Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Hope 2021 is a better year for everyone!
Creative solution Dave and simple but well executed brackets - I'm thinking you could duct a defroster off it too... a bit loud for my taste... but once you're out ripping it up in the car with your sweetheart you'll never hear it... but you probably would if she was cold.
Nice heater, plain, simple and functional. A 10-15a fuse should be more than enough for that small fan.
Merry Christmas
nice job I would just unhook the hoses in summer and just use a short piece of hose and loop it instead of removing the fittings and replacing with the plugs but just my 2 cents worth but stay safe , stay healthy keep on keeping on
Heard BWs Garage mention you. I came I saw I like! Subbed. Now I'm going to the beginning to see your videos. Hello from NM 👍😎
Great job Dave but might want to consider a shut off valve for the summer
Good idea. I was wondering what to do about that.
Awsome job on the car .. not really a chevy guy but you can't beat the style of the old body lines no matter the make .. Keep up the great work and vidios .. Longball .. Penetanguishene Ontario .. Slightly north of Barrie on Georgian Bay..
The line that runs from the intake to the core needs a restrictor with a 1/4” or 3/8” hole otherwise the core will blow out in a short time. You could incorporate that restrictor with a shutoff valve (for summer)
The fitting I added has a built in restrictor.
Good. I learned the hard way a few years ago
Hey Dave, Great job on the brackets, they look professionally done. Come spring you may want to rethink the holes through the firewall. You should of made them larger and installed rubber grommets so you don't have rubbing on the cores outlets. Through time the metal will ware and maybe leak, plus you will have hot air come through the spaces from the hot engine compartment . It would be a little safer. Plus you may want to add a outlet in the middle of your hose so you can flush your system anytime you want. They are cheap and come in very handy. All in all you did a great job on this, have a great week there buddy. Later
Good job Dave. The fan sounded a little bit loud, but nothing that a good stereo won't fix. Thank you for entertaining us. Looking forward to the next one.
Great job, you are giving me incentive to put a heater in my 37 Chevy coupe.
nice backup music ..
A steel plug in an aluminum manifold is a receipe for disater..As you have learned... Use Anti Seize on the threads when you need to put dissimiliar metals together.
As your gaze was directed at the snow, the reflection of your eyes was white, like Mine. Lol. Be safe.
For the seat belts put some thick wall box tube up the posts and over the roof say like 1 X 3 or something like that it would be like a roll bar that you can weld nuts into it to bolt stuff to
Merry Xmas and happy new year 👍
Thank you for the sub brother.
Looks really nice 😎
Good job, they make a electric valve for the in line hose so there won’t be heat inside when the weather is hot in the summer
Great job Dave...your so talented!
Nice work brother! Making me think about putting heaters in my 55 and 39 Chevys. Thanks for the idea. Merry Christmas! 👍😎
Some how I missed this video, Merry Christmas Dave, heats a good thing.
You might want to put a grate of some kind over the heater core so it won't get bent fins from the passenger accidentally kicking the core when they get in and out. Otherwise, looks like a great job.
Merry Christmas! It looks like that heater will work out really well for you. All the best to you and your wife from Linda and me.
What’s next? Seat belts or windows?
Probably setabelts
What was the original application (vehicle make/model) for the heater core? Looks to be a good size unit.
It's from a Daewoo Leganza I believe. Ted will come along soon and correct me if I'm wrong.
Did you have to add fluid to make up for the volume added by the heater system?
Yes, but I still need to add some more
So... what are you gonna do for windows?
first
lol, show-off.
@@ScottRods you'll have to add five or ten minutes of filler at the end of the next one so people can continue to chat about what they have just seen.
