- Ledward Kaapana’s mastery of stringed instruments, particularly slack key guitar, and his extraordinary baritone and leo ki`eki`e (falsetto) voices have made him a musical legend. With easy-going style and kolohe (rascal) charm, he has built a loyal corps of “Led Heads” from Brussels to his birthplace on the Big Island of Hawaii. Recognition by his peers earned Kaapana four Grammy® nominations and two wins on slack key compilations.
Presented in collaboration with the 2017 D.C. Smithsonian Folklife Festival and the Library of Congress Homegrown Series. - Розваги
Amazing! This man is gifted. No one sings like him!
Thanks for making life more beautiful!
Great music! We just discovered Led on our Rogers State University's Channel 35 last night on TV! Love it! So relaxing and beautiful!
I just landed on this quite by accident this afternoon while I was sewing and talk about an enjoyable time. You've made my day. What sweet sweet beautiful music. Thank You!
If this great guitar picking doesn't rid you of whatever stress you carry, and put you in a happy and relaxed mood, nothing will! Thanks for sharing, buddy! And by the way, he's got a great voice too!
This the beautiful mussic tank for you miter Ledwar Kaapana.
Mahalo Ledward, you are a genius. You have a gigantic following. Aloha nui and greetings from Australia - the biggest Pacific island.
I am Australian by birth but Hawaiian by choice!
I love this whole performance, start to finish. Led, you are a gem in this world. Mahalo for all you do.
Thank you! Ledward's music soothes my soul!
Such sweet sounds from Ledford! He and Frank and their friends provide the most relaxing and enchanting sonic breezes from that lovely place in the world - Hawaii. The trade winds and surf sounds are the only parts missing, but they are there in memory. Thank you again! Bless you and those you love.
This extraordinary performance blows me away. I just found it now. Been a fan for decades. He is unlike any other performer I know of. His guitar has a life of its own, it breathes the spirit of Hawaii. Also he is a master teacher. In one minute he just now teaches us about the unique style of playing Hawaiian guitar, what the left hand does with melody and the right hand with bass. Effortless at every aspect of his genius. Mahalo.
I lived Hawai'i my whole life and have never seen unko Ledward Kaapana. Sadly.
True Master at work here.
Led brings the spirit of Aloha everywhere he goes. His humble and happy nature blends with his extraordinary talent on the instruments, as he makes them TALK! I could listen 24/7
