The max of ram you can upgrade is 40gb (1-32gb, 1-8gb soldered) and the ram speed is 4800! so, you spent a little more money for nothing because the 5600 will downgrade to 4800 anyways! you will have performance issues. Peace!!
Hi! 32 GB ram stick is more widely available, but 48 GB stick also exists (which I used). About RAM frequency you are right, it downgrades to soldered RAM speed anyway. Thanks for your comment and have a good one!
Probably you will not need more than 32 gb, so if a 48 gb stick is much more expensive, rather use a 32 gb stick. This would sum up in a 40 gb of ram (8 plus 32).
Hi! How much soldered RAM does your model have? I think the only issue can be, that the RAM stick is not detected and it uses only RAM soldered directly to the motherboard. Check if you inserted the stick firmly and that the stick is compatible. It is also possible that the RAM stick is faulty.
i have same laptop with same 8gb onboard. so for upgrade this max is 48+8 GB ? i want to add 32gb + 8gb is save ? i ask to seller max is 16gb is true ?
@@regularguyrepairguy but some issue is dual chanel only actif for 8gb.. so if i use more than 8gb, sistem can onli use 8gb for dual chanel and singgle chanel for the rest.. its true ? Now i use 8gb + 8gb on board.. i want to upgrade but.. i think 16 gb + 8 gb is enough. Its can be 8+8 for dual chanel + 8 singgle chanel ?
It then always uses just 16 GB as dual channel (8 plus 8). Usage after 16 GB is a single channel, but you will not notice the difference in most use cases

@@regularguyrepairguyso is it better to get 48 gb stick or 32?

Nothing about cloning the hard drive with drivers first
Please see a separate video that I have posted about this topic. Thanks for your comment!
Yo I put a 32gb one in it but I only get 16gb max, I did something wrong ?

@@regularguyrepairguy Yes my ram was not well inserted! Noob error
to the left of the SSD it seems like there is another slot for a 2nd SSD can you confirm?
In total, there are just 2 SSD slots. Thanks for your comment!
@@regularguyrepairguy ahh thankyou i think just 1 slot I want to upgrade to 1 tb
This works for the ROG Zephyrus G15 GA503RW_GA503RW right? Just confirming lol
Yes it should work

Hi! Yes, 48 GB plus 8 GB is maximum in this case. 32 GB with 8 GB on the board is also possible.

How much RAM and SSD I can max out?
For SSD there is no limit as I am aware of. For RAM 48 GB single stick plus on board soldered memory (8 GB or 16 GB depends on the model)
