Hey Steve... I know from experience how hard it was getting my business going from the ground up, but I know you have been cleaning windows for a few day 😂and have the knowledge to succeed. I have been watching your videos for over 2 years now and I have learned and benefited from them immensely. Thank you for the awesome videos, and wish you the best of luck👍🏻
Thank you Steve for your support to our community ( windows cleaning) I would like to hear from you in regards to hiring new employees for your service, may the Lord continuing blessing you! Happy New Year everyone!!!
You are a born businessman and I have no doubt you are an awesome worker. I live in Canada and I so wish I had someone like you to call to do my windows and gutters. However, I still watch your videos because they have been very useful in buying the right equipment to "encourage" my trusty handyman to do a better job. Your advice is excellent and you deserve to do well. I have no doubt you will✌p.s. I believe your best reviews are these You Tube videos👌
All the best to you man. Appreciate all your content. I’m a teacher full time looking to continue to grow our cleaning services company. This is great timing and motivation. You got this!
Laying that foundation for spring! There's a lot of solo guys (like me) and topics like scheduling, marketing, bookkeeping, and working with other owners are all tricky at times.
Congrats on going out on your own, that has to be a great feeling😁It’s been cool to see things progress over the years with 20/20, WCR & now your own business. I’ll make sure and leave you a review!!😎👊🏼
Great introductory summary to the start-up phase. You didn't miss a thing. Here in Australia, most strip malls or fully enclosed shopping centres require A$10 million public liability insurance before they let you in the complex to canvas for jobs. But it's worth it.
Thank you so much for this (and all of your other videos)! Starting my own ww business could really help me create a better life, but I didn’t know where to start, so I wasn’t starting. Your videos are helping make that happen. I cannot thank you enough.
Oh yeah! We are all set for this to be the max! Very curious about the new videos that you will be posting. I have been working independently for 7 months now and this will certainly generate a lot of ideas for me. I wish you a lot of success and a lot of fun in what you will achieve. Many greetings from Belgium
Congrats SteveO that was a ton of work you did. I believe you forgot to talk about accident insurance. GL doesn’t protect you from injury on the job. And workman comp doesn’t protect owner. So it’s important to have a supplement insurance to your health insurance. For example the policy I have, should I fall of a ladder and break a bone while working my policy will pay me to 10k, to pay my bills until I can work again
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner This is in addition to health insurance. It’s a supplemental. Health insurance isn’t going to pay for your car payments and electric bills when you can not work. I’m sure you heard of Aflac insurance. As a business we have so many expenses, we can not afford not to work. But if you can’t work for a month or two. Your business might go under
So do you door knock? Letterbox drop flyers and business cards? I'm thinking door knocking and letter box dtop in a residential area might be best for me, but curious what you did to get started? I work as a risk analyst right now, so have a 9 to 5, but wanted to start doing weekend work and if things start to take off, transition to full time. The first part of my plan is to use my own house to build my skills and just practise, practise, practise every free time I have till I can clean my house windows and stacker doors efficiently and with good techniques and great outcomes.. build up that confidence because I want those first jobs I do to be really great etc
I know this is a very broad question because I own a painting company and understand costs but obviously two different business. Rough cost on a washing windows on a two story home? Small home of let’s say 2800 sq ft.. Or is there a better way to be competitive with pricing ?
Hey SteveO, just curious if you have prior experience using the CRM you are currently using. If so I’d like to get more feedback on what you like and dislike about it.

Hey man, I'm 15 also and recently started in the business. I'm not yet licensed, but did around 4,000 in jobs in the last few months. I'll be getting licensed and insured this spring hopefully. Did you ever end up starting window cleaning?
Hello SteveO, I Recently partnered with an older window cleaner. He wants to retire and sell me his route, which is extensive. How do I effectively transfer his clients to JOBBER? I mean they've been transacting business for a long time face to face transactions, which I've noticed waste a lot of time. I don't want to risk putting them off, or shocking them with a new system.
