Alex you are an absolute videography genius. I can honestly say you make masterpieces. Each episode I love to learn and indulge in the outdoors with you. This is real life. This isn’t consumerism and who can make the most billions of pounds to buy another item they don’t need. This is what true REAL life is and how it should be enjoyed. Superb! And I wish you all the best in your ventures
I once volunteered in an organic bee keeping farm in north Italy and I never thought you could keep bees in wet England, thanks for the videos, so inspiring!
I love the ending of this video, how you shared your new honey with your friends on such a wonderful looking picnic/reunion. Just so thoughtful and fun!
Aww, man. I moved away from Caerfyrddin a few years ago, up to Yorkshire to be closer to my family after my nieces were born. Seeing those landscape shots and hearing Gruff's accent just made me powerfully homesick.
Loved the honey video. We have a couple of hives here in Tasmania on our 2 acre wooded house block. Used to have a lot more for 15 or so years. We also fish in the river and sea at the end of our road. Keep up the good work.🐝🐝🐋🐬🐟
@@trophy182 No devils near us. We do have wild wallabies, 2 kinds of possums, 2 kinds of poisonous snakes, quuolls and assorted dangerous insects. It is still worth living here.☺
Hi Alex. I enjoy your videos. Compliments on your gumption! Super comes from Latin and means "above." In English, we combine it with words like ~lative ( lative is also from Latin and means to praise). So superlative = above praise. Therefore, super probably became used for the honey top boxes. As hive farms had a strong association with monasteries and covenants where Latin was expected, that may be the influence as well in the honey boxes being called supers.
Day in the life of a pro beekeeper video is why I subscribed. I was happy to see you decided to become a beekeeper. Wishing you success and good health on your journey. Thanks God bless
Loved this video. Even more listening to the Welsh accent...Twelve years ago, middul, handred, Wales is very rooral, bucket, hunnney, fahm, fluvverrs sounds so much better than flowers, wheel bahrrow ,difffrunt, one box at a tayum...the stress on the 'r' If this gentleman recited poetry it would be a sheer delight to listen to. Like listening to the late , Sir Richard Burton. The Welsh seem to endow a richness to the English language when they enunciate it their way. Thank you.
Water biscuits, called water biscuits because they're just made from flour and water. And apparently the cracking sound they make has something to do with it. Maybe cracking of waves against the hull of a ship as they were used as food for long voyages.
I'm fascinated by Gruff's accent. I come from Germany and actually have difficulty understanding him. It sounds interesting though haha Keep up the good work Alex, you are inspiring!
Surprisingly the auto captions didn't have too much of an issue with it though. At least not when talking about cut comb honey. I'd say mistaking comb for coal isn't too bad with his accent. I had to turn it on and rewatch that part since I couldn't understand him lol
As someone from the States who has never been to Wales (England and Ireland: yes, Wales and Scotland: not yet, hopefully someday!), this guy's accent is just so amazing and not one that I think I've ever heard before! I find regional accents like this to be fascinating and I'm familiar with many from the British Isles (Quick aside: isn't it just so cool that such a small area of land has such an amazing variety of accents? Some of them are dying out and that makes me sad. Same with here in the States...lots of regional accents are dying or lessening considerably.) , but this is a new one for me. Is this what a native Welsh speaker sounds like? The way he (Griff?) says 'rural' is honestly awesome. His cadence is sending me, too. I could listen to him all day!
Your videos are always a must watch for me, so interesting, well put together and educational. Can’t wait to follow your van conversion project. Thanks to you, whilst out walking I managed to identify some chicken of the woods too!
Amazing video as usual Alex, keep up the fantastic content, your videos always make my day, thanks very much, I am very excited for the adventures to come, I love the positive vibes, keep them coming !!!!!
Mate you are such an inspiration! I am truely proud of you as a person your so cool man! Just so genuine! Go you mate be super proud of yourself I bet your parents feel blessed and are so proud of you
Griff is great!! really loving this channel Alex! please keep going the diverse content and exceptional quality is amazing and appreciated soooooo much xx
The origin of the word super comes because it’s short for superior. In other words, honey boxes designated for honey, as opposed to brewed seat, superior or super for short above the brood boxes
🐝I’m absolutely loving your new venture and content Alex. Love the fact that you’re not keeping all your eggs in one basket. Great to know that you and Carl are still dipping your nets, as they say. Living the dream, keep them coming. PS: The editing is superb!🎞
Nice one Alex, you are like the guy that school used to invite into a assembly but so much better because your videos are well edited and reach out to more than one assembly lol, this content teaches kids and adults, keep it going dude 😀 👍
Cracking video Alex, I believe it’s called the ‘super’ as the beers store their honey in it as it is ‘superfluous’ to their needs, sure I learned that watching Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall! Keep up the good content man!
thank you Alix loved the video, we can see you were in your element visiting that bee farm, your jealous now i bet you go get some more bee hives now lol ❤
Awesome job Alex, I enjoy your videos. I have a bit of experience with van builds, electrical, diesel heater, etc. I will email you soon. Also some beautiful spots in Devon I could share

Good stuff as per usual Alex. I love honey. So many fantastic qualities. Never goes off I. E you can always utilise it. Great for sweetening (obviously) marinading, glazing, crumpets etc. Whatever. When backpacking I always travelled with some. Flexi container and keep the nozzle clean otherwise you'll have a backpack full of ants. Waiting for your ownjars to hit the market😁😀
You ended by saying, "that was fun." And I was literally thinking.. that was fun to watch haha it's not Just Alex... this channel comes with all kinds of awesome ;) and don't worry.. the fish are just getting their chance to swim freely till you feel like eating some fresh fish n chips (maybe a future episode idea.. Alex gathers fish and hunts for potatoes in his garden lol inside joke for C&A fans)
Glad to have you on the farm 😊👍🏻🐝🐝
The "super" is just an abbreviation of superstructure
Best regards from Poland ❤️🐝❤️
Thank you for letting Alex film his tour, I loved getting to watch this in Canada ❤

our neighbors are bee keepers and like this guy said. We love to see their bees come over. This should be something that more ppl take up.
I can seriously watch this guy the whole day
Lovin the content Alex keep it upp🥳
Bees were how I found you in the first place. My mother's mother grew up in Wales such beautiful country. Thank you Alex once again!
That farm looked so cool and Cliff seems like a great guy. Hope his crop is good this year
On South Africa's North coast there's a honey farm with the slogan: " If you've got money, we've got honey!" Try it !❤
This channel is going to blow up, really raw and pure minutes of good content well done lad. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Thank you! :)
I once volunteered in an organic bee keeping farm in north Italy and I never thought you could keep bees in wet England, thanks for the videos, so inspiring!
This was Wales, but yes you can still keep them in England, although I don't think the honey Is as lovely.😉
I love the ending of this video, how you shared your new honey with your friends on such a wonderful looking picnic/reunion. Just so thoughtful and fun!
"looking into that river makes me want to go fishing again" exactly what we wanted to hear lol 😂😂😂 good video again Alex, loved it.
Aww, man. I moved away from Caerfyrddin a few years ago, up to Yorkshire to be closer to my family after my nieces were born. Seeing those landscape shots and hearing Gruff's accent just made me powerfully homesick.

I just ordered a 1kg jar, looks excellent, and always happy to support Welsh produce.
In the 70s our neighbors and us had bees. We harvested enough honey to supply our group of friends and families.
Пчелите са мойте страсти ,и много добра ферма с ДОБЪР и любящ пчелар.

Good to see spreading the message of love and compassion among your friends, and family...
A lot of people people in Wales don’t really sound that welsh
Alex has somehow found the most welsh person ever
Day in the life of a pro beekeeper video is why I subscribed. I was happy to see you decided to become a beekeeper. Wishing you success and good health on your journey. Thanks God bless
Thanks! I hope you enjoy the beekeeping videos next year!
The adjective super is an abbreviated use of the prefix super-, which comes from the Latin super-, meaning “above,” “over,” or “beyond.”
Ahhh great! Thanks for the info!

As a west-coast American, I had to turn on the subtitles cause I had no clue what he was saying ^_^; ya doin alright.

a couple of years ago, my friend and I went to a local bee keeper. And we bought 70kg honey, he sold them in buckets of 10 kg. It was delicious
Brilliant. This is like two giants of the Marvel and DC superhero universes (fishing UA-cam and beekeeping UA-cam) meeting up.
Griff is great!! really loving this channel Alex! please keep going the diverse content and exceptional quality is amazing and appreciated soooooo much xx
Great video as always Alex I never knew there was so much into bee keeping and harvesting honey
“SUPER”. short for superfluous. Which describes the honey box

Loved every second of that video something so different as so informative. Can’t wait to see your first load of honey 🐝
The origin of the word super comes because it’s short for superior. In other words, honey boxes designated for honey, as opposed to brewed seat, superior or super for short above the brood boxes
So cool to see the land, a hive of friends, and a new accent. Almost sounds rastafarian/Irish to me. Thoroughly enjoyed this, cheers
Thank you for educating us about bee honey farming. A new knowledge learned from you. Wish you well. 🙏🙏
What a amazing trip. Love it.
