This is true! But look into the brighter side, English became the second language in the Philippines and this country became the best English speakers in South East Asia ... and neighbouring countries!

If the Philippines didn’t remove Spanish as national language, it would be easier for Filipinos to learn French, Italian, Portuguese, etc.
