I worked at the Smaks across from the old Antioch center, Chouteau I think
used to work at Antioch Center, and was a Smak's addict!
I was a Smak's fan in the early 70's but my go to sandwich was the deep fried pork fritter! with lettuce, tomato and mayo plus FF or rings and a strawberry shake--- it was nirvana!
My favorite restaurant growing up as a kid in Kansas City in the 60s and 70s
Other than Gates
Both excellent choices.
My Dad worked at Harrigan Motors at 64th and Troost in 1963-4. There was a Smaks across the street. Everytime my mom took me there I had to tell my Dad "a nickel and a dime any old time!"
In high school I won the Smaks SuperZoomer contest at Swope Park. It was a copy of a Frisbee Fastback! I won like 15 hamburgers and a radio!!!
We want 15 hamburgers 🤔
In summer 1977 I worked at Goodyear 75th and Metcalf and walked to Smaks at 76th and Metcalf. I sure looked forward to lunch there Monday through Friday.
I remember the Smaks in Raytown. Remember those Smakaroos?
Does Wimpys have one of these
Smaks was my favourite burger place by far in the 70's in Overland Park. Much better than McDonald's.
