Thanks for watching! And thank you so much for the kind words, I really appreciate it! Yes, it definitely took a lot of work to put this video together, but I'm glad to hear that people seem to enjoy it! No, I didn't null test, I've steered clear of going deep into the weeds of op amp testing :)
Thanks for watching! Yes, with typical tolerances for the kind of parts used in pedals, slight value differences will most likely have a greater effect on the tone.
Hi Dan, thanks for checking out my videos, and thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it! Great to hear you enjoyed the overdrive shootout as well!
Would you consider, or have you already done it and I’ve missed it, a video teaching how to make a breadboard? Maybe even how to build one and what the components mean and do?
Thanks for watching! Yes, as I mentioned @ 1:00 the breadboard overdrive has been detailed in a 3 part video series on this channel! Links for the first two are in the description.
Can we agree that there's no significative difference? Maybe there's a bit less gain in the Japanese and Malaysian ones, maybe, but honestly, it's not relevant.
Thanks for always watching! I'm going to keep my mouth shut and wait for everyone else to comment, but I think "no significant difference" is a good way to put it :)

This is some excellent myth debunking, great service. Tons of work went into this. Much appreciated.
EDIT: Did you dare to null test?

Excellent video
Thanks again for the kind comments! Great to hear you enjoyed this video as well!
I bet that if you make two pedals side by side the differencees of the tolerances of the components will overshadow the chip difference in sound
