what might look like a success story on one side, in my opinion, this regeneration is wasted potential. We should have prioritised this area for 4-5 story mixed-use buildings, with undergound parking, ground floor for shops or other facilities and the remaining floors for residential use. We have seen increased pressure by wealthy developers to design the relict sites as they please with cars having a priority over pedestrians. It is 2021 and we see that cars are no longer sustainable and there should be better planning permission imposed by the council to create self-sufficient neighbourhoods with all the facilities, green spaces, not a car park wherever you turn your eyes, especially for the area like Longbridge with good transport links.
