This map is gorgeous and huge! Im totally fine with these small little things u listed because I can only imagine how tough this shit must have been to do. Devs are humans too I hate how people hate on anything they can find but couldn't do what these devs have done
Can't be too hard to copy and paste the code which is what they had to have done since they ported over the same bugs that have existed in ASE for 10 years now. Real work would have been actually correcting their mistakes before publishing the 10 year old bugs.

For sure they are, and it does take time... but I also understand why some players are flabbergast by the amount NOT touched from ASE
This ones $5 next may be $10 and more powerful. The name of the dlc Fantastic Tames (plural) says there's more to come and on the community crunch it actually says its the 1st of many. Its not the paid dlc that's the problem. It opens the door for pay to win in a game which Wildcard has promised from the beginning will NEVER be pay to win. When asa came out we were told there is going to be no payed dlc's other than the mods and a surprise map mid year but here we are still in early access with multiple paid dlc's and more on the way recently announced (power rangers) which im expecting at least a $40usd price tag on (approximately $65 where i live).
I've spent more money than i can justify on my pc just to run this game. I've paid for a dlc that i cant use the main dinosaur on because it crashes complete servers if you build on its back and now there's a shoulder mount that you pay for that essentially makes the cryo nerf in caves invalid because you can use it everywhere. Also i may sound ike im complaining because i cant afford the dlc but i paid for this shadowmane reskin and its extremely underwhelming. You can use the dino pick up mod to do it with any of your tames and its free on ase and asa.
Sorry rant over lol this was a game i played daily and even used to stream (played ase for 6yrs before asa) and now im losing the motivation just to load in to feed my tames.
imagine the 5.4 engine upgrade comes out but it cost $25 for ark fantastic engines.

Some of these glitches were there from S.E. like the dry waterfall area. You can still go there in either game and it's there.
On any major project, I find "summer this year" can be as early as June 21 (technically the start, give or take a day for the solstice) or as late as September 21 (technically still summer as long as we're just before the fall equinox).
I think there is many other solutions or $5 upgrades they could have done as opposed to ruining immersion in the game. Oh, wow look at this badass dinosaur. You look it up, what? You have to pay $5? I'd of preferred something like a niche thing such as building skins, skin packs for weapons etc. Don't mess with the base game. Just add stuff people can buy for variance.
ur the reason why FPS shooters throw skins at the game and call it "content or Event"
I like the fact that it's a purchase that you can actually use instead of something to just to look at. And relax. It's a shadow main. It's just early and fire
They already did in bobs tall tales. Its essentially a skin pack with a dino but i think the oasisoar shouldn't be part of the dlc either because they roam the free world. Make the skins based on the maps theme and sell those instead of base game creatures. I paid for all the extra tek skins when they came out on ase without an issue but this is a bit too much.
Hope they fix the ice palace looking like a chunk of snow, with no snow or even the crystal. Also, wonder if the unreal upgrade will mean console will look better and even have footprints in the sand?
I really hope it would help make it all look and perform better!
I did not know the pyromane was on scortched! I think paying a small amount for a dino isn't to bad but like many have mentioned before it could lead to more greed and pay to win. Which is not cool considering we have paid for the main game and bobs tails. I support devs and anyone who has there hand in making the game and they deserve to get paid for there work.

@lucifervultklan7840 yeah I remember that. That was the same time unofficial servers had to wait like 20 something hours for the servers to kick back.
Real talk, appreciate the updates. I'm enjoying the chefs kiss immensely. However, I did end my last session stuck glitched in another mans bed. I just needed a short rest and he wasn't home, but ended up stuck in his wall upon getting up and had to log. Overall - I'm having a smashing time on the Center and looking forward to updates, as my system is under pressure to hit max settings and would be nice to see that optimization

Hmm odd we have several players on our Nitrado cluster playing on the consoles and have not had any issues
@Kodeations I crash then on reload I just get a black screen then dashboarded. I havnt been able to load on any maps but island, after months of playing fine.
I’m one Xbox 1 and been playing on the center on Nitrado servers.
I dont play pvp so it doesnt bother me ill just buy the creatures i want but for pvp i can see how it sucks hopefully this is the worst creature they add (most op gamebreaking) and you only have to spend 5$

The pyromane is the first link in the chain, if you wanna play pvp youll have to wear said chain.
Ark PvE is fine and should always be, but this just adds to amount of garbage and gatekeeping in Ark PvP.
I don't get it every time I'm online playing on ark in chat it pops up to go to the art store to buy dinos maxed out and supplies how is that not paid to win
They most definitely are not listening to the community lol are you joking? The community wants a cleaner better working game that we know and love, we don't want and no one asked for mickey mouse skins, trains, power rangers or different cryopod system. All they had to do was clean it up and get rid of meshing but their anti mesh stops beds from working and makes ratholes which is a huge part of the game and only way smaller tribes can survive completely useless and if you get to close to a lot of the in game textures you die and lose your while kit oh a not to mention that meshing is still a thing lol ase has more active players than asa because they don't listen to their community, if they listened to the community they wouldn't need to add all this pay to win because people would actually buy the game if they weren't running it into the ground, they literally had to put it on game pass just to get players which is why they're broke and are doing all these cash grabs
5.4 update is game changing for every game, it changes the game thread to multi threading for the 1st time

Hey maybe it will be playable cause so far i got so many bugs i cant play well in any mode. Single player crashes so much uou cant progress cause theres no autosave. Online ive lost 2 characters had all my favorited servers removed and cant spawn at any bed no matter where i put it.
This game could be free and id currently want a refund.

Turn off fog or cloud I cant remember which 1
R.volumetricfog 0 in the console commands
turn off fog is the simple solution. There's another command that makes all water effects disappear though, but I don't recall what it is. It makes it look like you're swimming in air.
The two commands I use IMMEDIATELY loading into a map or server is r.VolumetricFog 0 and r. VolumetricCloud 0 (Both of these commands will help out a TON to gain back from FPS and also allow for better visibility

Monetise skins for building for clothes even tree skins but not the core base of the game which is animals should be out and about, to kill you or for you to tame. Because these animals look like pay to win.

geta a desktop. laptops over heat. or get a cooling pad also play on low.

my 14inch 1.75kg laptop cpu and gpu never go above 65 degree on quiet mode while playing asa, wich is cooler by 30 degrees than a 13900k on dekstops
it depends on the laptop itself, if its a super cheap msi gf63 or a acer nitro 5 or gigabyte x5 or asus tuf ... they will overheat and throttle,since they use the cheapest cooling ever, other than those it's a different story

I guess you deserve to be dominated if you don’t want to pay FIVE dollars for a creature. Granted it’s ONE creature and that’s probably why it’s only $5 I think it’s worth it if this is the only DLC for The Center that also extends to Scorched Earth. I didn’t even know it was also on Scorched Earth I thought it was only for The Center. The fact that if it really has caused that much of a divide where we’re even calling FIVE DOLLARS “pay to win” you got some REAL issues not wanting to pay that cheap price tag for a awesome looking guy like the Pyromane.

The precedent for paid OP dinos is extremely concerning. This could easily evolve into outright itemized paid OP dinos. If it wasnt so broken nobody would care so much. But imagine if Manas were $5 when extinction dropped or astrodelphis when Gen 2 dropped. Anyone saying PvPers are crying because its only $5..... thats not even the main point. The point is that financial incentive for OP dinos behind a paywall has arrived. But yeah, sure, snails games will do the right thing and not milk it for everything its got... sure.

It’s not just about paying five dollars more for the game, it’s about requiring a better setup for PC or a $500 modern console. Consumers who believe that a product is not worth the price increase won’t pay the money.

@fornamessake I'm disabled and bought a series x with funds from playing mobile app game offers within 4 months.. While my financial situation is being figured out... with a job you can't tell me that you can't save 50$ a month and eventually have enough for it.

Same issues that ASE has always had how’s that even possible wasn’t ASA built from the ground up it just sounds like copy and paste with tweaks here and there AND WHY IN THE HELL are they having paid Dino’s spawn in the map makes no sense shouldn’t you have that purchased Dino’s in inventory automatically so not only you pay for dinos but still have to tame them 😂

They lied to us about it being a clean code base simple as that . They also lied when they said they couldn't port all of are official stuff from ASE to ASA. I know this because the same issues they had in ASE are in ASA same exact glitch spots and crap. It was a lie from the start.
