Congrats Michigan!!! From a Notre Dame fan I can tell you it was hard to watch ND vs USC during the mid-late 2000s. Seemed like no end in sight in beating USC. Appreciate that post. I grew up watching UofM as a kid, back in the late 60's and early 70's with Franklin and Leach, and then through Harbaugh, Grbac, Collins, Griese and Brady. The two rivalries back then were Notre Dame and Ohio State. MSU had a HUGE drop-off after the late 70's, and really didn't have a significant resurgence until Nick Saban took over the program in the 90's. It was basically those TWO games... Notre Dame - many years, to OPEN the season, and Ohio State to CLOSE the season. And it was ALWAYS competitive! I'm actually really bummed for Notre Dame to be losing Kelly as a coach. I think it is a BAD decision for Kelly - I really do! Saban can't coach forever, but Swinney (52) isn't going anywhere, and neither is Smart (45). Kelly will turn 61 in the middle of next season at LSU. I hope your replacement coaching search is successful, and long-term. Notre Dame and Michigan WINNING are both GOOD for College Football.

As hard as OSU's dominance over Michigan has been, for as long as I do NOT care to remember, I always rooted for OSU in Bowl Games. This - all of it - is GREAT for the Big 10 Conference! If Michigan can somehow - and I believe they can - defeat Alabama (let's be honest - Cincy has ZERO chance), this will be one of the BIGGEST accomplishments in the history of College Football.
You could feel his love and passion throughout the broadcast! There was a few times he forgot he was supposed to be broadcasting live, but I absolutely loved every single second of it! All class, all heart and ALL BLUE!
