Now finally you told us the story about your life before being a videographer! These bits of personal info make your videos... well personal. Like watching a friend. Looking forward for the next episode. All the best!
Thanks for taking us with you on your pilgrimage to windsurfing Mekka. I think so many people love your channel, because you put your heart at what you do. Wish you a great time !! 🤙
This is exactly the kind of travelogue that is devoured by your followers… A personal, honest and interesting story while filming the surroundings. You know how to capture the atmosphere well Paul. This will be another beautiful travel and event report! Greetings from the land of the Gazelle factory. Oh yes, Mauii is really great! And expensive so here’s a free coffee ☕️ 👍🏼
You are such an entertainer! Last video was just mesmerizing: footage was great but the production was gold. Thanks for bringing such good content live and make us dream. I’ve heard Maui is super expensive, so one coffee or beer is on me Paul! ☕️🍻 Enjoy your stay 🏝️
Such an inspiring backstory Paul and thanks for sharing it with us, wish you all the best for your future endeavours and keep us dreaming with some of the best windsurfing action videos there are, thanks a lot! 🤙🏻💙🤙🏻
US Customs can really mess you up if they think you are working and earning income without all of the supporting paperwork, and send you back. Glad you got in, it was not guaranteed! Thanks for sharing your story. Looking forward to hopefully awesome conditions and amazing videos and event commentary.
Love the Films Paul! Cool can’t wait too follow the story while you are on Maui, love all the behind the scenes and your back story. You will be sitting down at Hookipa watching the action with a cold beer all the best from UK🤙
The way you put this trip in the context of your life, the back story, is excellent. I always suspected that you had business success in your past. To have succeeded in two fields is inspiring. There is nothing like a night drive on Australian country roads to inspire introspection. Maui is a magical place, I am feeling jealous.
That’s great Paul. I’ve been a long time follower. You’re a great story. I remember the video you did outside your place in Sydney when you left. It was late afternoon when you did it and It all seemed so bleak and uncertain. I must admit, I was concerned about you and what lay ahead. It’s great to see where you are now and that you’re doing what you love. I admire you and what you’ve done. If nothing else, your work inspires this 52 year old 9 to fiver to get off my butt and get onto the water so that I can keep my mental health in order. Enjoy your time over there and all the best for whatever lies ahead.
Love the history on your yourney Paul. As a dutchie, a bit ashamed on how gazelle treated you 🥲.. but evereything happens for a reason and love where life has taken you and what you are giving to us windsurfers. ❤❤
Loved this episode with your history, have fun. There is something special about Maui, the atmosphere, green surroundings with tropical climate. And of course windsurfing in board shorts.
Thank you for sharing your background story, makes it so much more relatable! It's so cool that you can finally fulfill your dream of going there. I hope somebody will lend you their gear so you also get a taste of what it feels like sailing there! And I wish you an amazing time at the event & exploring!!!
Really interesting hearing about your work history. Your video has a very nice flow and feel. very engaging. Your Jaeger video was tremendous. Looks like you're going to have a fantastic trip.
Stoked that you've found windsurfing again. I was a passionate windsurfer all throughout the 80's until '94 when I moved to the Colorado Rockies. I started again last year after 29 years away. I am now planning a spring trip to sail either Bonaire, Porto Pollo or Lake Garda.
Interesting to hear a bit of background info, especially for a dutch windsurfer who grew up near Dieren (sorry to hear Gazelle pulled a fast one on you) and also lived in Geraldton for a while. Enjoy Maui! 🤙
Firstly there's drone footage, then there's drone footage by someone with a good eye like you. Secondly, from many trips there, getting off the plane on Maui and smelling the ocean in the terminal never gets old. Thirdly I loved Gazelle race bikes way back - when they used to build them. Shame they stopped making regular bikes but probably yet another miscue in addition to their Australian distribution debacle. Fourth, always have your paperwork for US Customs and Border Protection. Fifth, don't wait another 34 years :)
Awesome Paul!! You made the traveling part look easy........ Now you're in the land of the Starboard Tack!! Will you sail there? You kind of have to right!!
Thanks for sharing your backstory with us. Just a heads up. You may be geo-fenced at Hookipa due to the proximity to the airport. Also, the customs guy had no idea what he was talking about. You don’t need a letter from anyone to fly your drone. We do have a drone pilots license here for commercial work only. It’s called a Part 107 license. Just stick to the story that it’s for recreational use only. I think the hard part will be to get past the geo fence. Hookipa is within the inner circle of a class C airport, which is Kahalui.
Kool movie and so nice to understand a bit more on your history leading to this all. Gazelle is known brand for us Dutchies, funny to hear you convinced aussies tonE biking Besides that, my first city footage of Sydney. Normally i see only coast and windsurfing. You guys even have doubledecker trains
Paul: their will be not that much wind next week in Maui! It was very windy past few days, it was super windy on Wednesday and Thursday, after that the wind was drop…so, sad! But if you stay here for more then month, you will be catch the Hohokipa action…🤙🙏🏻
So let me get this straight - you live in what seems to be a windsurfing paradise and you still want to go to Maui... But I guess listening to your explanations it all makes sense. Also: US customs... ☹
Here’s the clip from Owen Wright - instagram.com/reel/DBE3O_ntnig/?igsh=M28zbDdxOWRrb2Rs
So hard to cope with these parents issues. I also have some of it, it’s life…
Now finally you told us the story about your life before being a videographer! These bits of personal info make your videos... well personal. Like watching a friend. Looking forward for the next episode. All the best!
There's a lot more but I kept it simple!

Alucinates imagenes. Y el comienzo fue muy grato escuchar parte de tu vida. Eres un grande Paul. Te deseo lo mejor. Saludos desde Argentina.
Great Paul, it made me quite emotional. It did make me laugh however when the first thing you see on Maui is a telsla truck 😂
Funny huh!
Good things come to those who work hard! Have a blast on Maui, Paul!

Btw Gazelle has the best Oma fiets. Had one when I was a teenager in Amsterdam
Picked up the Maui Glory Days book after watching this segment - awesome recommendation, I love that book!

That's how I feel about visiting AUS. Since I was a teen. Hopefully it will happen in the next 2 years.
Another great video. Feels like I was traveling too. How you do that??? Congrats for being in maui.
I really hope you get a sail in, it is th best place.
Welcome to the USA

Bin once at maui , recognizing the airport part. We did 3 islands, maui liked the most. Diamondhead very small beachfront less then 10m sand 😅
Omafiets! Lekker ouwe 🤙
🕯️Leaning tree
Now I'm remembering the Diamond Head float
and ride video with Crockett's theme playing. That must have been drone piloted by someone else?
Did you show customs your UA-cam channel? 😄
Nup ha
Drone video is awesome. Is it legal to fly a drone at Hookipa (far 101)?
I’ve got a license under the event organiser
So let me get this straight - you live in what seems to be a windsurfing paradise and you still want to go to Maui... But I guess listening to your explanations it all makes sense. Also: US customs... ☹
Haha
11:01....Lol...
BTW did you pin the video from Owen?
Just did!!
Customs wanted to make sure you weren't infected with Omikite or Wingworm.
Thanks!
Thanks!! 😍
Thanks!
Thank you!!!
