Yes they play very actively and sweetly.... I too had one baby squirrel and mine was just as play full as her ... Also if you give them small pieces of clothes pieces they like to stuff their mouth with it and again let it out and again stuff their face with it and it learns to make it's nest with those clothes ... They also collect cotten and make balls to make their nest ... Next time when you see squirrels around your house make sure to bring cotton and throw it in front of squirrels their take it away to make their nest ... It has to be noticable to them ... Have a nice time watching play full squirrels near your home you'll see their babies too if they build their net around your house ☺
Hes cute.... I have found with my squirrels to play very gentle... I even have a neon cloth ball safety pinned to an old fishing pole (no hook obviously) and i cast it out... And reel it in... And they love to chase it and play... Very much like cats and dogs play❤
I have a squirrel that does the same. She will jump up onto the handle and peer through the glass. She was very shy at first, but now comes and takes whatever I'm feeding her directly from my hands. The other squirrels will come within 5 feet of me to get food, but they won't come any closer.
Haha watching squirrel videos because this has been happening to me the last few days. Comes everyday around 4-5PM and knocks on my back door and then waits for his peanuts and sunflower seeds. Today it even let me pet it. My wife tells me it is not the same squirrel lol but I know it is because of it's body language.
I grew up as a child in the allagash wilderness of Maine, i've had many many wild pet friends including Racoons, Bobcats, Foxes, etc , but the squirrels were my favorite, never a dull moment and they would greet me on a daily basis with the utmost mischievous loving ways that i could have ever imagined in my wildest childhood dreams, so excited to have had such fond and loving memories of one of Gods smallest creatures he ever created , thank you for this video...

Word up. Squirrels are problem-solving smart. I 'member one time, I put my bag of peanuts in my hoodies side-pocket after I got done feeding one of my little buddies. Couple minutes later, I'm browsing on my laptop, little buddy crawls up my leg, situates himself on my thigh, and pulled my bag of peanuts out of my hoodie pocket. The intelligence doesn't stop there: He proceeded to leap away from me with the bag of nuts, I made eye contact with him and mimicked a high-pitch squirrel-sound that I often hear them make in stressful situations: He paused in his tracks, realized he was wrong and brought the bag of nuts back to me. Then I fed him some more as a reward for his display of accountability. They are *INCREDIBLY INTELLIGENT* !!!!!!!

We have 2 squirrels visiting our garden every day. I've named them Slinky and Fattie. They love monkey nuts and walnuts. It males me smile when i toss out a walnut and they run off with it.
Squirrel 🐿 are amazing very friendly and they can be very mellow also. They are very sweet. We need to have laws to will allow us haven them as pets, and care for them when needed.
I spoil a few squirrels. On nice days they come n go in and out. But all the patience i use, the variety of nuts I buy it seems they know my girlfriend is a mom or female in general & they trust her instantly 🐿👍🏽 Cool video.

I have 4 squirrels, loads of crows and tiny birds ;) I started to say "hello" a lot to the crows. I swear to you on the bible, one of the crows learned to say "hello" and says it back now. So I said to my mother "Am I insane for talking to these animals as they are now talking back?! Or did they save my sanity through my hard time?" She said, "I think it is the latter!" Meaning, all this stuff is going on outside and we just walk by, head hung down with our own troubles. Not to be too religious or anything, but God says in the Bible, he created the world and all its creatures for us. I cannot tell you the horror I have just lived and I know it might sound crazy..BUT! The little animals all around us? So much grace, beauty, wonderment etc. If any "humans" are causing you to feel down? Please try spending time with some animals, any animals, even at a local shelter, they need people to walk the dogs for 10 minutes outside their kennels, best soul, mind and emotional soothing medicine that God ever created :) Best, e.

(well, i am HERE ne way) im running this other channel & I realize im no1 big, in the world of preteen U-Tubers, but that's not to say that I aint appreciated elsewhere. (nature is the kinda reality that u can actually TOUCH) u c... it all started with this lil guy, comin to us for hand-out 1day. he was so young & small & my Hubby said that when he stood up, his lil business all stuck up, like "HELLO!" (definitely a male) &then I told him my childhood story, bout my Mom rescuing 3 babies that fell out of a nest, right out front here. we got the 2 biggest pine trees in the neighborhood & theres a chestnut tree justa couple houses away (where my story/relationship with squirrels REALLY began/1 almost killed me) &then theres the Catalpa tree right next-door, with its annual bean sprout thingies. itsa Squirrely Paradise over here! this house has been dubbed to b "The Peanut Butter House" u c... that 1 lil squirrel decided to come back .. &then he KEPT coming back. so we gave him a name .. I feed the purely wild grey squirrels behind my mother's house periodically. They weren't raised by humans, and only the 1 squirrel who actually lives in her property is familiar with us enough that he/she doesn't run away when I walk within 20 feet of it. But I read and watched videos showing that squirrels like avocados and a bunch of other fruits and veggies. So I tried feeding them that stuff, with no apparent luck. They like nuts, but I haven't actually seen them eat anything else than that.
@Mr B I was considering buying black oil sunflower seeds from the grocery store several months ago, because they seemed to be cheaper than regular, larger striped sunflower seeds. But I was concerned that they may be too small for full grown squirrels to be able to open and consume. Or, more likely our ultra-picky squirrels just wouldn't eat them! If the black oil seeds aren't too small for squirrels to manage, then I'll try them soon. Did they bother carrying off the black oil seeds and stashing/burying them for later, or do they just eat them immediately?
@@patrickmcleod111 I feed the squirrels black oil seeds. They don't carry them off. They eat them right there. The adults have no problems and in fact can open and eat the kernels super fast. If they aren't that hungry, they do carry peanuts off to hide them.

But I was concerned that they may be too small for full grown squirrels to be able to open and consume. Or, more likely our ultra-picky squirrels just wouldn't eat them! If the black oil seeds aren't too small for squirrels to manage, then I'll try them soon. Did they bother carrying off the black oil seeds and stashing/burying them for later, or do they just eat them immediately?
@@patrickmcleod111 I feed the squirrels black oil seeds. They don't carry them off. They eat them right there. The adults have no problems and in fact can open and eat the kernels super fast.
If they aren't that hungry, they do carry peanuts off to hide them.
