Wet Ireland, Eucalyptus flowers and seed

I was asked if I'd managed to collect seed from my Eucalyptus here in West Clare, Ireland, and the short answer is not so far, though I'm hopeful I will in the next year or so.

Great to see the flowers starting on yours. Ground here in Longford completely sodden too. Luckily all my Eucalypts survived the winter and hopefully some nice weather ahead ☀️ .

Forecast is for more rain here in the next couple of days, but then to be drier 🤞🏻
Hopefully it will start to become warmer as well, feels cold for this time of year.

It would be great if Ireland could start small plantations of distinct varieties in order to gather seed for more adapted next generation Eucalyptus trees; they have so much to offer the country 😉

How long from flowers to seed

Yet to get seed Michael, so can't say for sure. I would assume that once the flowers have died off and the capsules dry out, perhaps six months, though it's a guess.
I update with my findings regularly, and am letting everything grow now to get flowers and eventually seed.

Thanks for the reply I need about 650 trees for fire wood what would you recommend how much and when would you be able to supply I am in county down BT34 3qb we are South facing and about 500 ft above sea level I have some planted doing well but need more to finish the project
