    Why do i think that 987 is going to now make a turreted shooter?

    Supercool video, but I have a few comments. One, the shooter design works great, yet the driver has to take a lot of time to align it perfectly. Two, with the intake I think two wheels on each side (one where the tread is and on where the arm clamps) would allow to intake power cubes at angles. Other than that, this is an incredible build for your time restraints.

      I'm on an FTC team and last year for Velocity Vortex we found that a little practice makes it quick to align.

    Nice design its way more complex and probably more effective than ours lol.

    how did you get your robot built and anodized in 3 days?

    • @alexoelke939

      It's powder coated, which we do in house. There is a white paper we wrote up on this last year. Download it here: www.chiefdelphi.com/media/papers/3328

    • @JimmyDonadio
      @JimmyDonadio 6 років тому +2

      Hudson Kahn We chose to focus our efforts on other mechanisms. You can see in our strategy documentation that we did feel that climbing would be an important aspect of this game, but didn't feel that we could successfully execute on climbing in addition to the other subsystems in 3 days.

    First has a clause stating that the cube can never be purposely propelled from the robot, I’m fuzzy on the exact wording

      Yeah, that was just for fun. We turned the shooter to full power for that shot!

    • @karlolson3029
      @karlolson3029 6 років тому +1

      Our intent was just to show off the range/power of our shooter :) We had the shooter's power limited for the majority of the video.

    It's cool and all to make a robot in three days, but what's the point of it? It would only make your robot more badly made, than you taking your time to actually think about the design and process.
