we had longer as had some interesting things and I feel it was just warming up when we stopped. Sadly it has been demolished now. I hear all the time from nurses on their expriences in these places. ❤️

It certainly has a feel about it, doesn't it. Asylums had such sad history, especially when we contemplate that any one of us could have been in them :(
Hi Alison wow ...que the music...All by yourself don't wana be all by yourself. You are so brave to tackle that spooky place all by yourself. And who knew they had ambulance ramping in the hall ways way back then. It was interesting that Lithium mentioned the arm she saw being back as black because I saw something block out the light from under the crack of a door like that a few months back and yes it was black as you can get really weird. When you heard that metal clink and played the tape back did you hear a voice whisper die I'm pretty sure I did very spooky indeed. 👻👻👻👍🏻❤

The sound you heard and reacted to on the phone recording at 38:17 in this video was actually your sleeve rubbing on your jacket.
You moved the camera at 37:07 from pointing at Lithium to back in front of you just after she asked for someone to say her middle name. That noise was captured on the recording. Sorry but that one is debunked.
Just gone back to have a look and you are correct. I will try to overlay it today and see if the timing matches. Don't apologise, we love when people can discuss it. I missed that one... I usually don't as in other episodes, I have shown even swallows being mistaken etc. This is why we always have a camera on us: so you guys can pick things up if we miss them. Thank you for taking the time to watch and for debunking my not picking up on that one. ❤️
Also, I wasn't in a good state of mind that night as I learned on the way up a close loved one had cancer... I don't usually use the phone, and I don't normally hold it, so why it probably picked up on the jacket. Normally the voice recorder is put well away from us so it doesn't. Rookie mistake 🤔lol

I did a six hour investigation there a few weeks ago with my partner and we had some incredible personal experiences, the likes of which I’ve never had before and especially as I consider myself an openminded sceptic and I always try to debunk first and foremost.
My partner was scratched right across her lower back in the men’s infirmary with me standing in the room with her so hearing Lithium talk about her being scratched in there really resonated with us. We showed our guide Sage the scratches immediately and I could see them getting redder and more prominent as I watched. Sage took a photo of the scratches.
That place is so powerful…
I can’t wait to go back but my partner has said she needs more time before returning as she said the place really took it out of her.

Ironically we always teach our guests to question and try to replicate first before jumping to any conclusion 😂
Thank you for sharing your experiences at Aradale. It is an amazing place, and so much more to explore there. Interesting that it was the men's infirmary for your partner's experience too, as that is the only building there that unsettles me, as you can tell in the video lol. There is something just not right about that building! Can't wait to get back there one day.
While it might have been a brush of the sleeve, I think the white noise it produces, like static or the darkness this can be manifested/manipulated into something coherent @@haunted-horizons , I can hear the name Phoebe, not a common name, but I hear it, Lithium did too, wasn't surprised, they call us out on the portal all the time.
It is an interesting hypothesis, as I know there were experiments being done with using running water for EVP many moons ago.
