I think a lot of those were born around the time he was appointed. They don't grasp the impact he had, what he changed (at Arsenal) and the fact we went up about 10 levels with the players he found. It went from "Who the f- is that?" to " I dunno who he is, but I bet he's dynamite..." Great man, great manager. He's gonna be revered and talked about when everyone in Earth right now are dead; he's an immortal in football.
Agreed i hope they do realise how lucky they were some day especially looking at the current situation. Like united but we realise how lucky we were :P Miss Wenger.
As a Liverpool fan, most of us envy how good a manager Arsenal had, they played beautiful soccer. They win games in style. Poor Arsene wenger didnt have the money to build his team for years due to the new stadium but yet he still able to stay in top 4 for many years with young players they have.
I never wanted him to leave, hopefully some Gunners will realise now that the gras is not always greener on the other side. It's a shame his legacy ended this way... Thank you Arsene for everything you did for this club. Your class and personality is the reason why i became a Gunner!
Yeah I agree with you and this video just makes it extra sad then when emery came along he was doing quite well but then he started losing a few games then the fans wanted him out. Arsenal want to win titles again and they’ll always blame the manager when it’s the owner that takes all our money for American football teams
How can you not want a manager to leave when he’s not been challenging for the premier league and champions league for many years now?🤦🏼♂️ fans like you need a slap! It doesn’t matter how well Wenger has done in the past - sentimental feelings aside he should have left 5 years ago!

Wenger will forever remain the absolute manager Arsenal ever had. The invisible record will take a very long time to be overtaken by any football manager in history.
Arsene is just pure class! No wonder Mourinho is so jealous of him. Arsenal should have just given Wenger their cheque book in his last season and said, "Go on Arsene. You deserve it. We can afford it. Spend what you like, on who you like, just like the other managers can." Just imagine what he would have done....... Arsenal fans should be disgusted at how they treated this great man. I'm an Arsenal fan, of course. But I wanted to be successful with Arsene, because he truly is one of us. What a guy, fascinating to listen to! I'd imagine there would be celebrations if ever he was back in the dugout at the Emirates. Very much "The Professor"!
Brilliant Manager and fantastic man. The way the media treated him throughout his career was a disgrace. From the 4th place trophy jibe (he was right) to the lies and dishonesty about what the stadium did to Arsenal financially. In a day of cheque book managers and oil money, he was a breath of fresh air with his development of players and ability to coach players, like Henry, to be something they never thought they were. A statue should be built at the Emirates.
Arsene wenger is a visionary. He kept arsenal competitive after he left and this is what people are not seeing in 2020 do you think arsenal would be able to stay in the prem with Highbury? No. So we have to look at a football club as a business.
Arsenal would be in Championship league without Arsene Wenger. He able to keep Arsenal in Premier League with NO MONEY. He stayed and accepted all the hate, criticism and insult to build a foundation for the future. This man name must never be forgotten in Arsenal. Mikel Arteta looking as the right successor for him.
I really thought the reporting on Arsene during those yrs was poor. In America, they talked about how his collaboration with David Dein would be hard to replicate in other sports because of the additional positions(GM, President etc). They didn't discuss how the new stadium affected transfers, which gave the impression that Arsene was just cheap & stubborn. What AV accomplished was extraordinary
Beautiful man beautiful soul hounded out by scum who follow Arsenal I was never one of them and never forgive them for the treatment of this great human being
when this man joined Arsenal, Alex Ferguson shit himself, you could tell by the comments he made when Arsene's name was mentioned, he behaved like a child, and Arsene changed the game and fergie had to follow or slip in to the depths of an also ran, Arsene was a gift to the Premier league, a true legend.
The reason those comments were made by Sir Alex was because Arsene Wenger declined to move the fixture schedule of the leaque because Man utd were playing Ucl and in retrospect Arsene Wenger was right, in every other leaque worldwide the just move the team that plays in Europe not the entire league schedule
Arsene is CLASS, by very far the best all round Manager. I however think he stayed far too long. It is sad the way he parted way with Arsenal. The last two years has shown the vacuum his unplanned departure had caused the club. Arsenal MUST honor this GAINT
Mate, you should have asked one very important question- why he kept protecting the Kronekes and not asking more investments to the team? The Kronekes are multi billionaire and I am sure if they had done that long time ago, we could have been more challenging and who knows, maybe Wenger is still in the job!
I won't pain any pictures here, I did want this man to leave Arsenal. I knew always, partially, he is far from being the only responsible, in fact he is the least responsible, but I still held him accountable simply because he continued to push and exercise a philosophy at a club that did not provide him with the right pedigree to execute the idea. Ultimately we suffered embarrassment after embarrassment, so yeah I do think he overstayed for his own bad more than anything, maybe not as much for the bad of the fans as for the bad of himself, and he realises that now I am sure. That being said, he is the reason I started supporting Arsenal, he is one of the most intelligent men in football, of all time, and he is one of the best managers, certainly the best manager in the history of Arsenal. A man of class, and a man with certain education. People like him are a definitely a dying breed.
I was born in 2000 and I'm a Barca fan. But I think that red card in the 2006 UCL Final should have been a yellow because it was too early in the match ; it was too harsh in my opinion.
Arsenal fans needs to apologise to this man. He built them a good club and left a good lagecy, sacrificed his career for Arsenal and all Arsenal fans could do is talk him out of the club
Dear interviewer, you need to up your game. So many of these questions were embarrassing. for example, instead of asking who his best 11 are, maybe ask “which arsenal players were the most influential on the team and why?” Instead of which manager would you wish you had a bit of, ask “which managers gave you the hardest tactical decisions to make?”
I’ve watched the CL final sending off a few times, can’t figure who Pat Rice was referring to in regards of tracking the runner rather than playing the offside trap.
Ronaldinho's through ball split the defence. The offside trap didn't work. If you look carefully you'll see Eto'o is onside and the last man is Kolo Touré (#28), who gets outpaced by the striker. Jens comes out and brings him down, and the rest is history. It still hurts til this day.
I like the part where he refers to the great players as children, or still having the child in them. Eric Cantona once narrated an advert for Joga Bonito (the beautiful game) where he says; "When you were a kid it was easy. You were not afraid to try, to dare. You do it just because you like it. So my advice to you is never grow up my friends."
I find the interviewer annoying and his questions are just superficial, and even his comeback questions and rebuttals are poor. Maybe he's not really a football man
