I used to stay with some friends in Arkansas that the outside their house looked horrendous, cheap, and run down. You go inside it was like the twilight zone a complete mansion. Absolutely beautiful. Amazing what making the outside " ugly " can detour lolol.
There was a prepper suggestion for when power, food and water are gone, to stay or get thin, and to toss some shit out to look like you've already been plundered. Trash your own yard!

Same for taxes here too. Definitely detours street thieves and govt thieves! 😂👍

1. Step 1. Fortify/overwatch/etc Step 2. Meet with your neighbor and tell them you’re the new owner and its a clean slate and give them your phone number if they ever need assistance. Step 3. Some excellent advice ive heard was fortify your master bedroom with an exterior door, then fortify your master closet or master bathroom with a exterior door as well. Multiple layers.
I recommend an interior lock or latching device on exterior storm doors as well. I t will help buy more seconds.

@@watchandpray8918 I think he meant your screen door with the glass in it. A few extra seconds whilst you lock and load.
@@garychandler4296 Thanks. I see the point. I always locked the storm door on my house because I felt more secure opening my door when someone rang the bell.

Fortify it by storing your tannerite and ball bearing stash inside
Great info. I've been doing a lot of these same things over the years. Just moved into a new house and the 1st thing I did while changing the locks was take out the 1/2 in screws in the door plates and replace them with 3in. The difference between 2 kicks to get in and 5 or 6 can mean life or death, for you or them.
I mean while I was active duty infantry.. the locks are weak. Not just the screws.

“Honey! Call Bob and tell him to come quickly and bring his shovel!”
The screws is a solid tip that really works and anyone can do. Something I did for a bug in option was I drilled a hole and sunk a half inch steel tube in the floor behind the front door, and bolted a steel tube on the door itself- in the event I need it, or at night while asleep-I made a kick brace out of an old motorcycle shock, (any shock absorber works I made one for my brother with a mountain bike frame shock and it works great) slide it in place and even if someone kicks/smashes in the dead bolt the door just bounces back at them. It takes the force and bounces back instead of smashing through. Keeps an intruder in one position, frustrated, and unaware of where you are or what's holding the door.
Great idea and another one up into the door header with Steel plates on each side where tube goes into header!!
Thanks! Great idea

Two years later... Still a great vid. 👍
The double gates he’s talking about also applies to doors. If possible you want to have the first outside door lead into a room with a second door. That way you can open the first door, lock it behind you and then open the second door that leads into the actually housing unit.

Plot twist, his neighbour's just watched this video
If the fall is tomorrow, here's what the property should have:
1:) privacy fence (varying sizes)
2:) 3-5ft wide, 8ft deep trench inside the fence (camouflage with basic foliage)
3:) fruit trees lining along the inside of the trench line, set to bloom at different times to give you food coverage...
The fence hides the trench, the trench prevents a vehicular assault, and protects the trees, which are loaded with switch armed claymores (cost 40$ each to make or so) wired to battery banks.
Listen if you can defend your property from a safe room by clicking different wires to a battery, your family is far more secure than if you own a firearm.

Most common locks can be defeated by the bump key, still too cheap to get the double cylinder so I get the bar against the door knob when at home. Wireless cameras usually useless with solar charging batteries run out or flaky wifi. Wire up your place with Cat5e to a central location and install the cameras, no need for seperate power wire. One high wall breach then run cable under eaves. Use remote app to check in anytime. Surveillance sign edge of property and alarm yard signs. An armed helicopter circling above also helps but its a option.

Different types of fowl (chickens/birds 🐦 in general) are great automatic alarm systems to all kinds of threats. Some even work as a guard dog of types but no bark (game roosters).

Great video. But for people with less money you can try this:
Have tall walls or fences and build them really solid.
Install a camera surveilance system for the outside perimeter of the property and for the outside perimeter of the house. if you have tricky places include those too and install cameras at face level on every entry to the house.
Have an alarm system with panic buttons in every primary area.
Deny acces through the top of the house, fence or perimeter walls. Put razer wire (the one in coil) and electrify it with 220 volts.
Have dogs, as many as you can deal with both in trainning and maintanance (generally 2 is the minimum).
Set up your house in your favor. If anyone can actually pass through the electrified wire over the fence, channel them into an obligatory entry point where you have a shooting plattform with cover and concealment for you but leaving them unable to get cover from your bullets or concealment from your sight.
Install security guards ofer windows and buy that bulletproof film. Have your entry locks automated so they close and ask for the key or finger print inmediately and every time it needs to be opened. Have metalic security doors on main entries.
If you are building your house from the bottom, have a concealed security room nobody knows about and make shure nobody can get in even if they find it.
Place security lights
And if you are absolutely trapped in the situation and you wont be able to scape, be shure to have a cellphone and a door opening button so police can get there and get inside the house to help you (worst case scenario).
And please, have a long firearm and enough ammunition to kill all zombies in the walking death.
