ppl explaining what lost media is can be helpful bc not everyone defines lost media the same way. one of LLSuperSonicQ’s recent videos kinda touched on this- he mentioned how some ppl don’t consider things lost unless there’s next to no proof it even existed in the first place while others consider something lost media even if the missing part is only a couple frames or a single scene (like the scene from spongebob where squidward turns into a snail or the infamous dennō senshi porygon pokémon scene)

I actually checked out that thread about the TVLand screamer commercial and many of the users in the thread are pretty much convinced the OP made it all up, because the same user has admitted to making up other stuff in different threads.

I wouldn't rule it out yet. 90s was pretty wild with commercials and there are those short 5-10min horror/scary commercials from that time. Most notable being the infamous Kid on stairs extended version. There are others too if you dig deep enough so I wouldn't rule that one out
Genuinely incredible. Your ability to find lesser known topics and bring them together in this kind of light in a massive 30/40 entry format is just awesome. Please make more of these! The topics you choose are absolutely fascinating!!!!!
It's so strange to me that things I grew up with are lost media. I remember playing most of the Disney Interactive games with my sister, and I vaguely recall seeing Snappy Larry on Noggin. Honestly never thought it'd recognize let alone have personally interacted with any lost media
same with me and mundo toonix, as a latino I never interacted with most of this type of lost media but that one caught me off guard because i played it so much
@@octaviolopez9131 Sounds deep, but not really. Most of the world we were raised in still lives on. There is a reason lost media is such an interesting phenomenon, it doesn't happen all the time.
@@olivercharles2930 Actually, it's always happening, but it generally happens so gradually that it goes largely unnoticed. The volume of lost media is larger the further back in time you look for it...around 75% of films made in the 20s are lost. The same amount of TV from before 1970 is lost. In 50 years, most early internet material will be lost. There will always be archives which preserve a small amount of media for posterity, but those archives will also be lost to history eventually. Nothing is forever.
@@olivercharles2930 Hi, I just saw your reply and yes, of course, the world we were raised can't be gone forever overnight. It's not like a game savefile you can delete and start a new one over and over again. What I mean is the fact that the world never remains completely the same and change is the only thing that remains (yes, a Buddhism reference), involving a lot of things inside and out the media.
I can’t believe I’ve seen so many of these things as a kid (or even a very young toddler) that have been completely buried in my mind before seeing this video. It’s crazy how instantly I recognize something I hadn’t thought about in forever.
Yeah, I absolutely watched My Bedbugs a few times when it was originally airing and I completely forgot that was a thing and I don't even think I knew the name, it was just one of those things that I'd catch during the middle of an episode or something but it's crazy how vividly I remember those character designs
Big Brother UK 2002 contained a really weird incident in the live feed, one night, which seemed to be buried without any further mention anywhere that I ever knew of. It was the first series to feature extensive live footage almost every night on Channel 4, as filler between around midnight up until 4 or 5am. This one particular night, there were a few housemates chatting in the garden. Whenever conversation became unsuitable for broadcast, usually for legal reasons, the sound would be cut and ambient outdoor noise would play. But this particular night, you could faintly hear the housemates talking beneath it. The live audio was leaking through the censor. Some 99% of it was indecipherable, but you could tell that it was heavy stuff from the sombre facial expressions. This went on for an extremely long time, maybe an hour or two. Then, some very stern apologies began to appear. There were various captions overlayed on the live feed, and also captions appearing during the ad breaks. The continuity announcer even chipped in with apologies. But they were all worded so seriously. I mean, gravely seriously. As though a severe crime had been committed. They didn't elude to what the apology was exactly for, but they referenced severely offensive material which may have inadvertently been audible. It always stuck with me, because it seemed like something major had happened. But then, nothing was ever mentioned of it ever again. The show was at its height of popularity, the media covered every little thing that happened on the show. Yet this just passed, nobody mentioned it, yet Channel 4 seemed freaked out that they had broadcast something awful. It was one of the strangest things I have ever seen on TV, yet it instantly disappeared without trace.
unless other people remember this as well, is it possible it was a dream? i don't mean this in a disbelieving way necessarily, but given that it aired so late, i can think of a few things from my childhood that i dreamed about and was so convinced actually happened until i found out that they didn't. it's the source of some serious mandela effect moments for me lol
I was an avid Noggin watcher growing up (I stayed home a lot of the time watching tv because of a sickness) and I vividly remember Snappy Larry's Showtime. I can remember a few of the songs, too. I never knew it was lost media, and just assumed it was archived. I hope it's found soon, that's a big part of my childhood right there.
To me, the best part of lost medias is that feeling that even if something wasn't very good or didn't make that much success, somewhere in another time, someone will be trying his hardest to search and found this things... idk its that famous line "gone but not forgotten" anyway awesome video man keep up the great work!
Tip for those working on the Eddie Retractorhead lost media search: When I was really young, I’d travel to Israel periodically(2010-2014). At night, the Nickelodeon channel would show old cartoons in English, so I’d stay up to watch them. I’m telling you all, Nickelodeon Israel SPAMMED the Eddie Retractorhead cartoons for a ton of nights. I probably seen all ten of those episodes, but I don’t remember that much about them. Somebody at Nickelodeon Israel or a potential Hebrew-speaking viewer still has them most likely
i think it's both; people tend to want to seek out media from their childhood and kid's media is less respected so it's not going to be archived quite as well. there's also a common trend of people trying to find media that scared them as children, and those things tend to get covered up and banned fairly thoroughly if parents complain, making it even harder to find
I agree. If media has a big impact on adults it is likely to be preserved by some of those adults, but content can easily have a large impact on children but no adult thinks to preserve it. So when the children grow up and think back to that weird media that impacted it might already be too late.
I *literally* just finished rewatching your other video on 30 pieces of lost media, now this excited to see what random and lesser-known cases you got in this video!
I prefer the lesser-known stuff. I really like that, in current day, I can be subscribed to multiple Lost Media channels, & they will all talk about completely different things. Having all of them talk about the same stuff & then dwelling on those same things for months on end was getting boring.

here's a fun borderline "dude trust me" story, but i was in the audience for Nickelodeon Splat! my and my dad went to universal a decent few times when i was younger and i actually got to go in. i think they just let people visiting the park get in. i was honestly more disappointed because i wanted to be on Nick Arcade or Figure it Out (which were rerun on Nick GAS) without having realized said shows stopped airing long before lmao. all i really remember is we did a thing where we passed a sponge along the seats.
I really appreciate that you jump right into the video, and each subject, without trying to stretch out time with repetitive intros or awkward slow speech.
The Disney/dish network games unlocked a memory. I remember playing most of the games back then at my grandma’s house. The one game I would remember playing a bit was the Kim Possible one. Those were some good times
It might have been mentioned before, but the lost jumpscare commercial sounds a lot like the ad campaign for the adult swim show "The Heart She Holler" It was a bunch of innocuous stuff that would end with a screaming pale woman. What is worse, the ad campaign would insert the woman into random other commercials. Usually for like a single frame. It was essentially a guerilla ad campaign purpose built to cause stories like this. (I dont think it did well since Heart She Holler was mediocre and barely remembered.) To my knowledge the ads only ran on adult swim, but there's nothing saying they couldnt advertise on other channels. Especially adult oriented ones like TV Land in the middle of the night.
The ad campaign was slick better than the actual show. It definitely was mediocre at best, not good enough to be good and not bad enough to be good either. Just meh.
Since you mentioned Adult Swim, I'm wondering if maybe it was a signal mix up between two stations. See, there was a signal mix up between Cartoon Network and TCM (both owned by the same company) where a segment from a movie playing on TCM was accidentally playing on the CN station. Some of TV Land's sister stations are MTV and VH1, so I'm wondering if a more edgy or wild advert meant for one of those stations was presented on TV Land by mistake, and since it was so late at night, no one caught it.
@@Account_Not_Applicable that’s what I’m stuck on. The heart she hollers matches the main description but not all the other details. The op said 00’s but this ad campaign is from about 2012. And with Nickelodeon TV Land being owned by Paramount and Cartoon Network owned by WB-Discovery the two wouldn’t have cross promotion for each others programming.
I remember the jump scare ad. The detail I remember was at the end after the spooky chick screams was like a loud heartbeat like your heart was racing and a black screen that said something that referenced it. Edit: just looked it up and apparently the one I remember is the car commercial. It was for some sort of energy drink. Seriously though fuck that shit lmao
The 2000s jumpscare one really seems like this one ad that used to air for the show "Masters of Horror." Same description and all. Got it a few times when I was younger and forgot about it until something like this makes me remember.
Not surprised that there's lost media from within my lifetime (2000 to now), but it absolutely amazes me that Pinky Dinky Doo has lost content, when I remember seeing it a lot on Nick Jr. (I'm pretty sure) when I was between 7-10, since the show was put on for my siblings, 2 and 5 years younger, not for me.
probably the most tragic factor to lost media, after something being destroyed or recorded, has to be the possibility it had the closest opportunity to be recorded but was not for the sake of saving tape, so now were missing a bunch of commercials and between show things :(
Something to note is a lot of advertisements/commercials make use of one-off, custom music created just for the video. When you Shazam it or search it up nothing appears. I can see 20 years into the future someone finding a recording and trying to discover who made the song. It will become “lost media” even though it technically always has been because it was just a one-off track probably produced by an unknown artist. Just something to point out.
that’s true but it’s still crazy to think a whole group of people (or probably at least 2) worked on that song, wrote the lyrics, wrote the music and then recorded and mixed it, someone, somewhwre knows every detail about it
It sounds like commercial music. I don't get the appeal with the song, it's mediocre at best. If it wasn't a one off commercial song, it was probably lost bc it was so unremarkable. Bc it is. 😂
11:30 I vividly remember this from when I was around 6-7 with my brother and mom. It gives me the weirdest vibes that that's lost media, I've never thought to find it again as it was pretty traumatizing for my age at the time.

wow, the jumpscare tv land ad. i think i remember this. TV land was nearby the kids channels on directv when i was little so i would occasionally end up watching whatever what was on it when i got bored of what was on the kids channels. Have a memory of something really spooky that felt really out of place for a rerun channel. Think it might have been that jumpscare ad. The description of the woman sounds familiar
This isn’t necessary my experience, but there’s one lost media that interests me, and there’s one lost media I’ve always wanted to talk about (I’ll separate it by number) 1. I’ll try to explain it the best I can, but I remember seeing someone commenting somewhere where they stated that they remembered a specific episode of road runner where it was revealed that the coyote that was chasing the road runner wasn’t the same one, and then he saw there were many of them. The reason why this one intrigued me is because it sounded familiar. I don’t have any memories of seeing this supposed episode, but for whatever reason, when I pictured the plot of this lost media episode, it felt familiar. Another thing too is that when I checked the replies, a couple of people either said they remembered seeing it, or they would say one of their parents/grandparents remembered seeing it themselves. 2. This personal one is somewhat related to UA-cam. So you guys know the 10 hour loop videos? SpongeBob for example has these loop videos that would loop a small moment or a random moment. I remember watching the one about 10 hour electric zoo about 3-5 hours in, I remember the music just stopped, and I wondered why, checked, and then I saw that for a couple of seconds was a picture of smile dog (not the “distorted” one). What made it creepy is that I wasn’t expecting to see it and the fact that it just popped out of nowhere made me exit off of UA-cam for a while. There was no jumpscare, no loud music/distortion of any sound, just silent for a couple of seconds (maybe about a minute?). Unfortunately the video is gone and no one can even find/reupload that specific video, but luckily a couple of people seem to remember it, but many people were scared of that specific part.
i remember watching the first one, on boomerang problaby recently as somewhere between 2016-2019 (on Brazil, i think thats relevant) pretty weird for it to be lost if im not misremembering lol
Hey! I remember that second one, I might have it saved somewhere on my old PC. I used to archive alot of random media clips, I'll see if I still have it.
yes, I remember the 10 hour Electric Zoo video with smiledog.jpg! I discovered it by reading people's comments, and I remember that one of them thanked the author of this video for giving him nightmares! It was around the middle of 2017, it was also thanks to this video that I discovered creepypasta stories. Someone found the original video and published it recently here with a very specific new channel: ua-cam.com/video/uDPbvlQq3BQ/v-deo.html
I was definitely watching TV land around that exact same time and I do remember something like that. It happened a couple of times! Every time I would see the trees and the calm scene I would run out of the room as fast as I could.
I had completely buried Mundo Toonix deep inside my memories and could not remember it at all just until now. Very refreshing to have an almost-forgotten memory reignited 😄 I remember getting home from school to play it on the family PC or my mom's notebook lol I vaguely remember an area that was always a little disturbing to me, it was some kind of flesh-colored cave, very creepy if you ask 8-year-old-ish me 😅
It also reminds me of a similar game called BoomBang, the page is still standing and all, but the game itself is completely unplayable, for me at least
I used to play it a lot too, do you remember that it used to get its servers disabled by 8pm (20:00) with a message saying something about that it was time to sleep and you would be able to play it again on the next morning
@@mschulmeister6519 Interesting, I actually did not know that because I don't think I ever played until that late, but it sounds like a cute feature 😆
I remember not being able to get past the map screen, it had a lot of black buildings and an orange sunset background. The Toonix were everywhere on Cartoon Network back then so advertising for this game was extensive
thank you for covering everyone knows that! ive been obsessed with this case for months and ive been constantly checking on it, ive been trying to get the word out there for a while now, maybe someone knows a thing!
I think I recognize this track. It’s the middle of a TV show’s intro - I don’t remember that much about it, other than it was a sitcom. I remember hearing this track channel-surfing once when I was quite young - probably somewhere between 2003 and 2006. That would have been on Adelphia Cable somewhere near Buffalo, New York, meaning this was likely something internationally syndicated. I don’t think I ever watched a full episode of the show, but the part of the intro this was from had a young girl in a princess dress followed by a guy that looked like Taylor Lautner with a green buttondown shirt and spiky gelled hair. I think he was the love interest for the show’s main character, and that the next shot in the intro was a woman and him kissing.
@@elphive42 interesting, I think we might have a lead, but if this were true, I’m sure someone might have recognized it. Do you think you could recall anything else?
The file date says it was recorded in 1999, according to the video. It could have been something that was syndicated for a few years. I think it was about hiding some kind of family secret - there was a young kid, a girl in her mid-teens, their mother, and a grandmother. (I don’t remember if there was a father, or if she was a single mom.) I think that the mom was a receptionist in an office, and that her teenage daughter was in high-school. I think the youngest kid was like 7, and would often cause shenanigans to ensue for the rest of the episode - I can remember tuning in to the channel and seeing her doing some silly nonsense to canned laughter. Like I said, I don’t think I ever watched a full episode of it. It was either on a channel next to one of the children’s channels on the cable box, or on a channel that had children’s programming on at a different time and family/teen programming on in the evening.
I can remember watching two episodes of 'The Hopkins'. One is about everyone trying to fight for the best seat at the dining table and the other is about the youngest child forced to get a bath at the most ridiculous way possible (there's a fire engine involved). They're both decent and not much structure compared to the rest of the programmes inbetween.
British person here, i fully remember playing The Cartoon works back when it was still online, plus i fully remember Titch as i used to watch shows like that on citv as a kid. hope they get fully found as they were a part of my child hood in the early 2000's-10's
Biggest regret of my life throwing away my old VHS recordings of Boomerang and Cartoon Network etc and it was only a few years ago, could have contained something lost forever on them :(
i dread to think how much lost footage is now in landfills rotting away, i remember as a kid going to skips sometimes with my dad to throw out old stuff and there'd be whole skips filled with VHS tapes, my neighbour was an eccentric hoarder with walls full of VHS's both taped stuff and legit stuff, i imagine all of that has been lost to the ether now as well
Holy shit seeing “My Bed Bugs” totally made me remember seeing it as a kid. I remember i would sometimes get bored of Nickelodeon and Disney so I would browse other kids show channels. I remember every so often seeing My Bed Bugs on Sprout (?) and being thoroughly horrified by it. Crazy to thing that some random thing from my childhood has become lost media.
I remembered something when you started talking about "what's the matter with this picture?" It seems the same, but it's a computer application. I was able to access it during the early 2000s. The application asks you to find the lady in red because there's a certain small percentage of people who can see her, and asks us, the players, to turn the volume up. The background picture is of a dark bar, I don't know if my memory serves me right. After a few minutes, a white lady jumpscares in front of the screen. I remembered playing it with my siblings. Boy! We screamed hard when the jumpscare appeared. We weren't expecting that. It was our first jumpscare. I've been searching for that application in the internet and found nothing.
FINALLY someone actually covers the “everyone knows that song”!!! I really hoped that lost song would grab attention for someone to talk about. this video is good!
@@Account_Not_Applicable there are so many lost songs, more than you can think of, music gets lost easier than you think it does ! so many songs fall into obscurity, and for multiple reasons too ! it’s a really fun rabbit hole to fall in so why not consider looking into it ?
The jump scare ad sounds identical to one I saw a lot as a kid, But after the jump scare the ad promoted some kind of comcast horror thing I know this ad aired quite a bit because I learned as a kid to switch channels anytime I saw the meadow shot or heard the music.
Wow...this is the first time I can actually help on a piece of lost media! The 2000s jump scare sounds like some commercials I remember that were used to promote a horror/crime channel on cable and satellite back in the late-00s or early-10s. I forget what channel though, but I remember the commercials.
24:26 I remember watching the Dinosaur Egg (the lost episode) episode when I was younger on the TBN channel (Trinity Brodcasting Network) I remember the egg looking similar to a Yoshi egg design except instead of white egg with green spots it was a beige colored egg and I belive green spots. But I also remember how all of the characters wanted to share a part of the egg and take turns with it and eventually the egg hatched. The odd thing though was that the station cut the episode earlier than expected, and I distinctly remember the camera zooming quickly on all of the characters faces in surprise and then the egg cracked and a golden glow appeared from the egg but I never saw what was inside the egg, I know the episode is titled “Dinosaur Egg” but I have no idea what type of Dinosaur or animal it was..don’t know why or how I remember it after all these years but its definitely one of those odd/distinct type memories anyone could have
pinky dinky doo! that show was apart of my childhood. i can’t even tell you how after all of these years, a specific part of a song from the cartoon has stayed in my head.
lost media makes me sad for some reason - an experience we shall never experience again, maybe. I will mention there is *alot* more lost media from the really early days of cinema, and I would say the vast majority of films created from before the 1930s or 1940s are completely lost, without hope of re-discovery.
Yesssss finally a new video! Shaii, your content is pure quality, you are my favorite lost media channel by far! Keep doing this great and awesome work! ❤️ Greetings from Brazil! 🇧🇷🇧🇷
Another really good category of lost media thats often overlooked are tv games that you used to get on sky. There was a platform called playjam where you could play games like lara croft and beehive bedlum. Theres one game in particular called ‘bumble tumble’ and all that remains of it is a single low res screengrab on a forum somewhere.
When I was in Jacksonville, me and my brother and my little sister would wake up and run to the TV to watch. The morning episodes are usually Sesame Street, but sometimes Pinky Dinky Doo plays. I loved that show so much. Soon, i forget about it, after moving many times. This video restored my own memories of these forgotten shows. Thanks.
3:38 This has always sounded like one of the songs from Jem to me, considering they made a ton of original songs (at least one per episode) for the show :)
I remember the Disney Channel Interactive game Phineas and Ferb River Rescue. My older brother was playing the game around 2011. It was about you playing as Phineas to what I recall a kayak or a unique invention Phineas and Ferb made and you must rescue Candice who was on a log or being dragged away on a river, it functions similar to the Microsoft Edge Surf game you can play if your offline. The background was a rough river and some obstacles. The audio to what I recall was water and Candice screaming from time to time. It was only later that I watched this video and remembered a part of my early time in life. Too bad it's lost media now...
I really like that, in current day, I can be subscribed to multiple Lost Media channels, & they will all talk about completely different things. Having all of them talk about the same stuff & then dwelling on those same things for months on end was getting boring. Oooh! I forgot about those CN interstitials. But when I see them again, I recall seeing them all many times. Achievement unlocked.
I have a lovely piece of lost media. A song I believe that would be titled “black sheep”. My dad was a musician, he recorded in abbey road studios in the UK. The demos they got were on vinyls which are grooved on one side and flat on the other, but one has a b-side. It was a song from another band that went unused or was rejected, which had scribbled marker over it, But the vinyl still plays in full. Haven’t been able to find anything about it though.
I'm so glad you mentioned My Bedbugs! i havent seen anyone talk about it yet. i used to watch it when i was really young, I'm really hoping the rest of the episodes resurface

Currently there hasn't really been any leads since like 2023, but I'm still highly thankful you've mentioned a lost media thing I started a few years ago.

Been binging your channel. Your voice is really relaxing and the topics are so interesting. I only really got into lost media recently, I love seeing all the obscure (Titch for example) TV shows and adverts from my childhood that I forgot about and seemingly the majority of the internet has. Thank you for taking the time to create thes long-form videos. ❤️
its so strange seeing so many british children's cartoons brought up, yet one of my favourite cartoons as a child that i use to watch on citv, is complete lost media and has never been mentions. it's like im the only british child that watched it. i'd love to write more detail and start a search for it, but im not sure where to or worried no one will care lol
@@cassandra1819 sorry i didn't mean to not respond, just forgot ^^; if there's a lost media related website I can write in more detail + all my findings, I think I'd prefer to share it there. however, i did manage to find one episode a while ago through a service provided by my University, and it looks like someone else was also searching for it because it's been reuploaded onto youtube, so it turns out i'm not the only one aware of it!
@@emilyoflynn no that’s not it, I know the name of it just nothing really comes up when u search for it. I did manage to find one episode but I want to make a proper post on it at some point. I’ll be sure to share it here when I do! I’m just a bit precious about it because I’ve been searching for it for over a decade hehe
man you just unlocked a core memory with 64 zoo lane, wish i was alive in 1994 to have had a chance to see the pilot, but as a 3-4 year old while it was running it was right up my alley
When you mentioned what Disney Channel Interactive was, it reminded me of stumbling across a channel on Bell satellite TV in Ontario at some point in the late 2000s-possibly early 2010s, but never knew what it was, and I don't even remember the specific channel number, although come to think of it there's a good chance it was channel 100, since this was around the time I was in kindergarten and could've easily found myself punching in a random number I liked onto the remote. My parents said it cost extra and told me to not do that again, and I don't remember trying it again after that day, where at most I might've played 1 or 2 games. Little did I know I was playing a game that there's a good chance I'll never see again.
There was a Cadbury chocolate commercial that had random stock footage before jumpscaring the viewer with a loud scream and the infamous photo of Regan MacNeil that was used in screamers everywhere. I don't know if it aired outside of Britain, but maybe that one guy saw that commercial with his mom.
Controversial opinion, but I don’t think it’s accurate the say that most of these TV shows are ‘lost’. Since the 1960s, very very few TV shows are lost- they’re all carefully archived, just inaccessible to the public. We know they exist and where they’re stored. Sometimes tapes are wiped or destroyed but it’s very rare. It’s totally different to stuff like flash games or unreleased video games, or even obscure old commercials, which are potentially genuinely lost forever.

Why does Lost media frighten me so much? Like i get shivers and tears, the part that strikes me the most i think is the "no one can find It" premise, or i don't know maybe the whole thing scares me, i've always had this feeling sometimes hearing random conversations with someone remembering and describing a movie scene or whatever, like when is this bug getting patched? Am I the only one here? It really triggers me the opposite effect of asmr
Everyone knows that is definitely not from the 90s, its probably from the mid 80s. The drums (especially the clap sound) resemble a Linn LM-1 or LinnDrum drum machine. I don't think its a commercial because I can faintly hear foley sounds (foot heel turns, on concrete, on rocks, etc). I'm guessing its from a coming of age movie or something from the 80s.
I have seen the jump scare add too. Except it wasnt an add. I was watching horror vids for no reason, and this was one of them. I know I saw this from 2018 onward.
I would also like to add (rewatching this 4 weeks later) at the end of the game once you were the boss, I remember you got to sit at a big ol’ desk and there was a Newtons cradle you could interact with
the cosi science center in Columbus, Ohio has an exhibit featuring the my bed bugs characters. I went there many times as a kid and always wondered who those characters were, and now I finally have my question answered lol. Ik the exhibit was up for at least a decade but can not confirm if it’s still there. It’s so weird to me that cosi would choose to feature such obscure, and frankly frightening characters so prominently and for so many years lol
I remember playing "Mundo toonix" with my cousin a lot back when we used to live in mexico!! there were a charater buliders and a lot of games based on cartoon network shows (I remember an Amzing world of gumball plataformer Although that might be from another website.) One thing though is.... I remember there were 3D models for some reason???? maybe that''s just me.
Very interesting and well put together assortment of cases. I find this type of stuff fascinating. It's crazy to think about how many things are forever lost. I have a case of my own to share, actually. It's probably very obscure because it's about brazilian media. When I was a kid, in like 2010, I remember playing a lot of games on the internet, and one of them was a car driving one, made by a popular cookie (?) brand in Brazil, called Trakinas. It consisted in emulating the player getting their own driving license (with a quiz that you had to be successful on), and then letting them drive around the neighbourhood. You could lose your driving license if you broke too many driving rules, like honking near schools and hospitals, going through red traffic lights, etc etc. I remember the game vividly. I tried digging around to find anything about it on the internet in like 2020, but came across empty handed. Tried looking through the wayback machine, also, but I'm not sure if I simply lost my patience too soon, but nothing of significance would load. I think I managed to trace the game back to 2007 in the Trakinas website, but since it was a Flash game, I don't think the odds are in my favor. Still have hopes, though. I've never seen anyone else talking about it during my research, and I'd think I invented the whole thing, if it weren't for my sister playing it with me when we were kids, and corroborating with my memories when I brought it up. I had good times driving around the town! I'd love to revive them again someday. It's strange how things can just be lost for forever.
I vaguely remember a live action educational kids show that was available on the childrens section on Charter On Demand (now known as Spectrum) around late 2000s. The show itself however, by the looks of it, probably released in late 90s-early 2000s. The show was about a woman and some weird large troll(?) who lived in a garden. The woman had black wavy hair, overalls and a pink top underneath, and the troll(?) was a giant yellow puppet suit (similar to Barney) with green polka-dots (and possibly a large mane of hair.) The set of the show from what I remember took place only outside in a garden, which was decorated with a large hedge with leafy arches and large sunflowers and the background was a pinky cloudy sky that was obviously painted. None of my siblings, nor anyone on the internet I've asked so far, remembers this show. I'm unsure of what country it originated from, or what channel it could've aired on because I only ever watched it on Charter On Demand, I've even gone through TV guide archives on multiple childrens networks and haven't found anything similar.
My only weird TV experience was when I watched "My litle prince" on MInimax at 10 something pm (I was 5 or 6 at the time), when it went to the commercials for some reason it gliched out to copy a bad looking Etno tv show (as the channel was before Minimax) and a Noriel (Im Romanian and this was a commercial for a tablet), the kids who were in the commercial looked creepy for 5-6 year old me and put my mom into confusion but not before the sound gliched out and put and ear piercing sound before my parents old TV broke and the TV cable popped for an unknown reason which my father suspected to be because of the cable being old and a rainstorm happened so that was all it was decided from the incident. This never happened again (as they changed the "popped" cable and it didn't have minimax) and that was my weird experience. EDIT: Im bad at english grammar and don't even get me started with experienced with advanced english so please don't be rude because of my writing.
I remember this lost online game I used to go on which was related to Trix. Think it was called something like Trix World. It was from around 2011-2012, and had a 2D perspective almost like a platformer.
A UA-camr named "Dream Jelly" made a video on Americas obsession with cereal. She might have a segment talking about it since in the video she talked about a different cereal game. Hopefully I helped
fuck yeah brother. my band is working on a shoegaze/pop/alt concept album mostly inspired by dreamcore, so when i saw the thumbnail i knew i was in for some writing material
I remember a nickelodeon series where I think two teams have to go through paint and the one with less paint gets the money prize. I remember watching that show on repeat because it didn't really have a lot of episodes.
The 2000 ad jumpscare was probably "Scary Car Commercial" I remember that one when I was a child I pissed myself another one doesn't really come to my mind
When mundo toonix appeared i was mortified I used to play that game all the time (the pc version and the mobile “pet”) during my virtual world phase (i played a lot of things like club penguin) Its such a buried memory in my head and i cant believe its lost
For the jump scare coffee commercial it sounds so god damn familiar to me. If I did see it, it was on UA-cam. Ever since I was a kid I’ve been into creepy PSAs/Commercials so the video I watched it from was either a compilation or someone commentating on it. As for what channel it was on I’m not entirely sure because this was years ago (in the mid 2010’s probably). I’m not sure how much this will help but if I am remembering it right it does actually exist and it very well may still be right here on UA-cam.

ppl explaining what lost media is can be helpful bc not everyone defines lost media the same way. one of LLSuperSonicQ’s recent videos kinda touched on this- he mentioned how some ppl don’t consider things lost unless there’s next to no proof it even existed in the first place while others consider something lost media even if the missing part is only a couple frames or a single scene (like the scene from spongebob where squidward turns into a snail or the infamous dennō senshi porygon pokémon scene)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Mark 1.15
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Hebrews 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Honestly never thought it'd recognize let alone have personally interacted with any lost media
same with me and mundo toonix, as a latino I never interacted with most of this type of lost media but that one caught me off guard because i played it so much
The world where we were raised doesn't exist anymore
How the fuck does the car add jump scare still give me chills even when it was so obscurely displayed in this video?!

@@romasp7 12:00 - Jump scare section.
It was one of the strangest things I have ever seen on TV, yet it instantly disappeared without trace.
huh.. that’s kinda crazy.
Any luck finding out more?
ok I'm hooked
commenting in case any info is found
unless other people remember this as well, is it possible it was a dream? i don't mean this in a disbelieving way necessarily, but given that it aired so late, i can think of a few things from my childhood that i dreamed about and was so convinced actually happened until i found out that they didn't. it's the source of some serious mandela effect moments for me lol
To me, the best part of lost medias is that feeling that even if something wasn't very good or didn't make that much success, somewhere in another time, someone will be trying his hardest to search and found this things... idk its that famous line "gone but not forgotten"
anyway awesome video man keep up the great work!
Tip for those working on the Eddie Retractorhead lost media search:
When I was really young, I’d travel to Israel periodically(2010-2014).
Hate don't hurt me whatsoever
I don't know if children content tends to be forgotten easier, or people search for this type of lost media more often.
i think it's both; people tend to want to seek out media from their childhood and kid's media is less respected so it's not going to be archived quite as well. there's also a common trend of people trying to find media that scared them as children, and those things tend to get covered up and banned fairly thoroughly if parents complain, making it even harder to find
I agree. If media has a big impact on adults it is likely to be preserved by some of those adults, but content can easily have a large impact on children but no adult thinks to preserve it. So when the children grow up and think back to that weird media that impacted it might already be too late.
I *literally* just finished rewatching your other video on 30 pieces of lost media, now this

The Disney/dish network games unlocked a memory. I remember playing most of the games back then at my grandma’s house. The one game I would remember playing a bit was the Kim Possible one. Those were some good times
I'm glad other people remember these games at least it's archived that way I miss them dearly!
It might have been mentioned before, but the lost jumpscare commercial sounds a lot like the ad campaign for the adult swim show "The Heart She Holler"
It was a bunch of innocuous stuff that would end with a screaming pale woman.
What is worse, the ad campaign would insert the woman into random other commercials. Usually for like a single frame. It was essentially a guerilla ad campaign purpose built to cause stories like this. (I dont think it did well since Heart She Holler was mediocre and barely remembered.)
To my knowledge the ads only ran on adult swim, but there's nothing saying they couldnt advertise on other channels.
Shoot I had totally forgotten about that. I remember being terrified
I remember loving that show, it's so sad to me that it has lost media
probably the most tragic factor to lost media, after something being destroyed or recorded, has to be the possibility it had the closest opportunity to be recorded but was not for the sake of saving tape, so now were missing a bunch of commercials and between show things :(
Something to note is a lot of advertisements/commercials make use of one-off, custom music created just for the video.

Have you checked out any of the Heart She Hollers commercials? They had similar ads and even had jump scares in other shows commercials randomly
I like that you talk about not so well know lost media because the famous ones have been already covered so many times
This isn’t necessary my experience, but there’s one lost media that interests me, and there’s one lost media I’ve always wanted to talk about (I’ll separate it by number)
The second one is quite interesting although I sadly can't really help find it
i remember watching the first one, on boomerang problaby recently as somewhere between 2016-2019 (on Brazil, i think thats relevant) pretty weird for it to be lost if im not misremembering lol
@@KingYoshiSurfer you find it?
I was definitely watching TV land around that exact same time and I do remember something like that. It happened a couple of times! Every time I would see the trees and the calm scene I would run out of the room as fast as I could.
I had completely buried Mundo Toonix deep inside my memories and could not remember it at all just until now. Very refreshing to have an almost-forgotten memory reignited 😄 I remember getting home from school to play it on the family PC or my mom's notebook lol
I vaguely remember an area that was always a little disturbing to me, it was some kind of flesh-colored cave, very creepy if you ask 8-year-old-ish me 😅
It also reminds me of a similar game called BoomBang, the page is still standing and all, but the game itself is completely unplayable, for me at least
I used to play it a lot too, do you remember that it used to get its servers disabled by 8pm (20:00) with a message saying something about that it was time to sleep and you would be able to play it again on the next morning
omg sometimes i forget i played this as a kid too. it was really fun somehow
@@mschulmeister6519 Interesting, I actually did not know that because I don't think I ever played until that late, but it sounds like a cute feature 😆

Ironic we can’t find the song but the name is “everyone knows that”
I think I recognize this track.
@@elphive42 wait no no I think they said it was recorded in the 90s or so
The file date says it was recorded in 1999, according to the video.
Cool! I hope episodes are found someday. It sounds interesting

But I also remember how all of the characters wanted to share a part of the egg and take turns with it and eventually the egg hatched. The odd thing though was that the station cut the episode earlier than expected, and I distinctly remember the camera zooming quickly on all of the characters faces in surprise and then the egg cracked and a golden glow appeared from the egg but I never saw what was inside the egg, I know the episode is titled “Dinosaur Egg” but I have no idea what type of Dinosaur or animal it was..don’t know why or how I remember it after all these years but its definitely one of those odd/distinct type memories anyone could have

lost media makes me sad for some reason - an experience we shall never experience again, maybe. Romans 6.23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
John 3:16-21
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

thank u for making the best lost media related content in 2023
I was listening to this at night while playing the binding of Isaac. And the game crashed at the moment the skeleton kid jumpscare was. It terrified me so much I had to sleep with a bear plushie just to keep me company.
Hi ShaiiValley! I'm actually the guy who started the Omega Weegee case and I want to say thank you for bringing at least a little attention to the case! Currently there hasn't really been any leads since like 2023, but I'm still highly thankful you've mentioned a lost media thing I started a few years ago.

I've never watched your channel before, but 5 seconds in and I'm already loving it
Been binging your channel.
What was it? I'm interested and I'm sure lots of other people would be, too! You should definitely share 💖
I'm interested
probably the raggy dolls, that's one of my favourite uk cartoons that used to air on citv, seasons 5 and 6 of it are lost media
Those Rimini Riddle puppets are unintentional analog horror
3:03 btw, just an update, the song has been identified by an eightie's Porno, apparently.
Do a lost merchandise vid . Like discontinued stuff that got pulled off shelves.
man you just unlocked a core memory with 64 zoo lane, wish i was alive in 1994 to have had a chance to see the pilot, but as a 3-4 year old while it was running it was right up my alley
64,64,64,64 zoo lane. still remember the intro song :)
I love these videos, your topic selection is always so unique
There was a Cadbury chocolate commercial that had random stock footage before jumpscaring the viewer with a loud scream and the infamous photo of Regan MacNeil that was used in screamers everywhere. I don't know if it aired outside of Britain, but maybe that one guy saw that commercial with his mom.
I remember playing the Disney Channel interactive games with my friends. The jake the dragon game was pretty fire
Ironic that the song called “Everyone Knows That” is a complete mystery
Controversial opinion, but I don’t think it’s accurate the say that most of these TV shows are ‘lost’. Since the 1960s, very very few TV shows are lost- they’re all carefully archived, just inaccessible to the public. We know they exist and where they’re stored. Sometimes tapes are wiped or destroyed but it’s very rare. It’s totally different to stuff like flash games or unreleased video games, or even obscure old commercials, which are potentially genuinely lost forever.

I can’t believe Pinky Dinky Doo is lost :( I loved that show as a kid
I thought it was only the pilot episodes that were lost
you should do a part 2! I remember having a game called Mino Monsters on my first iPhone and loving it to death, but it seems to have been almost entirely wiped from everything. I’d love to know where it went or how I could play it again!
It really triggers me the opposite effect of asmr
its like fear of missing out but the future version like post fomo lol
i get the teary eye thing as well!! it's crazy
Holy moly, I’ve been thinking about the cartoon works for years and I finally have found what it was, thank you so much!!
Got drunk, got distracted, came back in the middle of the rabbit hole.
What world am I in...?
I remember my stepdad telling me about station zero! It was a hell of a long time ago but damn, it’s surreal to hear it talked about
Everyone knows that song has finnaly been found 😂
I guess you can say there was an "explosion" of people that were looking for the song
THIS VIDEO RELEASED FUCKING 1 YEAR AGO IDIOT
I remember this lost online game I used to go on which was related to Trix. Think it was called something like Trix World. It was from around 2011-2012, and had a 2D perspective almost like a platformer.
Sounds like one of the mini games from Millsberry
A UA-camr named "Dream Jelly" made a video on Americas obsession with cereal. She might have a segment talking about it since in the video she talked about a different cereal game.
Hopefully I helped
fuck yeah brother. my band is working on a shoegaze/pop/alt concept album mostly inspired by dreamcore, so when i saw the thumbnail i knew i was in for some writing material
Man, mixing dreamcore with the idea of lost media would make an awesome concept for an album. Whatever you do with it, hope it goes well!
When mundo toonix appeared i was mortified
I used to play that game all the time (the pc version and the mobile “pet”) during my virtual world phase (i played a lot of things like club penguin)
Its such a buried memory in my head and i cant believe its lost
For the jump scare coffee commercial it sounds so god damn familiar to me.
If I did see it, it was on UA-cam.
Ever since I was a kid I’ve been into creepy PSAs/Commercials so the video I watched it from was either a compilation or someone commentating on it.
As for what channel it was on I’m not entirely sure because this was years ago (in the mid 2010’s probably).
I’m not sure how much this will help but if I am remembering it right it does actually exist and it very well may still be right here on UA-cam.
