I have a Facebook friend who constantly posts pro-Torah things, and especially things by Skip Moen... anyway, it's VERY DIFFICULT to talk about how the Law of Moses has been fulfilled, and that we're no longer under it, without coming across as, or being accused of, being anti-Torah or anti-nomian...

Yes, it is! Unfortunately, many "Torah observant" Christians are unwilling or unable to take a proper, balanced view of Scripture and instead paint everything in black and white. We've got a 1-minute video coming out this week that addresses that very issue.

I truly love your channel and have learned a lot. I have a very close family member who feels that the moral laws were never replaced by Jesus. Which in a way is true. They feel that the lessons and Galatians doesn’t count towards the moral laws from the Torah and therefore we should still have the Saturday Sabbath, stay away from pork and shrimp etc…, and that we need to continue to practice The Feasts and Festivals. They follow Armstrongism. What do I say to them?

Hi, Debby! Yes, the "laws" of God that define right and wrong were true long before the Law of Moses was given. So when God commands us not to murder today, it’s not because of the Ten Commandments. It’s because of His universal principle against murder. Long before God gave Israel the Law of Moses, Cain was judged for murdering his brother Abel (Gen 4:8-16). Same thing with sexual morality. Under the New Covenant, God doesn’t forbid adultery because of the Ten Commandments. Unfaithfulness and sexual immorality were wrong long before the Law of Moses, as we see, for example, in the story of Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen 18-19). Because mankind was made in God’s image, we have a “compass” of objective morality, so to speak, baked into our human DNA. And under the New Covenant, God's law is written on our hearts.
The food laws are not a matter of morality in and of themselves. They are a matter of ceremonial or ritual purity. It is, of course, immoral to disobey God about anything He commands us to do. But eating animals, for example, that were not ritually slaughtered is not a matter of morality on its own. God was just fine with sojourners and foreigners eating those things (Deut 14:21). They were only forbidden for the Israelites.
The Bible teaches that the Law of Moses was given at a specific time to specific people for a specific purpose. Much of what was given at Mount Sinai included God's universal "laws" about right and wrong and loving God, which were in effect long before the Law was given. But the purpose of the Law of Moses was not to set a new moral standard. It was to turn a ragtag group of recent slaves into the nation of Israel and set them apart for God. And embedded in those Mosaic laws of ceremony, ritual, distinction, and civil order were shadows that pointed to Christ. And it's _those_ laws that have been fulfilled by Christ and are no longer binding under the New Covenant.
I teach and believe that obedience is God’s “love language.” Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15). And I'm sure you would agree that not every command that God has given applies to every person at all times. Some of His commands only apply to certain people (i.e., men, women, parents, Levitical priests) or for certain times (i.e., building an ark, gathering manna, while in exile). And I'm sure you would also agree that we are each only expected to keep the commands of God that apply to us. The NT teaches that the ceremonial Mosaic commands do not apply to Christians today. (ex. Repeated blood sacrifices for sin are no longer required (Heb 10:18).) We still serve God and obey His commands, “But now we are released from the law, having died with Christ to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code” (Rom 7:6).
      Blessings, Rob

@@TheBiblicalRootsoh I'm flabbergasted, I can't read past this idea you just passed by this woman. That God changed His mind on adultery, that on the new covenant He's alright with it.
      Yikes!!!!!!
      GOD HATES ADULTERY PERIOD!
You obviously missed the part where Jesus condemns the woman to stoning!
At that moment, she was on deaths door!
The caveat was there was no one there who could cast the 1st stone. They may have all been guilty of this.
Jesus knew something was up, because where was the man that she was caught with!
When they all left, He had to let her go because He knew it was Torah to let her go!
It says there HAS to be 2 or 3 witnesses! That's Torah!
So she got off, BUT He warned her to not sin again. In other words don't be in an adulterous relationship again!
Paul gives us a list of the sin that leads to death and adultery IS on it!
YOU HAD BETTER STOP WITH ERRONEOUS TEACHING, BECAUSE GOD HOLDS THOSE WHO TEACH FALSLY TO HIGHER STANDARDS!

Even though I disagree with Prof. Solberg, I value his thoughtful and well done teaching on "Torahism", there are some very bad teachings on how to be a "Torah Observant, Messianic Christian", and its very important to stay grounded in God's written word, study well, and be loving and kind to one another even when we disagree. And the Professor does this well.
I had a brief yet friendly Debate with a person on TikTok who was very heavily promoting Prof. Solberg's book, and speaking his critical views on "Messianic/Torah Observant Christianity", in fact I thought for a moment it was the Professor, But, I'm sure he has better things to do with his time?, :) the Antagonist ironically deleted his TikTok account after our discussion, which was very odd to me. but it happens.
I look forward to viewing his material and examining the scriptures to make sure that for myself as a "Messianic Christian Pastor" my understanding of all sides of the discussion are well informed, well thought out, and well compared to the written Scriptures, thank you Prof. Solberg for your timely, and thorough analysis of the Scriptures, and of the burgeoning Messianic/Torah Observant Christian Movement, even if i disagree with some of your conclusions. @@OLskewL are you saying that those who choose to obey God by keeping his Commandments and his laws cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven? 🤣 who do you think the dragon is coming to make war with in the end days?

      ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭12‬:‭17‬
Jesus did come to fulfill the law. As well as the prophets! So if he did away with the law, then Shirley, he did away with the profits as well. The word fulfill is pleroo in the Greek which means to fully do or fully preach. And we can do them.

Those who claim against keeping God‘s commandments or laws don’t realize that they are teaching to live a life of sin since sin is lawlessness.
“Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.”

So, if all of the Law if Moses was discarded by Jesus, the Word (i.e., Torah, Prophets, Writings, Gospels, Epistles, and Revelation made flesh), then why did Jesus command people He healed to go and do what Moses commanded at the Temple?; why did Paul circumcize Timothy right after the Council at Jerusalem where they decided that new converts should be taught 4 basic commandments from the Torah?; why did Jesus never say one word against the Sabbath but instead reminded people that it's lawful to do good on the Sabbath? Let's say someone suddenly invents a teleportation device costing consumers only $1. Overnight all traffic laws would, indeed, be rendered meaningless ... but that wouldn't necessitate the abolishment of all laws governing other areas of life. Similarly, Jesus' self sacrifice on the cross did render all laws pertaining to the priesthood and animal sacrifice at the Temple obsolete, but that doesn't mean that all laws were so rendered. Indeed, in Hebrews 4 we read about the ongoing necessity of Sabbath-observance, not for salvation but, yes, for both our good and for obedience's sake (i.e., obeying God's behavioral do's and don'ts from a heart of love and humility is always valid, which is why, when Jesus explained who will enter and who will not enter His kingdom, He gave nothing more and nothing less than lists of behaviors, something that the Parable of the Talents also implies). Indeed, the last few chapters of Acts are all about Paul standing up against "false" accusations that, in teaching about Christ, he was simultaneously preaching against the Law. Paul's own behavior showed that he upheld the Law, even 14 years after his conversion and longer. In Matthew 5:17-23 Jesus upholds the Law, emphasizing how none of it shall pass away until after heaven and Earth pass away. I believe He was overstating His point in order to make it clear, just like when He told followers that, in order to follow Him, they would have to eat His flesh and drink His blood. Jesus knew full well that His death and Resurrection would render unnecessary part of the Torah commandments, but ... still, He wanted to make sure that no one would interpret future events as an indication that all of the Law had been done away with. Indeed, a better word selection for the Greek "pleroo" in Matthew 5:17, traditionally translated with the English word "fulfill," is "fully preach," "fully reveal," or "fully make known" ... translations that align much better with the context of the immediate verses, whereas "fulfill" does not fit. Consider: The Torah was the Word that Paul commanded the Bereans to test his teachings against. Lastly, I know that arguments from silence generally are not strong ones, however, it's simply true that in all of the places in the New Testament where one would expect to read words from Paul, Jesus, and others denouncing the Law and teaching a replacement doctrine, we simply do not find them. Again, Paul ended up in Rome ultimately to spread the Gospel, yes, but it all started with him having to stand before various rulers in defending his reputation as a Torah-observant Christian. A good video to watch is 119 Ministries' "Which Law, Paul?" on UA-cam or www.testeverything.net.

Remember the torah were the books that Jesus and all the apostoles used, and the all the disciples for about 300 years.

Thank you again for your teachings Brother Solberg. (I still need to catch your Part 2 interview w/M.Brown, I think his name is.)
Anyway, I've posted some of my short time experience w/the HRM folks a few times. I won't post the name of the man they were folllowing; although he does have a channel.
Or at least did the time I came upon him & to chat w/others you had to link in w/your email addy/phone# & give a real or made up moniker. It really bothered them, if when you logged on, you didn't sign in publicly or if you signed on as a "guest".
Anyway, when I came upon the channel, yes, as you've mentioned ... at 1st I was curious, etc. Oh I couldn't believe that I was celebrating Christmas, a "pagan" holiday to the HRM. I threw out all my Christmas decor & told my family that I no longer observed that particular day (the 25th).
One of the things that REALLY irked the "inner circle" of the group was that I was using Jesus' name instead of "Yeshua" or one of several names they used. I felt as I was pressured into changing my moniker from Jesus to Yeshua.
Also, at least 2 of them said Paul's letters gave them headaches, as well as calling "Christians" names or having a hatred of them.
Oh I could go on & on, but I'll just mention a couple other things.
They were really diligent about keeping the Sabbath or Shabat? (Friday nite to Saturday nite) & the Feasts, etc. So I stopped working on Sunday.
Although, where I live, there are no HRM temples or people that I could locate; so all of my "interaction" w/them was done online. And I believe a few other members only commun-
icated in this way, concerning their faith.
Concerning questions. Yes, if anyone came on to chat & asked SIMPLE questions, unless you almost immediately agreed w/the HRM teachings, you'ld be bombarded w/negative comments.

I notice an interesting trend in the comments section of this video. Those "Torah-observant" followers of Jesus who believe we're all supposed to keep the Mosaic rituals are bringing up lots of general arguments. But they're not responding to the 4.5 reasons presented in this video about why we cannot follow the Gospel of Jesus and the Law of Moses at the same time. I would love to hear someone who disagrees actually challenge the arguments presented here. Because if any of these five points is true, then the law of Moses is no longer in effect. -RLS

I found one article about the poem. It didn't quote the whole poem but It was an anti-Isaiah article, so no bias in my favour there.
Yes, Isaiah does condemn the literal drunkenness of the priests & prophets, and I can believe that Isaiah may have subtly referenced this poem in order to rub the message in - maybe.
But if you think that's all there is to it, I don't think it's me that needs to read the whole passage (chapter 28).
Firstly, whats the problem with the drunkeness?
It results in these people being unable to correctly discern the truth - see v7.
Secondly, it's far more serious than just literal drunkenness.
They are also deliberate purveyors of lies & falsehood - see v15.
Thirdly, Isaiah referring to them as drunks is also condemning of their unclean spiritual state, they are not only physical drunkards they are drunkards spiritually.
This is what v8 means when it says; "For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean."
(The Bible also uses filthy clothes to indicate spiritual uncleanness.)
If you think v13 is only about literal drunkenness and nothing else, how do you explain v9&10?
V9 makes the point, that in order to learn knowledge & understand doctrine you have to be a spiritual adult, not a spiritual baby.
And v10 explains how you get this knowledge & understanding of doctrine.
It says; "FOR", in order to learn knowledge & doctrine, "... precept MUST be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:"
It's not possible to make v10 about drunkenness, it's clearly about how God/the Bible teaches knowledge & doctrine.
      As v9 has already said, its about;
"Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine?"
Also if v13 is drunkenness then v10 would logically also have to be drunkenness - and that makes zero sense.
      Why?
Because that would mean, that in order to learn knowledge & understand doctrine (v9), God is recommending drunkenness as the best way to go (v10).
V13 follows on from v9&10 and states what happens if you don't follow the instructions already given in v9&10.
V13 is presented as the opposite of v10 and restates the instruction of v10.
V13 is clearly saying, if you don't follow the instructions of v10 you will: " ... fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken."
In other words you won't learn knowledge & you won't understand doctrine.
If you think simplistically, this is just about drunkenness and nothing else, you have not been weaned from the milk, or drawn from the breasts.
No, not Adventist, it's much worse. Will elaborate if you so desire.

Hello, Marcos!

@@OneSparrow-76 I think JeffSmith is talking about the “works of the law” as the yoke of slavery (Galatians 3:10). The works of the law are not the Law of Moses, but the law of men. But actually Gentiles who became Christians were instructed as to what portion of the Law they needed to keep along with the moral law, which is universal (Acts 15).
For historical purposes, we need to remember that at the beginning of the first century there was no Christian religion, but a branch of Judaism called “The Way” or Netzarim, which was made up of Jews and Gentiles (only later in Acts 11:26 they're called christians for the first time). Because of some Pharisee believers who wanted the Gentiles to keep the entire Torah, the apostles called the council of Jerusalem in Acts 15.
Returning to the present day, Jews from the Messianic Judaism keep their culture and the Torah, except for the laws of sacrifice (because Jesus has already completed in perfect form) and others that are fullfilled by the authorities.
The Body of Christ will be made up of Jewish believers and Gentile believers in harmony, loving one another as oneself. This is the Church.

It wasn't enough just to kill Jesus, there had to be a legal framework which made His expiation legally binding for all time. The problem the Torahists have is they are focusing on non-salvific portions of law (food & days), patting themselves on the back for it & missing the entire point of Jesus' death. They say their law-keeping activities aren't for salvation, but the ENTIRE POINT of the Mosaic covenant was FOR SALVATION. It's like missing the forest for the trees.

The law was added to highlight humanity's need for a Savior and to make people aware of their sinfulness. Before the law, sin was still present in the world, but the law made it explicit and undeniable. Paul explains that the law was given so that "the trespass might increase" (Romans 5:20). This means that the law was designed to expose sin and make people conscious of their need for God's grace.
In Galatians, Paul further clarifies that "the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith" (Galatians 3:24-25). The law served as a temporary measure to guide people until the coming of Jesus, who fulfilled the law and offered a new way of righteousness through faith.
Additionally, the law was never intended to be a means of achieving righteousness. Paul states, "For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law" (Galatians 3:21). Instead, the law pointed out humanity's inability to achieve righteousness on their own, thereby pointing them to the need for a Savior.
In summary, the law was added to reveal sin, to act as a guardian until Christ, and to show the impossibility of achieving righteousness through human effort (Romans 3:20, Galatians 3:19).

After experiencing a conviction, we decided as a family stop doing pagan holidays and birthdays last year. The "slippery slope" is just fear-mongering. Jesus clearly said to live on EVERY word that comes from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). And he warned against setting aside even the LEAST of God's commandments (Matthew 5:17-20). To "fulfill the Law" means to fully-preach it. In short, following the Gospel of Jesus IS following the Law of God/Law of Moses. And Paul said in numerous places that Torah defines sin, such as in Romans 2:13, 3:20, 7:7, and that we keep Torah (eg: Romans 3:31). Of course, the fact that most of the justification of rebellion comes from quoting Paul rather than Jesus proves that Paul is more important to Church doctrine than Jesus.
Deuteronomy 13: You either keep God's Law or your are practicing idolatry.
Deuteronomy 12:32: Do not add to God's commandments or take away from them.
There are two types of commandments in God's Law: (1) How to love God. (2) How to love your neighbor.
    (1) Every sacrifice was still offered by the first century believers EXCEPT for the sin offering. Are you sure you aren't conflating other types of sacrifices with the sin offering? I have never heard anyone say that the SIN OFFERING would be offered once again. By the way, sin offerings are NOT necessary for the forgiveness of sins, as evidenced by not only the laws concerning the sin offering (flour is an acceptable offering), but also by the fact that numerous people (eg: King David and the many Jesus explicitly forgave) were forgiven without any sort of sin offering being given, among other things that imply or state that there will be forgiveness without ANY mention of a sin offering.
    (2) Might want to look up the word translated as "change" in Hebrews 7:12. The word translated as "change" actually means "transition". The Law is eternal (Psalm 119:160) and therefore cannot be changed. You also might want to look into the fact that King David also performed the priestly duties. And it's rather interesting that you would go this route rather than the much more biblically-grounded route of the fact that there is no Levitical priesthood in place AT ALL. Also, you should look into what the Law of God says is required to be in place to be able to legally offer ANY sacrifice.
    (3) So God removing the temple and the Levitical priesthood somehow makes Torah Observance incompatible with faith in Jesus? All that ACTUALLY means is that it is now sinful to offer any sort of sacrifice, since it now is impossible to be done within the system of the priesthood. Anyone who is ACTUALLY following Torah will NOT be offering any sacrifices because it is SINFUL to offer sacrifices apart from the system.
    (4) Remind me again, who's trying to sew the veil back together? All you're doing is showing your ignorance of Torah. If God does everything in accordance with Torah (which he does), then when he wants to put a new system in place, he has to remove the old system, so that it now becomes SINFUL to do things that require the old system to be in place.
(4.5) Here is where you prove that you and others like you are the ones that Peter is warning against in 2 Peter 3:16. Paul is not against circumcision. He's against using circumcision as a means of salvation. Besides, how can Paul saw that we uphold the Law (Romans 3:31), that the Law defines sin (Romans 3:20, 7:7), and that we slaves to righteousness (Romans 6:18) which is defined as obedience to the Law (Romans 2:13)? Also, where does the Law say that a man is required to circumcise himself? Good luck trying to find that command, because it's not there. And why did Paul circumcise Timothy after seemingly stating that it alienates us from Jesus, and implying that it is unforgiveable? If Paul (or even Jesus or anyone else) is speaking against something that APPEARS to be contrary to Torah, it is either (a) they are speaking against Torah and are false teachers, or (b) they are speaking against a misinterpretation of Torah and speaking against HUMAN RULES. And by the way, why does James call the Law "the Law of Liberty" (James 1:25, 2:12)? Good luck resolving that apparent contradiction.

      1. Sorry, I'm not clear on which part of point #1 you disagree with. Do you disagree that, under the Law of Moses, annual animal sacrifices were required of Israel for the atonement of sin? Or that animal sacrifices are no longer required for the atonement of sin? If you affirm both statements, then you and I agree that the Law of Moses is no longer in effect.
      2. The word "change" in Hebrews 7:12 is μετατιθεμένης, which comes from μετατίθημι. which can mean (1.) to put in another place, transfer, (2.) to change or alter, (3.) to change one's mind, turn away, desert. The question then becomes, which of these possible meanings is intended in verse 12 based on the context? And even if we use the definition of "transfer," it still results in a net change to what was commanded in the law of Moses.
      3. Yes exactly! It is now impossible to keep the law of Moses and follow Jesus at the same time. That's the whole point of this video.
      4. Yes exactly! You stated it beautifully. When God "wants to put a new system in place, he has to remove the old system, so that it now becomes SINFUL to do things that require the old system to be in place." This is why we can't keep the law of Moses and follow Jesus at the same time.
4.5. Sorry, I'm not clear on which part of point #4.5 you disagree with. Do you disagree that, under the Law of Moses, circumcision was required of all males? Or that physical circumcision is no longer required? If you disagree that circumcision is no longer required, you will be hard-pressed to explain Galatians 2:1-10 where Titus was not required to be circumcised. If you affirm both statements, then you and I agree that the Law of Moses is no longer in effect.

      1. It was NEVER the case that sacrifices atoned for sin. Even if that WAS the case, Jesus being the sin offering does not nullify God's Law, but is done in accordance with God's Law. There would still a sin offering as the Law requires, but what is offered has changed. If God's Law no longer applies, then Jesus died for NOTHING. I'm sure you're familiar with what Paul said about No Law = No Sin.
      2. If there was a change in God's Law, then that would (a) prove Psalm 119 false, and (b) prove Deuteronomy 12:32 and Deuteronomy 13 false. Or Deuteronomy 12-13 would prove Hebrews 7 false. Deuteronomy 12:32 prohibits any sort of change in the Law from happening, and Deuteronomy 13 defines rejecting/ignoring/changing the Law as idolatry. The transfer cannot in any way change the Law.
      3. You just proved that you do not understand Torah. Or the implications of the Deuteronomy 13 Test.
      4. How does not offering sacrifices because the priesthood is no longer in place, which is OBEDIENCE to what the Law requires, in any way prove that Torah observance is mutually exclusive to following Jesus, who told us to obey the Law of God? You are OBEYING the sacrificial laws in Torah without even realizing it!
4.5. Torah does NOT have any command requiring a man to circumcise himself (unless he wants to eat the Passover). The command is to circumcise every male child born to you on the 8th day. But it NEVER required any man to circumcise himself. Paul is NOT teaching against what Torah demands concerning circumcision. He's teaching against a HUMAN RULE concerning circumcision. The Law is still in effect, but because you don't know what it requires (or in this case, does NOT require), you interpret Paul in a way that makes him a false teacher. By the way, Paul encouraged believers to eat the Passover meal.

If anyone teaches others to not keep the Law, then according to Deuteronomy 13, they are teaching people to follow another god.
      3. So you admit that you fully-understand that the Deuteronomy 13 Test would prove that Jesus and Paul are false teachers worthy of the death penalty had they been teaching what you claim they are teaching.
      4. From 30 AD (death & resurrection of Jesus) to 70 AD (the disbandment of the Levitical priesthood), we had both the Levitical priests and the Body of the Messiah as priests. Oops!

      @@TimothyChapman Hi, Timothy!
      1. Atonement is a very Hebrew concept. It's the reason God requires blood sacrifices on the altar in the law of Moses.
      2. Technically, the law of Moses did not change. It came to an end. Which is why we can now have a high priest from the tribe of Judah, rather than Levi.
      3. See #2. Also, if Jesus had said anything that the Jewish religious leaders felt violated the Deuteronomy 13 test for a false prophet, they certainly would've mentioned it! But they never did.
      4. Yes, this is called a liminal state; one system was winding down while the other was starting up. But from the moment of Jesus's resurrection, the New Covenant had begun, and the temple services were no longer required, even though they were still being carried out.
      5. Paul and the other disciples were free to do any sort of Mosaic ritual they wanted because those things were never forbidden or prohibited. For followers of Jesus, they are permitted but not required. (See 1 Cor. 9:20-23)
All glory to Jesus! "But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code" (Rom. 7:6).

When I ask them about all the work that they do on Saturday in setting up tables and chairs, cooking lunch, cleaning pots and pans after lunch, sweeping in mopping floors after Shabbat and I mentioned that I believe that is classified as “work“, they don’t answer it. In other words while they say that they are keeping Shabbat, according to Torah, I really don’t believe that they are. And while claiming to eat “biblically clean“, they eat in restaurants that cook pork and shrimp on the same grill that their chicken was cooked on. And they purchase deli meat, such as beef and chicken, but it is cut with the same meat cutter/slicer that the ham is cut on. These are legitimate questions. @@kimartist 《Sabbath long preceeded "Moses." God began His Sabbath rest on Day 7 & has been resting ever since. See Hebrews 4 to understand why every day is Sabbath for those who believe.》
You say, "God *began* His Sabbath rest on Day 7"
God says, "he *rested* on the seventh day" (Genesis 2:2)
God says, "he *had rested* from all his work" (Genesis 2:3)
You say, God "has been resting ever since"
God says, "My Father works hitherto, and I work" (John 5:17)
If you are teaching people to break God's laws, you are a believer of someone but it's certainly not God.
Even the very title of this video is a deception & a lie.
"Why we cannot follow the Gospel of Jesus AND the Law of Moses at the same time"
The law of Moses is the law of God. It's the law God gave to Moses. It's not & never was Moses's law.
      Therefore an honest title of this video would be;
"Why we cannot follow the Gospel of Jesus AND the Law of God at the same time"
So it's a choice of follow Jesus or follow God is it?
I have some bad news for you.
When Jesus returns he intends to enforce, what you deceptively call, the "law of Moses".
Now, why would that be do you suppose?
      Zechariah 14:
16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the Lord will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

@Vincent-gc3cuJesus addressed the Sabbath, he taught us when to worship, how and why. He talked about how the preists profaned the Sabbath and how he was Lord of it. He also said, true worshipers would worship in spirit and truth. Not law. Read Galatians 5 :18 and 23. He said we are the temple! Where 2 or more are gathered in his name he is in the midst. Everyday is the Sabbath as in everyday we keep holy, not just on Saturday. Not only did Jesus fulfill the law, he said we fulfill all of it when we love each other. Again, see galations and almost the whole book of romans. Love is the fulfillment of the law. But should only be done an Saturday, lol. Just kidding. If you only worship on Saturday, what do you do the other 6 days?

Yes you can follow the grace of Calvary and Torah too. In fact the terms of the renewed covenant is, " I will write My Torah ( which is the law ) on your heart."
    Jeremiah 31:31-34
Isaiah 8:20 says it best. " To the law ( Torah ) and the testimony of it ( Messiah) if they speak not according to this, there is NO LIGHT in them."
Grace should be combined with Torah. Jesus kept the Torah and so did Paul. Don't we realize that sin is transgression of Torah? 1John 3:4. Can we continue to sin after receiving grace from Calvary? Hebrews 10:26-29 says we cant. This is why David penned the words of Psalms 119:11. " Thy word/Torah have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee."
Torah is instruction on how to live a Holy lifestyle. It's how YHVH desires us to worship Him. It's all about love and obedience. " If you love Me, keep My commandments". Again 1 John 5:3. He who says they love me and keeps not My commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him. 1John 2:4
Again, Jesus kept His Father's Torah and 1John 2:6 says" He that says he remains in Him ought himself to walk as He ( Jesus ) walked."
Torah is not a bad word. The law is not a bad word. It's how YHVH GOD desires worship. Obedience in love to Torah after salvation is our worship to YHVH and His Son for His salvation.
We don't keep Torah to earn salvation. We keep Torah from the heart AFTER salvation because it's what YHVH asks us to do. " For this is love that you keep My commandments." 1John 5:3
For the gentile? Absolutely says Paul in Romans 2:12-16. Paul teaches us in Hebrews that there was a CHANGE in the law when Calvary happened.
    The sacrifice changed.
    The circumcision changed.
    The High Priesthood changed.
But Torah never disappeared for the Jew or gentile. Jesus tells us this in Matthew 5:17-19
Christians must return to the Torah that they think has passed with Calvary. Last time I looked heaven and earth is still here. We don't keep Torah to earn anything. We keep Torah because it's written on our hearts out of love from what was accomplished at Calvary.

Hi, Cos!
      Shalom, RLS

Dang, you must always hang out with the wrong group of Hebrew roots/Torah observant people!
Anyone on the RIGHT track KNOWS that observing Torah is NOT to earn salvation or God's approval in any way, shape, or form. What can we do to earn more of His love????? NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Torah is God's Instructions to His Family of how His Family should act AFTER they have become part of His Family by their faith in Him.
For example: Your children do not earn their place in your family by obeying household rules; nor do they get kicked out of the family by not obeying household rules. The neighbor kids cannot earn a place in your family by obeying your family's household rules. The parents do not hold their infant children responsible for the household rules at that stage, but teach them as the children grow.
Here's another example. If Johnny joined the Boy Scouts, he can earn merit badges as he completes the activities required. If his buddy decided to join Johnny in doing those activities, he would learn a lot of skills. But at the end of the day, or at the next Scout meeting, Johnny's buddy would not receive any merit badges. Because he never took the oath to join the Scouts to begin with!
Torah is NOT for unbelievers. Torah is NOT a way to enter God's Kingdom.
The apostle John tells us if we are not follow God's commands, we do not love Him.
What are His commands? Are they now different from Torah? Do you not know how to differentiate which Mitzvah of Torah is applicable to which group of people?
[1Jo 2:3-6 CSB] 3 This is how we know that we know him: if we keep his *commands.* 4 The one who says, "I have come to know him," and yet doesn't keep his commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps his word, truly in him the love of God is made complete. This is how *we* know we are in him: 6 The one who says he remains in him should walk *just as he walked.*
How did Yeshua "walk?" (Surely you know "walk" is the Biblical term for carrying out God's Instructions....?)
Yeshua could not have been the promised Messiah if He had broken Torah.
Yeshua kept Torah. And surely you understand the concept that "keeping or guarding" Torah is not exactly the same as "doing" Torah...? SH.M.R (Hebrew root "shamar" for keeping/guarding) Torah does not mean every person has to do every thing, but honoring/esteeming/respecting Torah and allowing those a particular command is applicable to to do that command.
What did Yeshua Himself say? [Jhn 14:15 ESV] 15 "If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
Again, What are His commandments? Are they now different from Torah?
I have been following/involved in "Hebrew Roots" since 2014 when God led me to a pastor that could connect the dots between the Hebrew Scriptures and the Apostolic Scriptures. After listening to many sessions, I began to see how it all fit together. I was raised in the church and thoroughly know Scriptures. I investigate both sides of an issue to see which lines up with the Word of God more.
No one that I rely on in this arena teaches remotely what you accuse Hebrew Roots/Torah observant people of.
I guess you've gotten in with the wrong crowd. 😆🙃😉🤣

Disproving your first point disproves them all.
    1) Atonement-
YOU SAID: God requires burnt offerings and sacrifices.
    GOD SAYS in -
    (Jeremiah7:21-27)
1Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh. 22(((For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:)))23But this thing commanded I them, saying, ((Obey my voice, and I will be your God,))and ye shall be my people: and ((walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you,)) that it may be well unto you. 24But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, ((but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.)) 25Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them: 26Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.
27Therefore ((thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee:))thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.
    (((Yashawn)))
God disagrees with you: God proclaims that it was not him that commanded the Israelites to walk in the ways of sacrifice in the day that he led them out of Egypt -
Which would be in the times of Exodus, and Leviticus.
Now lets see what king david has to say pertaining to this-
    ((Psalms 40:6-10))- king david
(6Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.)
7Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
8I delight to do thy will, O my God:( yea, thy law is within my heart.)
9I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.
10 (I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation:) I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.
    (Yashawn)
We can see the King David also knew that God did not require sacrifice, he even proclaimed it to the congregation, he says the law of God is within his heart And then declared the true ways of Salvation pertaining to God- Which is no sacrifice.
(((Paul took this very text and twisted it back into a blood sacrifice text))- proof.
    ((Hebrews 10:5-7)) paul
5Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
6In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
7Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
    ((Yashawn))
Here we can literally see Paul taking a text that is approved by God ,and then paul changed it to mean the opposite.
You are not allowed to change the words of God, especially when it renders a new context.
    ((Yashawn))
God never commanded the ways of sacrifice, so he never commanded the way of Christianity- why? because sacrifice is the backbone of Christianity.
If I need to give more proof to anybody - I'm more than happy to, there is plenty more.

Rob, as you already know that I follow all of your presentations, from just the topic alone I’m responding
There’s no such thing as the gospel of Jesus and the Law of Moses
It was Jesus who GAVE the Law
It was Jesus who ESTABLISHED the Law
It was Jesus who showed us how to KEEP the Law
And it was Jesus who DECIDED the or it was his idea, there’s only one way of salvation.
David said : I DELIGHT TO DO THY LAW O GOD (not Moses) and David was called the man after God’s own heart, was Paul more righteous than David? They are the same in the sight of God and Paul cannot speak against what David have said.
The Law is a guideline in how Jesus wants us to live
Seth, Enoch, Noah, Elijah, Elisha and Moses kept the LAW (the Commandments) and they were all found righteous in the sight of God so why can’t we keep the Law also and be righteous in God sight.
    The Law is HOLY
    The Law is JUST
    The Law is GOOD
    The Law is DELIGHTFUL
Moses couldn’t create anything HOLY JUST GOOD and DELIGHTFUL? So it cannot be the Law of Moses
    Psalm 19:7-14
The Law of the LORD (not Moses) is PERFECT
The Commandments of the LORD is PURE.
    Converting the souls and
    Enlightening the eyes, respectively.
Psalm 119: 105 “ THY WORD (God’s Word not Moses) IS A LAMP UNTO MY FEET AND A LIGHT UNTO MY PATH”.
    Compare that with
Proverbs 6:23 “FOR THE COMMANDMENT IS A LAMP AND THE LAW IS LIGHT.
For not to keep God Commandments and Law is to walk in darkness.
Hear what Isaiah 8:16 says “BIND UP THE TESTIMONY, SEAL THE LAW AMONG MY DISCIPLES. ( New Testament or Covenant)
Same chapter vs 20 “ TO THE LAW AND THE TESTIMONY IF THEY SPEAK NOT ACCORDING TO THIS WORD, IT IS BECAUSE THERE IS NO LIGHT IN THEM
Hebrew 4:1-2 THE GOSPEL IS PREACH UNTO AS US AS WELL AS UNTO THEM. There is only ONE GOSPEL ONE LAW ONE BAPTISM ONE HOD AND FATHER OF ALL
Why is something so LOVELY and so BEAUTIFUL is not for Christians?

Wow..I don't know where to start. This is messed up in so many ways. Major note tho..funny you mentioned the sacrifices, temple and priests and yet haven't thought about the irony. Yeshua said not one jot or tiddle shall pass from the Law till all is accomplished (which it hasn't) and yet those three things are no longer around today. Hmm..makes you wonder if those three things were ever commanded to begin with. The priesthood added a lot to Torah especially in Babylon captivity and if it doesn't match YHWH's character it should be questioned. Especially since many prophets mentioned sacrifices never being commanded.. Jer 7:22-23 for example. Two temples destroyed and priests and scribes with their pride. Look up Jer 8:8 "and the lying pen of the scribes". If you think the bible is the definitive Word of YHWH maybe you should look into it more often and ask "why?"

I would like to hear your opinion - what exactly is the "Law of Moses" - i.e what laws are included and what are not, and most importantly what is the reason for that statement. I have personally found that there are some important verses that need to be correlated between Gal 3 and Ex 24. There were laws given that were part of the covenant, the people heard these accepted them , then the book of the covenant was sealed, blood was sprinkled and the covenant confirming meal was eaten, that basically seals that agreement. AFTER this, God calls Moses up on the mountain again and gives him the tablets and "the Law" and the commandments to "TEACH THEM". This cannot be part of the covenant, since it cannot be added to as Paul explains in Gal 3. This is the school master part that we are no longer under - and it agrees well with the points you raised here in this vid. However the feasts, Sabbath, 10 commandments have nothing to do with re-conciliation, those are instructions in righteousness, if you chuck these out as part of Moses law, or of ceremonial stuff, you are basically sinning.

For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto THEM: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. HEB 4:2 WHO IS THEM?????

How about Christianity has been so dumded down without much meaning other than getting saved. Torah study has far more meaning about what it means to live. Torah is not in any meaningful part of Christian faith. Thats why serious Jesus followers are interested in the Jewish Messiah.

Hi, while i agree with what is taught in the video, and it is a fact that the levite priesthood ended, I read today Numbers 25:13 God promises, Pinehas, the grandson of Aaron, that his decendants will have the priesthood eternally/perpetually (Strong H5769 - עוֹלָם עוֹלָם - `olam) for his zeal. How can that be reconciled? Maybe with the priesthood of each christian and its almost certain that some of his decendands became christians? Also he didnt get promised the high priesthood for eternity. Or maybe there is a priest of the same name the son of Eli who brougth wrong fire on the altar, but it isnt explicitly said that this ends the levite priesthood, so personally i would say the first explanation is the better one, as the perpetual priesthood of Pinehas decendands isnt bound to a condition in this passage.
10 The Lord said to Moses, 11 “Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, the priest, has turned my anger away from the Israelites. Since he was as zealous for my honor among them as I am, I did not put an end to them in my zeal. 12 Therefore tell him I am making my covenant of peace with him. 13 He and his descendants will have a covenant of a lasting priesthood, because he was zealous for the honor of his God and made atonement for the Israelites.”(NKJV)

You may want to rethink what you have concluded.
    Zachariah 14
    Isaiah 66
    Ezekiel 46:12 (KJV)
Now when the prince shall prepare a voluntary burnt offering or peace offerings voluntarily unto the LORD, [one] shall then open him the gate that looketh toward the east, and he shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, as he did on the sabbath day: then he shall go forth; and after his going forth [one] shall shut the gate.
Unless you can show where GOD has changed HIS mind .
And now Israel is not HIS Holy Land .
Where all Nations will come up and worship,
On the feast of Tabernacles and on the Sabbath.

You can try to 're-imagine' the Word of the Hebrew Messiah of Israel, but you cannot divorce yourself from the Heart and Soul of The Scriptures and remain in covenant. There is Echad (One) Bride, and she looks like Israel. Not the nation state of today, but the Israel which YHWH has defined. The covenant promises and requirements remain upon the Seed (singular) of Abraham. The Way has not changed, the Truth has not changed and the Life has not changed. The Way of Truth in Life was, is and is to be Trusting/Faithful Obedience, even unto death. To 'mimic', emulate or 'clone' our Glorious King Yahshua in as many ways as possible, trusting that His Word stands Forever as The Father has promised. If we cannot count on His Word, then there is NO TRUTH at all.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with יהוה, and the Word was יהוה.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
    Matt 13:37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of יהוה.
The tares are sown by the enemy, which the vast majority of people accept readily. Not because it aligns with every Word of YHWH, but because they WANT these 'myths' to be true in their hearts. The same hearts which they like to say 'god knows my heart' - Yes He Does!
Matt 23:1 Then spake Yahushua to the multitude, and to his disciples,
2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
Verse 3 above = Hear and Obey (Sh'mah) Moses (Torah). There is no ambiguity here, other than that which is sown in the stony hearts of men. He would not and could not command to Obey Moshe in one breath and then say, according to 'christianity', that Moshe has been done away with.
What kind of heart does our Father desire to give us? An obedient heart, one which Has His Word (Torah) written on it, thus making us to Walk in His Way of Truth in Life.
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith יהוה, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their Elohim, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know יהוה: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith יהוה; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
The time of refining is just ahead, and many blind/closed eyes will be opened. It will be accomplished in His timing and to His Glory!

We don't follow the 603 laws of Moses but we follow the 10 commandments which were written by God hand on the tablets and christ teachings. In Matthew 5:19 after teaching the 10 commandments Jesus said "whosoever, therefore breaks one of these least commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in relation to the kingdom of heavens. But whosoever does them and teaches them will be called great in relation to the kingdom of heaven"
In colossians 2: 16 the religious festivals, ceremonies and sabbaths(different from the 10 commandment weekly sabbath) were nailed to the cross. The sabbath's referred here are ceremonies that used to last 7 consecutive days and included sacrifices of animals. There are 7 of this kind of sabbath festivals in total throughtout the year. Paul is saying this sabbaths are no longer needed because jesus was the sacrificial lamb on the cross. But the weekly seventy day sabbath is still required. In fact when Paul is writing this letter it to the church and during this period the church kept the 7th day sabbath. The seventh day sabbath didn't get changed by the church until in the 4th century by the council of leodocia centuries after Paul was already dead.

Hi, I am sure this have been mentioned before BUT to the point of about the priesthood that in 1 Peter we are all called to be a royal priesthood, this isn’t new to the New Testament. God called the children in Exodus his kingdom of priest and a holy nation IF they obey His words.
And this was while there was a levitical priesthood.
“And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.””
    ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭19‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

None of us can keep all of the commandments. If we could then Christ didn't need to die for our sins. But those that make the effort will be welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven. It's those present day christians that say the law is done away with that wont be in the kingdom. And the ones that teach that some of the commandments have been removed or no longer need to be followed that will be the least in the kingdom.
