No doubt he was a warrior and a good tactical warlord. But he is definitely a religious bigot who has killed Hindus indiscriminately. His charity to Hindu temple was PR stunt. Cannot be compared with Maharana pratap or Shivaji. But his battle tactics should be read.
His death was also pr stunt 😂where is has the chance to surrender but chose not to
there is no charity mate. im myself from mysore and he only donated our own money to stop revolt and rebellion. we used to hide our women when we heard he is in town. his men would kidnap young girls and would do nasty things with them.

Tipu fought just to save his kingdom and failed. Why should that make him a patriot in the cause of India's independence? Hitler, too, fought against the British. He did so, not for Germany but because they were a hindrance to his plan of enslaving the Poles & the Russians.

I am a Kannadiga myself, and yes, my grandfather always used to talk about Tipu. He is the one who contributed a lot to good reforms in agriculture, even establishing modern factories. He facilitated strong internal trades and contributed many gold ornaments and other items to various temples in Karnataka.
He always worked for the welfare of the people of Karnataka, irrespective of religions.He was not at all against Hinduism. In fact, he always used to wear a Rama ring and imprint the name 'Rama' on his Taj cap. He consistently gave the highest posts to Hindus; his deputy chief was a Hindu, his adviser was a Hindu, and the commander-in-chief of his army was Hindu. He always helped nourish Hinduism in his kingdom.We Kannadigas are proud of Tipu for his tremendous contributions to our state.

There is a village named Melokote in Karnataka where people don't celebrate Diwali because Tipu Sultan slaughtered thousands of villagers by blocking exit route of village and destroyed temple during Narak Chaturdashi .

As Hader Ali had alliance with France, France had with America, so when Hader won battle in 1780, and the message reaches America in 1781. They were overjoyed and also wanted to help Hader against British. But unable coz lack of adequate resources, they just became independent from British. But they kept a battle ship 🚢 as Hader Ali.
