Satu means story or fairytale in Finnish. Järvi means lake and -nen is a common end to a Finnish last name from eastern Finland. Satu Järvinen is a character that’s supposed to be Finnish. As a Finnish person I’ve always hated the fact that they chose a Swedish actor with no understanding how Finnish is pronounced. She speaks bad ”Google translate” Finnish with a strange accent. She fits the role really well and looks more Finnish than Swedish (Finnish ancestors?) but I wish she would’ve at least taken some Finnish lessons.

@@AllPowersExplained actually in the books it's explained as a form of psychometry thing. Having full access to a person, mind body and soul. But it's quite painful and usually leaves scars. It's only used as a last resort for witches. As Diana is practically god-touched as well as spell bound, the spell couldn't really get anything out of her but still left the scar and pain.
